Watched multiple examples on how to do it...your's was the best. As others have stated, having the decal wet allows for you to make the final fussy adjustments, if needed. Thank you.
thank you for the tutorial. i tried the dry/hinge method and royally screwed up.. had a few air bubbles and even a small crease. this method was much easier and turned out 100% perfect.
I have some large lettering that goes the entire length of the car to install and am torn between using the wet or dry method. Half the videos say wet, half say dry.
I have never done this with water/soap combo. I'm not a pro and have some fairly crooked decals on my ATV lol so, maybe the Wet Application is the way to go 🤟🇨🇦
I just did it yesterday without the heat gun and it worked perfectly...it was 85 or so degrees out which helped the peeling of the old decal as well...I just squeegeed a little bit extra and let the sun sit on it for a couple of minutes then started peeling and it worked perfectly.
@@PottersWork it destroys the adhesive i would honestly just buy a small bottle of rapidtac from amazon, i sometimes just use some water and dish soap about 60/40. tbh just using the hinge method and cleaning the service with some alcohol before hand would be a lot easier. and theres no need for a heatgun etc. just some masking tape and a decent squeegee.
I own a sign shop and this is not the way the pros do it ! We never work wet, unless you're mounting a giant 4x8 print to an acrylic sign. moisture, no matter what, reduces the longevity of the graphic. most wet installation graphics will have a 2 year lifespan compared to 5 years if done dry. ofcourse, that depends on the media used.
@@kennethross4117 There is no reason to apply a decal that small with a wet application. its going to take longer for it to adhere to the surface than if you just hinged it at the top and laid it down.

Hey! Thanks so much for the video! It helped me apply a fairly large decal onto my camper! Your method worked like a charm!
Wow! Thank you. Just bought decals for my Gladiator and was worried that I would screw up the installation. This video helped a ton!

This helped a lot. Thank you Jeff!
Great video bro! You make it look easy! Thank you!
Thanks for this. Just about to tackle my motorcycle and this is the best, quickest and most helpful video I’ve seen. Thanks again 👍
Thank you for sharing, this is the best decal-installation video
Great video. Best by far. Thanks for your help, Jeff.
I never knew you could use soapy water to install decals! I have a 36 inch I’m wanting to put on my back glass. Thank you!
Can I use this technique to apply decals to a wood panel on a pick up truck
I like the idea of using the heat gun, or in my case a hair dryer, to make sure the decal is nice and dry. Thanks.
Did the hair dryer work?
Yes.

If u don't have a heat gun. How long do u have to wait before removing the transfer paper?
Good job Jeff, Thank you.
That was a oem decal right? I'm about to install oem decals on tundra with your method
What is the solution being used ???
Nice Jeff! Is it the same process for a large decal? Would like to install a decal that is four times the size. One that is for a Tacoma Trd Pro.

This dudes good. Thank you!!
Is the heat gun step really necessary? I have a blow dryer but no way of taking it to the car lol

What kind of soap works best in the water? I’ve also heard to use windex...is that ok to use? Thanks!
never use windex
@@blastoi5e, good to know, I watched another guy on here use it, but wasn't sure

blastoi5e, thanks for the info and advice, it’s appreciated! I’ll pick up some rapidtac on amazon for sure.
@@PottersWork guy used soapy water in an empty Windex bottle👍

THAT'S EASY! I can do that. Thanks.
What just he spray? is that only water?
Awesome! The dealer wanted $300 labor to install two Tremor decals
Was that soapy water or just water that you sprayed? Thanks.
Soapy always
you made it look great and easy, good job, sound not so good.
Wait so can you just add water and soap ??
Is it water you use in the spray bottle?
Looks a bit soapy.
Thank you. God bless you.
Hey, it worked well, thanks!

Lol the directions from Toyota say apply wet
@@jeffthebodypro7897 I"m a Pro too.......do what work's best for you and not worry about what other's have to say. lol
And your video for dry installation for this application is? I would like to watch it.
I am also a sign maker and only amateurs attach stickers wet. You have to measure it first and then stick it on that spot
"How to record videos with audio...the easy way"
Lol I’m at work
Looks crooked 👀
Common sense method
Not remotely close to how a pro would do it lol. This is how an amateur would do it.
Can't hear shit
Sound was non-existent, so I didn't even make it past 10 seconds. Sad, too, since it looked like a good video otherwise.
absolute asinine way of putting on a simple decal.
Why asinine cause you didnt think of it first fucking asswipe

This is the correct method. If you want to take a shortcut, feel free. No need to be rude. This guy obviously does this at work.
@@garyjelsma8820 adding rapid tac for a small decal like that is worse than not using it at all lol. literally no reason to do it this way
