It figures a man would say something like that 😂😂! Gene, Paul, Peter, Ace the originals where married so wasn't Eric, Vinny, and Tommy. So it doesn't matter if Jamal is married he still officially can be in the Kiss Army 🥰!!!
My 10 year old grandson loves KISS. My fiance and I took him to see KISS in our area 5 years ago. His very first concert! He absolutely loved it and was totally enamored with Gene Simmons! What a great night that was. One of the best concerts I've ever been to I must say.
Kiss Army fans feel those lyrics. If you liked KISS back in the day, you were an outcast. Gene is just saying it's okay to be an outcast. We are just as important as everyone else. Loved that message. This show was awesome. There was a huge tank and the drums were the gun turret. It was a really wicked show.
I took some of my friends that were guitar players and into thrash, nu-metal and such to a KISS concert. They used to bag on the band about being "old" and "3 chord party songs". The concert blew them away and total converts to KISS fans. I also reminded them that without KISS, there wouldn't be a lot of the bands they liked.
I saw Kiss live in 1977, I was 16 years old. One of the best concerts ever. Fire breathing, blood spitting, pyrotechnics and levitating drummer/drums! I was front stage and center. I had fake blood all over my shirt and I felt as if my face was sun burnt with no eyebrows!!! Best friggin experience of my rock and roll 16 year old life. Good times!
I wish I could have seen them back then. The first time I ever saw them was on their Crazy Nights tour. Saw them seven more times after that. The best one being in 96 when Peter and Ace came back. I had shitty seats but I didn’t care I was seeing my original music idols.
Took my daughters to see Kiss for their first concert. They were 7 and 8 at the time. They loved them. Paul gave my brats a little wave from his platform in the crowd.

KISS had Rush as their opening act so much because, as Gene said, "After the show Rush all went backstage and read books. They left all the girls for us."

I was a little kid and a huge KISS fan, and my dad took me and a friend to see them back in 76...the Destroyer Tour.....stayed a huge fan until Ace left. Then when they reunited in make-up I saw them again..think it was 94 or 96.
I've seen KISS 7 times over the years..........first time in 1979, most recent time in 2019. They may not put out the best overall albums, but they DO put on the best damn concert of any band.
Saw them 3 or 4 years ago. It was a great show! Lots of pyro, "flying" band members that were transported mid air to perform for the back of the crowd, then they did the national anthem and honored the veterans in their crew (along with having vets in the audience stand) at the end. I later got to see ex Kiss member Ace Frehley in a tiny venue in Dallas and that was a lot of fun as well.
My very first concert was KISS in 1978!!! In MSG!!!!! WAY before they made this song. This was one of these guys greatest songs!!! They are not Rush....but this was my entry into this music!!!
Seen Kiss multiple times. Even traveled to Detroit to see the reunion tour. Which didn't include this song. But when I seen them without makeup 💄 this was a mainstay song. Totally rocked live. Especially with Eric Car on drums. R.I.P.
It took 42 years but I finally get to see them. The first time the band I was in had a gig the same night so we got to deal with the overflow of folks that couldn't make the show. The second time recently before the world ended, my "friend" and I got turned around going over the mountain pass in February. Sept 24 I finally get to see them. The band got flack for selling out during the disco era with this song.
I've been listening to KISS for a loooong tine and they continue to be one of my all time favorite bands. My prayers have been with Gene and Paul as they recover from Covid. Get well soon guys, you are loved!!!
Always my Fav Kiss song!! I took my daughter to see kiss in Detroit on her 10th B-day. Painted her face and took a vid of her singing this song word for word at the show!! Greatest Show Ever!!👍
I seen KISS 10 times, from 1979 up until a few years ago....in 1996, I was at Tiger Stadium, Detroit ....for the 1st concert of the reunion of the original dudes, Ace, Peter, Gene and Paul....iconic !!!
Seen them five times in concert, with and without the make-up! Each concert was totally KICK *ss!!!! Had the chance to meet them back in the 90s. They couldn't have been nicer. So happy you have discovered KISS! :-)
Oh and I’ve seen Kiss four times live, every time was fantastic. What’s cool, is not only did I get to see them, my kids have seen them twice with me, and my grandchildren once with me. They were blown away. My grandson brought a friend with him, and the friend only listened to rap. The friend told me he’s going to broaden his horizons into old rock. Awesome.
Saw KISS live after Crazy Nights. They were great live, Gene Simmons breathing fire, Paul Stanley jumping around like an acrobat, smoke, lasers and that 40 foot KISS sign. That was in the no-makeup stage, but it was still one of a kind.
Lifelong KISS fan! Best concerts I have ever been to, inside the songs rattle you & the pyrotechnics are very hot! Seen them with alot of great bands, but no one puts on a show like them! This last farewell tour I was leaning over the wall of our balcony suite & Gene was on a floating pedestal & came so close I could have touched him & he winked at me & passed on by!! Sad that was the actual last KISS concert bc I have seen a few in my time even through a thunderstorm! Forever was my first dance wedding song. Great memories from every show!!! The last show I did miss the huge KISS lights with bulbs.
I have seen KISS live 14 times...last time was September of 2019. They have NEVER failed to put on an indescribable show!! No words could come close to what a live KISS concert does to your soul ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I saw KISS live, in the 70's. 80's. 90's, and 2000's. I've seen many famous bands, and KISS had the best live show, of them all. Hands down. Great job Jamel.
I was a huge KISS fan when I was a kid, but the parents would not let me go to their concerts. But years later, when the original four got back together and did their reunion tour, I was there. First show in Indianapolis, the old Market Square arena, and it was fucking incredible. the concert videos didn't do them justice. I saw them again a few years later for their Psycho Circus tour, the last tour where the original four played together. Great memories. They were known for their looks and their pyrotechnics, but they seriously wrote some great rock songs too. The Destroyer album is just a classic rock album, period.
Thank you for doing this! One of my fave songs by Kiss for sure. Heavens on Fire is another good one by them. If you stay into 70's/80's metal for awhile, you really need to check out Cinderella- Gypsy Roads, one of my faves, think you'd love it.
I saw my first KISS show on April 3, 1983, for this album. The reviewer in the newspaper was merciless: "Going to see LISS on Easter Sunday is the equivalent of feeding yourself to the lions". And even better, the support act for the San Francisco show was a very young band called Motley Crue. They were kicked off the tour for doing drugs under the stage.
The song was built to be played live. Gene has one of most commanding voices in rock history. I've seen KISS play 6 or 7 times. Everyone sings along to this one.
I finally got to see KISS live durng their “Farewell Tour Pt.7” (almost evry band does at least 3 or 4 “Farewell Tours”..up here in BFLO NY, in 2019..right B4 the covid pandemic..For being in their mid 60s (Gene & Paul are anywy)..They put on an awsom show..Ovr 2 hrs long..It had a great pyro & laser light show..great music..& was a great time...David Lee Roth (X lead singr for Van Halen was the opening act..He was vry good too, for his age)..
You should see them live, they still put on a good show. My mom used to drive us as teens back in the day 70s to the closest show (2 hours each way). I repaid the favor by taking her to the last show here in Atlanta. She loved it and posed with a good Gene cosplayer in the crowd. She's 82 and still a rocker.
I've got to see them in concert on several occasions. One time I went to see them in concert in the 80's with Motley Crue opening for them. My hair caught fire at the concert... True story!!!!!!! 🤘😎😎🤘🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎉🎉
Thank you very much for reacting to KISS. They were my late husband's favorite band. He was definitely part of the KISS Army. Cold Gin is another good one.
The only time I got to see KISS was for this tour which supported the "Creatures Of The Night" album. That concert at the Louisiana Superdome was straight up wild, loud and CA-RAZEE!!!!
They never put on a bad show. They are incredible live. I saw them in Virginia Beach a few years ago and even in their 60’s they are awesome. Kiss fans are so friendly and fun to hang with.
A Kiss greatest hits album could easily be 100 songs. I went to my first Kiss concert in 77, I was 8 years old in full Gene Simmons makeup. I saw Kiss 7 times live. LOUD concert and awesome everytime.
The Creatures of the Night tour was my first concert, and you're absolutely correct. When this song hit, tears just rolled out of my 12 year old eyes...
I saw KISS open for Aerosmith and wow what a great concert that was! Joe Perry was watching Kiss perform seven seats to my right/one row down.... I almost ran over to touch him.
Eric Carr is the drummer in this music video by KISS. He replaced Peter Criss in the group. His character name was "The Fox". Eric Carr was in the band from 1980 until his death from heart cancer in 1991, at the age of 41.
Fun thing, Kiss' legendary live album series are named "Alive!". The first two of them are "kult klassiks"! They really set a new standard for live albums, with the first one released as early as 1975!
Saw KISS in 79 when I was in 1st grade. then in 2000. both times original members...do some songs off Aces solo like Rip it Out or New york groove or Im in need of love...Great stuff!!... n
I got to see the original lineup. Fantastic show. A little known female artist opened for them, and I became a fan of hers. It was Debbie Harry and Blondie.
@@Almost_Famous_Ryan , I looked years ago and it said Nantucket. I have never seen Nantucket. This was at the old Charlotte Coliseum in North Carolina. I was young enough that it was my first rich concert and my parents took me. My mother fell down the steps, and Paul stopped the show for a minute and asked if she was alright. One of my best friends also went to the shoe with his parents and we met up at the show. Blondie opened. I know that because one of the songs she played was 11:59, she was promoting the Parallel Lines LP, and I loved it so much, I went to the record store, Square Records in Lancaster SC and bought the 45 with 11:59 on it , and I still have that record. I know what the data shows, but I know what I saw, I know what I bought because of the show, the very next day, and I still have that 45 in my room. I have asked my friend who it was that opened, and he said Blondie. We were both semi fans of Nantucket , we had older sisters in the same grade that were friends, and they were bigger fans. Neither of us have seen Nantucket live, but I have opened for them anf Marshall Tucker Band while playing synths for a band I was in years later. And finally, that was the only concert that I went to to see KISS, and that was the only concert I went to until I was old enough to drive to them myself, several years later, without my parents, which would have been 1982 when I got my license. It was Blondie.
@@wolf762x51 It's possible. Very strange that it isn't mentioned anywhere. I have 4 books with Kiss gigographies and none mention Blondie. I have a table book with the concert posters, none mention Blondie either. One the flipside, I have definitely seen gigs in my town that aren't listed on a band's gigography.
YHe died of heart cancer. Only the 89th person in the world to get it at the time, most likely, from the nightclub fire at Gullivers, in 1974. He did not die in surgery. He had the tumor removed in 2/91, (showed off his scar on mtv and all the metal mags and had the best sense of humor... saying he could finally out do Tommy Lee for solos, if his heart explodes during a show) then did chemo at Sloan Kettering, the video for god gave rock n roll to you, etc. his last public appearance was the mtv music awards in 10/91, with Bruce, in LA. He went back home to NY, the next day and suffered a massive aneurysm from the heart cancer. He was in a coma till his death 11/29/91, another massive aneurysm is what killed him. His cause of death, was heart cancer.

I've seen them live only once, all 4 original members with makeup and it was one of the most incredible concerts I've attended
I always loved this KISS song. Its one of the hardest. I mean "hardest" as in it has a hard edge. Right between the eyes.
KISS "God of Thunder" 1996 live version... Song changed my life.
"Heavens On Fire" by KISS is a good one.
I also enjoy Tears Are Falling.
Kiss - Heaven's On Fire

@@kbusby4824 Mark St. John baby!!!!!
3 more KISS songs that are a must: "Heaven's on Fire", "Lick it Up" and "Domino" (their later stuff)
Mel! My brother! 🙌 Love Kiss! 💯
- Detroit Rock City 🤔
🤟❤
KISS is the best live show I've ever seen. If you get a chance to see them live don't miss it.
Thank you very much for reacting to KISS. They were my late husband's favorite band. He was definitely part of the KISS Army. Cold Gin is another good one.
Saw KISS back in 1984
The Animalize tour no doubt one of my top 10 concerts of all time
The only time I got to see KISS was for this tour which supported the "Creatures Of The Night" album. That concert at the Louisiana Superdome was straight up wild, loud and CA-RAZEE!!!!
One of their BEST Albums!
My first concert ever was Kiss!! Talk about ruining almost all future concerts. What a show they put on.✌✌✌
Jamel, you're gettin' yoself into a deep rabbit-hole with KISS!! So many more to go!
They never put on a bad show. They are incredible live. I saw them in Virginia Beach a few years ago and even in their 60’s they are awesome. Kiss fans are so friendly and fun to hang with.
seen them 4 times hands down best concerts ive ever been to and ive been to dozens of concerts
My first concert was Kiss in 1976. Destroyer tour. They opened with Detriot Rock City. It was amazing!!!
I saw them live once and it was everything you'd expect. Loud, fire, blood, makeup and tons of fun.
Seen them live several times. Best live concert I've ever seen
Welcome to the KISS ARMY 😎
If you get a chance to see them, don't miss it. You'll leave with a smile on your face, I promise!
Just saw KISS live last week, they're still putting on an incredible show
Saw them on this tour in 83, front row! Felt the heat of the flames and the cold from the dry ice fog and the loudness of the sound system!
Still have the vinyl of KISS ALIVE
Saw KISS in 79 when I was in 1st grade. then in 2000. both times original members...do some songs off Aces solo like Rip it Out or New york groove or Im in need of love...Great stuff!!...
n
I got to see the original lineup. Fantastic show. A little known female artist opened for them, and I became a fan of hers. It was Debbie Harry and Blondie.
When and where did Blondie support Kiss?
Charlotte NC. 78 or 79 if I remember right.
@@wolf762x51 I think that you have made a mistake, my friend. Blondie have never supported Kiss. Kiss were supported by Nantucket around that time.
Always Loved and Love this Song ! A True KISS Anthem ! And The Late Great Eric Carr, Was And The Backbone ! R.I.P. Eric Carr !
They were my first concert, the Dynasty Tour, 1979. I was 9 years old, I've seen them live 4 times and they never disappoint.
The Drummer was Eric Carr ("the Fox" replacing Peter Criss's "Cat-man") He Passed away during Heart Surgery in 1991. RIP.
RIP Fox.
He died from throat cancer
Yes it was cancer not heart surgery
He had cancer in his heart, not throat.
Some KISS songs to consider: Parasite, She, Rock Bottom
Yes, yes, and yes
Three of the greatest KISS tracks in the catalog!
@@ponyboy082719661 I think more folks would like KISS strictly on the musical level if they dug into some of their deep cuts from the 70s. Nothin To Lose, Deuce, 100,000 years..so many good ones.
OH YEAH 80's HARD ROCK AND HEAVY METAL IS STILL AND ALWAYS WILL BE THE BEST MUSIC. FOR ALL OF US TEENAGER'S WHO LIVED AT THAT POINT IN TIME FOREVER !!!!!!! NO DOUBT ABOUT IT.
I saw them live almost 40 years ago, and I couldnt hear for 3 days afterwards!.. Absolutely incredible show.
I was blessed to see KISS 4 times when they visited Atlanta!!
I saw them in 1995 when they reunited all the original members and put the makeup back on. They only played their early stuff. It was pretty amazing.
