I am back in the Family Car Graveyard. The Ole Man and I will attempt to give this 1957 Ford Fairlane 500 Life from the Dead. She has been sitting for years! Can she hit the road for the first time in 30 years? Is a Revival Possible? Will the new ballast resistor fix the ignition issue? Will she start for the First time in 30 plus years? All these questions answered on this episode of RevStoration.
Thanks again to Eugene Back Yard Repair!

"The new belt isn't 30 years old, it's 27, and it is less petrified." Man, that's making due with what you got...A+
Found it on a 64 galaxie and installed on the 57..
@@RevStoration he needs the two beer therapy ....bud in one hand...Natty light in the other....
By the end of the 6 pack he'll be 21 again
@@clevelandmaker386 The Ole Man with beer may be too much for RUclips to handle.. Thanks for watching!
The old man looks so perfectly at home behind the wheel of this rig! He just fits the image of it. I think y'all should take a nice picture of him behind the wheel, arm on the window sill. 😜
Without a doubt... he fits the mold of this rig
Acts like a teenager driving it, maybe dress the rig up nice and he can take momma for ice cream , like a date night ?
What size motor 292 or 312 v8 or 6cycle engine
Thank God stuck
Hey Rev, you and the Ole Man having a great time driving around in the 57. Man, I was laughing watching the back tires spinning like mad! What a great time. Good to see you again. Deuces, Big Al.
We enjoyed making the content and grateful that people enjoy... These are fun to make.
'57 is my birth year so gotta love that fairlane. Gotta love that red dirt too! Ya'll just keep it down there though. Great show guys. Thanks
Thanks Dave... Lots of Georgia Red clay for sure..
U and your family are the Best..I love your videos.. keep up the Good Work!
MIke, we are honored... Thanks for watching.
Dang it the old man has some skills don't he. That is a fine old car. Glad y'all got it out of it's grave and showed it some love.
We enjoy the time working on these rigs.
Glad to see you Rev and your ole man back at it again working onthe cars
Me too Sheldon.
It's so amazing to watch you and your dad having fun together.
Thanks Yarkie
The best thing about the channel altogether is you getting to work with your dad. I wish I could get hold of a older rig and do the same with mount dad. We always have talked about it. Who knows? Lord may bless us to do just that. Take care of your Dad and never disrespect. Bible says to honor thy mother and father but unfortunately that’s not always the case in some families and it’s getting more rare all the time. Thank goodness there’s still a few left. God Bless u and your whole family Rev! ✌️
We love it for sure. Thanks for watching.
FLux core solder (house plumbing supplies) and some Map gas is a semi permanent fix for that hole. Drain it, heat it, solder it. Easy.
Brittle though... heat might eat it away
@@RevStoration Looks like a fin and tube type radiator so eliminate the leaking tube. Quickly heat the tube close to the header and pull it out (both ends) with a pair of needle nose pliers, rolling it up on the pliers jaws. Then solder the holes closed. 15 minute job. You will need liquid acid soldering flux and a flux brush to clean the holes in the top and bottom headers (use along with heat) before soldering them shut. Solder will instantly fill the holes.
I love jb weld stick but advice best way so not to stick to fingers is spit. Sounds nasty but definitely keep from sticking to hand and easier to pack in repair.
a little moisture never hurts... Thanks for watching Eugene... Hope all is well with you and yours.
@@RevStoration thanks all is well except hot here in NY too. 95 today and humid..Take care and I'll be watching for next upload
Great video Rev. So good to see the Ole Man again. I love this kind of content. All the best from Australia. That old Fairlane with the Offy has the best sound of any of the Revstoration projects!
Thanks Tim...
I about died when the old man threatened to keep your license from you. Too funny. Great video.
He had taken them before.. He probably could again.
seeing this drives me to keep going on my 1958 Edsel, cant imagine what it'll be like the day i get it rolling. Hope i get the same joy as you and the old man, thanks for sharing with us :)
You can do it!
It doesn’t have to be perfect brother. People love to see edsels and hear the story about em.
@@travwold7669 Pulled the starter motor cos it was encased in mud, gonna rebuild that, free up the engine, its got new sparks in it already, once I get that starter done its gonna be time to give it a darn good try at running
The best father and son company i have ever seen keep well and together love ur videos .👍👍👍
We have a great time together... on and off the camera.
Three on the tree...classic! The only way to drive for decades, but that car had the NEW overhead valve engine. How I miss flatheads.
Yep... sweet rides for sure.
Looks like the ole man is reliving his youth. Having fun.👍
He most certainly is having fun.
That Fairlane is "Betsy Beastie", love that car especially the way she roars.
NO doubt..
the kind of stuff that keeps a dad young and motivated this is great stuff,,
I think the Ole Man really enjoyed himself on this one..
So cool to see a father and son have fun like this...👍👍
We enjoy our time together for sure..
Hi Rev. Superb stuff yet again. I think the Ole man was really enjoying himself driving that around the yard. Question, what do you call an AMC Pacer with twin tail pipes?....... Answer, a wheelbarrow 😆😆😆🤣🤣. Love your channel and keep up the good work . Cheers Chris.
Haha love it Chris
Glad to see your Dad back in the videos again. Looks like the shop is coming along finally, hope you can get it done before winter. Stay safe and stay cool.
Me too Scott. Thanks for watching..
I am so glad see the preacher and the old man putting new video out especially with the old Ford excellent job preacher
Thanks brother.
Reeeevv! You and your Dad did a great job! She's a runner! Another old FORD revived. Love it. Thanks for sharing. God bless.
Thanks 👍
Good to see yall again take care an good luck buddys see yall soon
Thanks! You too!
Ole man had me laughing out loud driving the 57 like a teenager out of Highschool. You gotta love the ole man. The first time I drove a 3 on a tree was when my dad and I went fishing on a dirt road it was a 68 GMC pickup. Rev prayers for your mama and dad for healing continued. You’re Blessed beyond measure to have your ole man and mom around.
I agree totally... thanks for watching and commenting Eddie
You always amaze me on how creative you are in getting these cars to a "living" point, and just seeing the joy of making it work with what you got, and Ole man is priceless. Keep on going.
Roy... just hitting the road with these rigs is an accomplishment... Thanks for watching Friend.
Another great video brothers , Thank you !!
Thanks Michael.
That old '57 is my favorite!!😄
We like it too.
That's Hilarious 🤣🤣🤣 watching the Old Man Spinnin them wheels like Bo and Luke Duke Lol 😆🤣🤣🤣
He was kicking up dust for sure..
That was fun!!!!!
Thanks.... we have fun.
Hi, Rev! I'm glad to see the old man back and working and Lutheran prayers for the '57 to be up and roadworthy.
Hey, thanks
That sure was fun seeing the ole man give it the onions and spinning the tars!!! WAOO, remember you aint got no brakes!! He drives even better on the passenger seat!! Loved it Rev.
Chris.. he enjoyed it for sure.
Hey there Rev, good to see you. That’s a good lookin car, especially when it’s revving and spinning the tires!!!
Without a doubt..
That was fun! Thanks for the ride!
Glad you enjoyed it!
That was awesome video thanks for sharing. Enjoy time with your dad as much as possible. I lost mine in 04 and miss him and my mother every day. God bless you all
Brian, I am trying to enjoy our time together... thanks for watching..
Brings back a lot of good memories of my youth working on them old cars and trucks love your videos there all great thank you
Thanks Stephen.. Good times with the Ole Man.
I love the content Rev and watching you and the only man bring them old cars & trucks back .
Thanks for watching... God Bless.
Your old man cracks me up!
Crossover pipe was only used on passenger cars in 54, but was used on trucks through 64.
Didn't know that..
Thanks Hank.. he loves our time together and I enjoy the heck out of it.
Well that’s just what families all about: creating the memories by sharing the experiences !!
I wonder if the two part expoxy quick steel I know it works on engine blocks and oil pans,I wonder if that would be a better idea for the radiator, but I'd suggest having that old radiator recored, and the tanks checked for leaks and rebrazed..
Great video rev glad you posted keep them coming thanks
Thank You for watching!
There is just something about that year and model that exudes cool.
Yep. Agree. Always liked the '57 Ford. And, ironically, as I recall, Ford outsold Chevy that year. But there is no doubt the more popular of the 2 in subsequent years.
Sweet look without a doubt.
You guys are hilarious and have just too much fun! The Ole Man had to be a hotrodder back in the day. The old Ford may not be a beauty queen but she sounds good. Have fun, be safe and be blessed.
Rickey... he was and his Daddy... it is in our blood.

It took me a bit to start appreciating the channel. I love ol rigs especially fords. Here’s the thing though I’m wanting to love and appreciate Jesus even more. He seems to be drawing you to me. Men like you and the ol man are you I want in my life. Thank you and god bless
Amen brother... I pray that God continues to draw you to himself... Message me anytime friend.

Hello my friends always makes my day so much better Hi REV Nikki T Hello to your Dad God Bless always 😁😁👍👍👍👍👍
Mrs. Mary, you are the best.
if i walked into a church it would collapse been years since i have gone but if the good reverend rev was around here i would go just to hear him speak
Wow... Im honored Robert... I need to find out where you are and find a church close by to preach a revival.. Id hold ya to your word and we could have a meal afterwards.
How to make an old man feel 12 years old again! This was fun to watch. Thanks for mentioning the RevStories channel, I'll check it out. God Bless!
Thanks Steve.. Appreciate you checking the other channel out..
Reminds me of when I was 16 and helping my buddy work on an old 59 ford Anglia. We drove it with no brakes all around the country side lol
Hope the horn worked...
Had to hit the big red Sub Button. Thoroughly enjoyed this video. Always loved the '57 Fairlane body style. Now, run some Berrymans through the Carb and help get some of the crud off the valves. Get her running good and I would just preserve the paint and leave the natural patina that's built up. God bless you and it's great to have a dad like you have.
Thanks for the sub... She needs some cleaning inside and out for sure... Thanks for watching..
I really like and appreciate the both of you. God loving folks having fun together with old cars
I owned a 57, 58, Fairlane! Great cars easy to work on!
Fun rigs for sure.
Always entertaining, great fun to watch the old wheels turn again! But, please keep the humor to one liners!
Thanks Neil.
Being an old man myself it sure was good to see the old man back.
Kenny, Im honored that he is back too... the true star...
Good to see the old man back. He's the other half of your videos.
Without a doubt... fun stuff
Been a bit since I commented. But I still look forward to these videos. I just went through a very rough 4th back surgery. Fusion. These videos and the hood Lord kept me same that first week trying to heal. Thank u soo much and I hope this channel continues to grow and grow. Nice to see something on RUclips that doesn’t contain a ton of filth language and spreading the word is even better. God bless.
Thanks Matt
Don't let this one get away! It's a keeper. Wash it, Clean it up, and take care of all the stuff it needs. The cool factor is off the chart!
Amen... more to come.
I sure like that old 57.. Looks and sounds good
It does sound awesome.. power for days
Looking good to see the 57 running
This is a runner for sure.
I love the old cars, they were built solid & big. Not like the little golf carts they slap together today!!! 🇺🇸👍
Dennis, this one is a strong tank for sure.
Good to see her moving around again. Yall have so much fun.
It is fun and probably illegal to some.
Car is pretty.. Nice work. Looking forward to more.
Thanks PD
The first car I can remember was a 57 Fairlane that my dad says had a 312 Thunderbird Special, black with cream trim like that one. I’d love to have one some day.
Fun rides for sure.. This one still has some power left in it.
love 1957 Ford Fairlane she looks great,
Amen... fun car.
Come on Rev. Fords have never had a problem with stopping. It’s the going that is an issue. (Sorry, could not resist).
Haha... you got us on that one...
I love the sound of that old Ford.
Me too BMac
Not much of a Ford guy but love the style of the 57 fairlane . Great video
Glad you enjoyed it
Thanks for all of your expertise with all things automotive. As an owner of a 1965 Ford Mustang Fastback that I’ve driven for 50 years, I know it takes a lot to keep the old cars going. I wouldn’t want it any other way!! I have my dad’s St. Christopher medal that was in his plane in WW2 in the Mustang and the Lord has always looked out for my family and I. Best wishes for your channel!!
They are worth saving..
Sure would like to see it dolled up a bit as well.
throaty for sure.
Great video, reminds me of my high school days. Love the Cragars!
Thanks Leigh.
put a little solder with a torch she be fixed right up clean it sand it and just apply heat and solder good as new by the way i love what you guys do keep em coming
SPOT ON!
I had one at my house.. but not at the Ole Man's... this works for now.
I have sloped ground just like you guys, full of oak trees, and cars! I bought an electric rototiller from Home Depot ($140) and I'm tearing off my property with it which leaves plenty of fill dirt for other areas. gets rid of the weeds bushes and mosquitoes!
Nope a bad price and if it works awesome.
My buddy has a 57 Retractable, you have to man handle that car to get it to turn and brake! It’s a beautiful car and I got a work out cruising in that mo-sheen! Love the video!
Sweet ride
wow!!!!! We really love the 57 ford!!!! What a great car!!!!!!
We like it too.. Thanks for watching Grant
Awesome!!! I have a 57 Custom 300 2 door that was my uncle's car!!!
Very cool!
Good Seeing You And Your Dad Rev, Knowing You All Are Well.. God Bless!!

Really glad these are still around. Know that I've been after one ever since I rode in one in the late 60's. Hope you get her back in shape & ready for the roadway again. Sweet old ride. Great job.
I can't wait to take it for a real cruise..
@@RevStoration feel the same way about my 64' Galaxie 500. I adore your Father's Fairlane 500. That's when this country knew how to build an automobile. God bless you both for taking the time to put them back in service.

Keep working.. email me a picture or two.
OK here we go! Lovee love love the Fairlane!!!! I've got a '58 Ranchero that I need to work on.. want a '58 Fairlane to match. Great stuff! My favorite ride!!! Fairlane... yeah!

That was in 1959 i was 8 yrs old. I been around a long time. Missed you guy’s glad to see you two back together in your videos. Waiting on the next!🙏🇺🇸😊

My wife and I are kind of Fairlane fans, it my be because we own one. It's a cool car. I also like the old man's pit. The 50's had some awesome looking cars. If I lived closer, I would show up to see if you let me take a turn to drive the car. Duces!!
Richard... you can drive it.. but may need to bring a gas can... we would still be driving if I didn't forget to bring my gas can.
