This is Chris Hemsworth’s best performance ever. I always knew he was a great actor outside of Thor, but he absolutely stole the show every single time he showed up on screen! And Chris told the best description of this franchise ever on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert, he said “Americans have Star Wars, the UK has Harry Potter, and Australians have Mad Max”.
It flopped because it leaked online. Plus RUclipsrs like Critical Drinker, Tyrone Magnus, Snarky Jay and more kept discouraging people accusing it of being woke.
I don't think the leaking impact so much, maybe only 2% of the public would know how and watch a leaked movie like this. And if they do,they're wasting oxygen on this planet. 😂
@@LuizBarrosPoa Here’s the scoop on how the leak messed with “Furiosa”: 1. Money Loss: Lots of folks watched the pirated version instead of paying for tickets, hitting the box office hard. 2. Buzz Kill: The leak killed the hype and excitement for its theater release. 3. Marketing Mess: It threw off the movie’s marketing and release plans. 4. Legal Drama: Fighting the leak was costly and a huge distraction. 5. Future Problems: The bad performance could mess up Miller’s future projects and deals made between Warner and the theaters. Because of all this, they yanked it from theaters after two weeks.
Miller made a lot of backstory notes but not necessarily exact novels. I believe Max killed Scrotus before Fury Road and that is why the War Boys are tracking him at the start of that film. I read a bunch of the backstory after Fury Road. I thought this might even go back to how Immortan Joe took the citadel. But I guess that'd be too many new characters/actors and they wanted some more continuity. I liked it. Not as much as Fury Road but it's a good watch.
@@joelwillems4081 If the Mad Max game is cannon, Scrotus was the first warlord to replace Immortan Joe's brother as the leader of Gastown. He stole Max's Interceptor and Max jammed a gasoline hedge trimmer's blade into the middle of his brain, which did nothing to help his sunny disposition. Eventually, Max killed him and The People Eater replaced him as the Warlord of Gastown, which meant that between Furiosa and Fury Road, Gastown was basically poorly run. Dementus and Scrotus were both raging psychotics who were particularly bad at their jobs. Joe's brother and The People Eater were more competent.
@@Knightmare435 the game originally was official canon, when Furiosa was going to be made into an Anime, back when Fury Road first came out, so it was all part of the expanded universe, similar to what the Matrix did with the Animatrix and Matrix online, they were all interwoven, but WB didn’t want to do that, so the game’s been made ‘unofficial canon’ since, but it’s clearly still made from Miller’s original concepts… in my head, I’ve chosen to believe the fame is 100% canon! 😆
I think another thing to note about the lessened amount of practical effects is that George Miller basically stated he'll never make a movie like Fury Road again. Sitting for 6 months on location in a desert is grueling, and I think he didn't know what he was getting into on Fury Road. Let's all be happy we got Fury Road, there will effectively NEVER be another movie like it, and I think in way...that's a good thing.
One cool thing about the stowaway, that whole chase / road war sequence took 73 days to film. And before Anya stood up with her hair exposed and Jack the driver sees her, they were blending Anya’s face with the younger version actor using AI deepfake tech. Really really dope. Also speaking of making people look different, Chris Hemsworths wife played the blonde leader of the green place, who picks up furiosas mother and gives her bullets and tells her to be safe and kill everyone. She also played the scary faced hammer scar lady who is brutal and vicious in Dementus’s gang. Crazy how different they make her look
fun fact, the fast cranking technique was used since the first Mad Max back in 1979 especially in car and motorcycle chases, which made them more intense, i was blown away as a little kind when i saw the old Mad Max movies and how they were shot, still gets me to this day whenever i re watch them, they make road chases more intense and visceral
Thing I love about Dementus is that when he does really messed up stuff he gets sorta uncomfortable. Like he doesn’t really like doing the most extreme terrible stuff but knows he must be balls to the wall crazy to maintain his power. Also some people think the small cliff in the hydroponic gardens where she planted Dementus was the same cliff her and Jack used to sit and hide alone together. It does look very similar and one of the only places we’ve seen that looks anything like that, and would be very poetic.

Immortan Joe was played by Lachy Hulme who also played Rizzdale Pell, the one eyed guy who worked for Dementus. Scrotus was played by Josh Helman who played the war boy Slit in Fury Road. Furiosa’s mom is in Anyone But You, which is also set in Australia. Is Anyone But You a prequel to the Mad Max movies now?
The overly enthusiastic apprentice blackthumb “Chumbucket” who provides the peg leg car was the support NPC in the Mad Max game but was also Furiosa’s neighbor on the Treadmill Rat wheel who was initially picked to climb out onto the digger. I choose to believe that, just like the History Man, he is the only other person who recognize Praetorian Furiosa’s true identity after each spending years in captivity right next to her.
💯👍✌️
witness her 🔥🔥
Why could you not watch it at the cinema? Why do you say "I wish"?
I have a hard time believing Anya Taylor-Joy as being a tough girl.
