ridiculous - his drums swamp the whole track ....they sound like they are all a mile behind him - i hate it .....but , you like it ...good for you - but i like GUITAR !!!
I just recently heard the remixed version on “Smashes, Thrashes, and Hits” and I have to admit, I like the drums better on that version. The drums aren’t as overpowering, not as much reverb or whatever is on this one. Still a kick ass song in every way, shape, or form though.
First concert I ever went to was KISS in 1978. I have been to well over 100 concerts in my time and by the way, have seen them 4 times. By far they were the loudest ever. Ears would ring for a day after the show.
FINALLY!!! More KISS! You're gonna hear this a lot but you need to check them out LIVE! The best performances are from the early days with the original 4 members but any good quality live version video is worth checking out. They have albums spanning like 5 decades the library is huge, their style evolved with the times and because of this and the different member line-ups each era of KISS has a different sound/vibe. They are almost a different band from album to album. Check out - I Stole Your Love (Live), Black Diamond, (Live), Cold Gin (Live), Parasite (Live), Dirty Livin (Studio)...sooo many others! For the most part you want live from like 75-79...when they were on top of the world!
@Chris Sarina - I almost forgot about MTV Unplugged! Anything from that set, but Nothing to Lose and Rock n Roll All Nite from Unplugged features the original members + the current members at that time Bruce Kulick and Eric Singer, 6 man band awesome! Also they put out an album of covers called KISS My A** featuring some interesting acts you wouldn't associate with KISS! (Lenny Kravitz, Garth Brooks)
Can't do rock without including KISS. These guys are a great visual band. Lights, smoke, fire, all sorts of theatrics. Good times to be had. But I'd really recommend their live stuff. Otherwise it's like July 4th with your eyes closed! Peace!
They're not my favorite band but I do really enjoy them. I've seen them five times in concert and hands down they are the best party band to go see. I've seen more concerts than I can remember and no one beats them for bringing the house down in a party way. Every time was a blast.
I've been listening to KISS since I was 10 years old in 1976, so to watch these kids listening to KISS like turning over a rock and seeing a bug for the first time cracks me up. "What is it? I don't know." Lol
People's reaction now do seem like that, don't they? (I too have been a diehard fan since '76.) The reactions are quite similar to the reactions from my own kids, when I first played KISS for them back in the '80s and '90s.😁
I feel Kiss is a very important band in the grand scheme of metal. They inspired 80s metal, especially glam, hair rock, extreme live stage shows, and then probably indirectly all of the extreme metal that would come after. Kiss was a phenomenon there was nothing else like them at the time.
KISS songs are good. When you listen to KISS performing them live, they are AMAZING. --- I liked them. Then I went to see them in concert, and I was knocked out of this realm in wonder. They are tops or right at the top of any band live.
1982 when they still had their rock-n-roll faces on. This band changed rock in the early 70's and never felt guilty about it, they were loud, they were all about the parties and ladies, and back then, that was great.
"Shout it out Loud", "Detroit Rock City", "I was made for Loving You", "Love Gun", "Beth", "Plaster Caster", "Rock and Roll all Night"... you have almost FIFTY YEARS of the "KISS ARMY"! you've opened a BIG BARREL of Worms to be Reacted to! The Live Shows are Spectacular as well!
Growing up in my neighbourhood in the 70's, Kiss was one of the big 4. Everyone was listening to AC/DC, Black Sabbath Led Zeppelin and Kiss. It was a true rock and roll hood. At the local sandwich shop they had the kiss pinball machine. We spent hours pumping that machine with quarters and playing pinball. Great memories
KISS is a band that must be seen to be heard. Please react to Live KISS. KISS rock and roll night party every day live from the MTV Music awards 1997. OR I STILL LOVE YOU LIVE FROM MTV'S UNPLUGGED. YOU GET TO SEE PAUL STANLEY THE STARCHILD AND GENE SIMMONS THE DEMON WITHOUT MAKEUP. With newer members Eric Singer drums and Bruce Kulick guitar.
Yeah, there is no way to 'get' KISS without seeing them perform live. Half of what's going on is missing. That's why I prefer it when reactors use the videos, but conceal them from us so they don't have copyright issues. Especially for them, looking from another era's perspective, that added context is pretty huge. Hearing Janis Joplin without seeing her loses a lot of what people loved about Janis. Same here.
@Chief10 Beers I believe it's reasonable to assume that KISS did not wear makeup and costumes because they perceived their act didn't have an important visual element. I love them, but they aren't known as great composers, just solid players with a great act. We can listen to those kinds of bands on the radio and bop along and have fun, agreed. But for people who've seen them in makeup, the songs exist in a different context, and the truth is made of both a fact and its context. So agreed, on the radio they fact is that they are still legit. But that does not mean the version with the visual layer added is not what the radio is, plus a whole other sense. That too is legit, without taking anything away from your valid point.
While I would agree that to get the "ultimate, complete" KISS experience, then yes see the stage show. But if you are going to do that, male sure to watch both a show during the makeup years AND a show during the non-makeup years.......That being said, I actually disagree that you need to see the show in order to understand and relate to the songs. Admittedly, I became more of a fan after seeing them on the Paul Lynde Halloween special in 1976. But they were already my favorite group before I ever seen that. Heck, the only time I seen them in person was in '85 or '86. And my seat was so far from the stage that I could barely see it..... So, in my unasked for opinion, no a person doesn't need to experience the stage show. All is needed is to immerse (sp) yourself in the music and lyrics. Let your brain do the rest.😎
@Chief10 Beers Yeah, agreed, it's hard for people today to imagine that, before recorded video, we might never have seen a major performer we listened to a lot. But even then, even when it was just live, there were still bands in that Glam Rock style--which KISS saw the tail end of --.where the visuals were considered a major component of being a fan of that band. Not seeing Neil Young live I could live with. But not seeing Pink Floyd or Kiss live is, to me and many others, an additional experience. So I do think if they saw them live, they would 'get' them better than just hearing the songs.
All about loud, 1982, Creatures Of The Night, this was the single from the album and it fades out at the end only to come back just a bit louder and fade away again and end. One of the loudest bands of the 70s, but always lost out to The Who. At 120+ decibels, that's LOUD!!! HUGS!!! :P

Saw them in Corpus Christi, Texas on the Lick It Up Tour (first one without their makeup) in either late 1983 or early 84'. One of my first concerts. I was 13. The bands Riot (from New York) and Vandenberg opened up for them.
As others have said KISS is a show band and just hearing the song is only half the experience. I know it’s not always practical to do videos but maybe you can watch the video on your own time to see the rest of the presentation. Queen is another one that really benefits from watching the whole show to get the experience.
Hands-down KISS is the greatest concert you could ever go to.... Definitely see them if they come around, as they're on a long "farewell" tour and you might not ever get the chance again. Everything is great with them live - performance, lights, pyros, lasers, big screens - it's incredible...
Yeah the music is good but the show and videos are part of their whole identity. Whenever you do a Kiss reaction you need the video to go with it, would have been more entertained watching ng the video and not the lyrics one.
So I went to a ACDC Thunderstruck concert. I got so waisted I couldn't really comprehend the sounds or what I was seeing. I walked past one of the large speakers though and I FELT the music. I ended up standing in front of the speaker, my nose inches from it with my eyes closed just loving it. If you have a large loud speaker. Put on something you can get into. Turn it up loud. Put your face and inch or two from it. And feel the music right between your eyes. I've done this sober as well.
Yes✌😎 They came to my town back in the 70s😜 It was crazy cool. Our whole town did the make up, had a parade, dinner etc... Helicopter landed on our football field n they made a grand exit!!! Cadillac, Mi.❤
Loudest damn' band I ever saw - when the played Donington it was beyond loud. The festival PA was a new record 1 million watts - Kiss added their touring PA to that... I can still feel it.
Yeah guys Kiss is best seen live or at least the official video for the songs. Always been a live show band even though the music has always been underrated also.
I've seen KISS in concert 3x, with all 4 original band members (Ace & Peter) as well as the current lineup. If I could go a 4th, I totally would! And yes, I went in full makeup. 🤘😁
I'm glad to see you do Kiss. In the early 70's - I was in the Kiss Army - which was just a clever marketing scheme - this is a 'mediocre' rock band that was brilliant at marketing themselves - they earned millions in royalties by putting their image on everything from keychains to kids' lunch pails. They even had a famous made-for-TV movie in the 70's. My personal favorite Kiss song is Strutter. Thanks for you reactions.
The kiss army was not a marketing scheme, but a grass roots movement by a guy named bill starkey in Indiana to get the local radio station to play KISS songs in honor of an upcoming sold out concert. Starkey promised an "army" of fans would show up outside the radio station and they did. Kiss was so impressed by this that, from then on the fan club would be called the KISS army!
don't forget the marvel comic 4 part series, Jedd...Stan Lee recalls it fondly on his documentary, he said it was Marvel's biggest seller that year, outsold all the superhero titles.
I rocked the Kiss lunch pail from 80-84 (5 to 9 years old). I used to tell people that Ace Freshly was my favorite member. Obviously I didnt know much about Kiss or music in general, but I loved that Lunch Pail and Mr Freshly and it started a lifelong love or music for sure.
Everyone always says the same songs. Got to Choose, Magic Touch, Sure Know Something, and one of their best songs that hardly anyone knows is Nowhere To Run, which shows how great of a vocalist Paul Stanley really is.
Yeah, kind of had to be a diehard fan to know about Nowhere To Run considering that it was (I think) only released originally on a non-USA album, "Killers" (I think the album title was). I had the album. But it was so long ago...
@@willhorting5317 Yes initially outside US but short time later available as import. It's been around long time. So fans going through their catalog over the years should know about it.
This is KISS's version of AC/DC's "For Those About To Rock". It's a Rock anthem. I love KISS. But of the two, I'd put For Those About To Rock ahead of I Love It Loud. It's all about feeling the full force of the music. He wants the sound to hit him right between the eyes like a real punch in the face.
Since it's usually associated with being shot / blown away violently with a bullet, "right between the eyes" is just a reference to EXTREME, in-your-face loudness. Check more Kiss or you're missing out. Mr. Speed, Reason To Live, Strutter, or anything from their early days would be good.
"Right between the eyes" is also a reference to a punch in the face. The ideal punch (sudden, hard, and square in your face) that knocks you back on your A$$.
Right want it loud right between the eyes,to me,means so loud it doesn't just go through the eyes.it hits so hard it smashes directly into your brain. IMO
You should have watched official video. Way better than just reading the lyrics, but thanks for checking out some KISS!! Please watch and react to some classic live 70's era KISS!!
My very first concert was KISS. I'm now 57 and have seen many awesome concerts, Sabbath 4 times, VH 8 times, RUSH twice, Ted Nugent twice but none of them were as loud or as awesome on stage as KISS.
@Chief10 Beers I saw KISS in Madison Square Garden cheap seats and my ears rang for 3 days. I bet those guys you saw were awesome though. Sounds like it would be a good show.
If you are just now discovering KISS.. PLEASE go watch live shows!! Best stage show of ANY band. The rest of us have been watching them for almost 50 years now. You owe it to yourself!!
When listening to KISS from the original makeup days, you gotta watch the video performance. Their visual appearance goes hand and hand with the music.
The drummer in this song was Eric Carr. Before KISS took their makeup, I met n ex girlfriend of his and I knew what he looked like with no make up. He was an amazing guy and it broke my heart that EricCarr died from heart cancer. I will NEVER forget him.
Bassists/singer Gene Simmons wears a man bun as part of his Demon persona…he & samurai warriors are really the only men that should be allowed to were this otherwise ridiculous hairstyle😳
Ah yes, KISS. Brute force rock and roll - they never met a bridge they couldn't force into a song. Somehow they kept getting better in spite of themselves.
With Kiss you really need to see them with all their makeup on to get the total experience. This is the perfect video to and it even has the lyrics at the bottom of the screen: ruclips.net/video/LMcDg2HwOnM/видео.html
Also Good rule of thumb going into KISS songs Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley Pretty much do all the writing and singing. Gene Sung this song. Now Rule of Thumb a GENE song is Normally about Getting ass and kicking ass. A PAUL song is normally about Getting ass and shaking your ass.
Yes...go back and watch something early and Live. Try the video: *KISS - Deuce - The Midnight Special - 1975* I saw them three times....'79_'96(Reunion Tour)_'00 (Farewell Tour). The first two of those three were with the original members.
Brad & Lex, please let an old man that's been a KISS fan since '76, give you a n opinion......"I Love It Loud" is a party anthem (IMHO). To me, it's "hitting between the eyes" line has always referred to simply "play the music loud, & to heck what the neighbors think". The line, "2 fisted 'til the very end", refers to being such a fan, that you are committed to being a fan no matter what anyone else says or does. The line, "We're not going to be treated like aliens", refers to not being treated like weirdos because we are KISS fans........ Again, these are just opinions of how I have always perceived the lyrics......As for the opinion of treated like aliens or weirdos, I could relate to that on a personal level. I grew up in a tiny farming community. And when I say tiny, I mean just that. The year I graduated, there were only 60 students in the entire high school (Freshman--Senior), & only about 150 in the elementary school....... Between my ages of 12-18, I was only 1 of 2 students who listened to KISS. I was the "normal" one. The other guy was a pothead. But we both were continually bullied about listening to the band.......... But enough crying over spilled milk.......Yes, KISS was/is a "loud" band. But they also had a much less bombastic side to their music too. And the album that "I Love It Loud" is from, "Creatures Of The Night", IMHO gives a person a glimpse of all sides of the band's music........You have now heard from the "loud" side. Now check out the soft ballad side of the band from the same album. Check out the song, "I Still Love You". Either the original studio version, or as it seems most reviewers do, the acoustic version from MTV's "KISS Unplugged........As for other suggestions from the same album, "Creatures Of The Night" (title track); "War Machine"; "Saint And Sinner"; "Danger"..........Or/also go back to songs from the KISS of the 1970's, such as, "Black Diamond"; "King Of The Night Time World"; "Love Gun"; "Strutter"; "Hard Luck Woman"; or "Beth".
there was a video with this song to watch when mtv actually played videos also to check out from kiss, parasite, strangeways, i still llove you, i want you, makin love, 100,000 years, deuce, rock bottom ,black diamond ,too many to list ,i just wanna

Saw them in Corpus Christi, Texas on the Lick It Up Tour (first one without their makeup) in either late 1983 or early 84'. One of my first concerts. I was 13. The bands Riot (from New York) and Vandenberg opened up for them.
Awww.. should have done the official video. :)
As others have said KISS is a show band and just hearing the song is only half the experience. I know it’s not always practical to do videos but maybe you can watch the video on your own time to see the rest of the presentation. Queen is another one that really benefits from watching the whole show to get the experience.
"Beth" is my all-time favorite KISS song, but they have a HUGE list of hits worth checking out.
Hands-down KISS is the greatest concert you could ever go to.... Definitely see them if they come around, as they're on a long "farewell" tour and you might not ever get the chance again. Everything is great with them live - performance, lights, pyros, lasers, big screens - it's incredible...
RIght on, somehow KISS live is 5 times better than anything recorded.
My best friend growing up was a huge kiss fan. We would play this to wake up his younger sister n her friends
Yeah guys Kiss is best seen live or at least the official video for the songs. Always been a live show band even though the music has always been underrated also.
For Lex, two-fisted is a drinking reference.
Two fisted is also a boxing reference. Think about the stance... It ties into the right between the eyes line...
I've seen KISS in concert 3x, with all 4 original band members (Ace & Peter) as well as the current lineup. If I could go a 4th, I totally would!
And yes, I went in full makeup. 🤘😁
So great! Love Lex's reaction! Also Brad is right on point with how good the delivery of the verses are. Simple song but so effective!
Facts!
You can legit buy a KISS coffin that doubles as a beer cooler, when you don't need it yet. Not kidding. Look that shit up.
Ah, no worries. Didn't mean to sound like a know-it-all, sir. Have a good weekend.😎
@@willhorting5317 no I didn't think that. Have a good one.
I love the look on her face. As her smile gets bigger and bigger
Anything off Kiss MTV unplugged is awesome I Still Love You amazing vocals.
Check out KISS from the same album “I Still Love You”. Great song.
Strait ahead Rock.......... Love what you guys are doin and great to see your brother joining in. Cheers from Montreal
He is saying he wants the music to punch 👊🏻 you right between the eyes 👀....FYI, double fisted is beer in each hand 🍻
The neighbors love listening to this with me.
Kiss is at their best live...gotta watch some live stuff
Hey check out one of their best songs..."Heaven's on Fire."
IMO
It still is going lol. They got y'all. You missed the rest lol
Fits like A Glove for next kiss
You should have watched official video. Way better than just reading the lyrics, but thanks for checking out some KISS!! Please watch and react to some classic live 70's era KISS!!
When it comes to KISS...official videos are mandatory.
I grew up with KISS...so much fun 🤘
My very first concert was KISS. I'm now 57 and have seen many awesome concerts, Sabbath 4 times, VH 8 times, RUSH twice, Ted Nugent twice but none of them were as loud or as awesome on stage as KISS.
The only band louder was ACDC
@@metadeth578 How long did your ears ring after you saw them?
@@dorkmier they're still ringing
@@metadeth578 ha
@Chief10 Beers I saw KISS in Madison Square Garden cheap seats and my ears rang for 3 days. I bet those guys you saw were awesome though. Sounds like it would be a good show.
You 2 should check out ( Calling Dr. Love ) by Kiss
It’s basically a metaphorical line, “[I want it so loud that it hits me right between the eyes.]” (like a punch to the face)
Ha! 2 fisted is having a drink in each hand, you know, drinking hardcore. Hehehe.
You need to do more KISS for sure. Do Strutter and Love Gun for starters.
One of those bands I never really understood, most of my friends liked them bit not me.
"but "
Completely forgot this song even existed … yet how do I remember every lyric? Ahh. Preteen tears. 😂
If you get a chance to go see KISS on their end of the road tour you should definitely do it. They really put on a show. You all would love it!
The drummer in this song was Eric Carr. Before KISS took their makeup, I met n ex girlfriend of his and I knew what he looked like with no make up. He was an amazing guy and it broke my heart that EricCarr died from heart cancer. I will NEVER forget him.
Possibly the only kiss song that I really like! It's the drums I think that make it epic
Right between the eyes, the loudness gets into your head and you have to hear it loud. I'm 52 and still listen to loud music.
hear it so loud that it feels like a punch between the eyes
I recently heard this song after finishing the Guardians of the Galaxy video game.
Come on KISS ARMY! Let’s convince Lex why KISS is the Greatest rock band in the world!!
Oh, thank the good lord!! Kiss baby, more please.
She’s right! The music is to punch you in the faceI’ve seen them seven different times. They’re my favorite band
Bassists/singer Gene Simmons wears a man bun as part of his Demon persona…he & samurai warriors are really the only men that should be allowed to were this otherwise ridiculous hairstyle😳
This is one of my favorite kiss songs
I still feel this was one of the Best Kiss songs ever!!!
Yes, it's good to see the stage presentation. But not required to be in makeup. The presentation was/is just as good without the makeup (IMO).
BLACK DIAMOND
An anthem to get the crowd involved
Need to watch the official video, Makes it so much better. They are a good group and they put on one hell of a show then.....
Classic Gene Simmons KISS power song.
ERIC CARR ON DRUMS 🥁RIP ERIC✌❤🤘
Those drums my goodness 😍
....."You wanted the best...you got the best....KISSSSSS"!!!
KISS - War Machine, Parasite, Charisma, All Hells Breaking Loose
Probably my favorite kiss tune!
If something hits you between the eyes, that means it's powerful enough to knock you off your feet. That's how I always took it.
Saw then in 1985. Been a fan ever since.
there was a video with this song to watch when mtv actually played videos also to check out from kiss, parasite, strangeways, i still llove you, i want you, makin love, 100,000 years, deuce, rock bottom ,black diamond ,too many to list ,i just wanna
Kiss fkn rocks , two fitted means having a shot glass in both hands and taking a double shot
