@@robertsamueljr2878 hi, yes. Wet application can also work but works better with a paper transfer tape. The transfer tape in the video is vinyl. It can work with it but may be a little harder for most people and not necessary for small decals.
I appreciate the way you packed a lot of good detail into a short and to-the-point video, and gave people the option of pausing to re-read if needed. A lot of these tutorial-type videos are unnecessarily dragged out and longer than they need to be. I think you hit the sweet spot between detail & simplicity with this one.
Thank you! I appreciate the comment. Originally it was 12 mins long. I had to do a lot of editing and speeding up to make it work. And I still feel like I missed a lot of details, but those details are more situational. People can definitely contact me directly if they need more information.
Have been in touch with this guy. Had some questions about the product before receiving it. Absolutely the best customer service! Very helpful and just the fact that he is helpful and prompt to answering questions says a lot. Hardly ever see this kind of service anymore. and this is just over decals....wish he ran Verizon ;)
Great tutorial. I purchased stickers for my car and thought I'd do a youtube search to ensure I was going to do it correctly. Saw your instructional video and glad I checked ... excellent instructions.
I just used the second method in the video to install a portion of the factory OEM striping on my Mustang fenders. The stripes have to be purchased whole and cost ~$85 each so I wanted to get it right. I had an aftermarket hood installed and the fenders were blended to match. I was on the fence about using the wet application method with soapy water but decided to do a dry install like in the video. I used masking tape and a straight edge to first install a guideline... I washed the area with water and then 70% isopropyl alcohol. Fortunately, the car has not been waxed since the paint work so that made the prep easier. I wiped the area with a microfiber/lint free cloth. Since it was ~40F, I gently heated the fender and the decal with a hair dryer then I taped it into position. I followed the instructions in the video for application and it came out perfect with no air bubbles (and level).
Thank you so much for sharing your video. I recently bought some decals with no instructions and buggered them up big time. Anyway ordered some more and got onto RUclips. I watched yours first and the beginning of others which were so complicated and straight back to you.
Thanks a bunch. I ended up completely messing up a decal using a soapy water method instructed by the product. This is much easier and less nervracking.

Great video. Very clear indeed. Thanks to you, I have installed the Tdi decals on my Land Rover 110 beautifully and with relative ease. Thanks for posting. Much appreciated.
Awesome video!!! And wow dude your comment at the end about replacing damaged decals and sincerely wanting people to be happy, is really cool. I’m still trying to decide where to put my decals
Thank you. I appreciate it. Sometimes when I'm unsure where to put a decal, I take a picture of whatever I want to put it onto and photoshop the decal onto it so I have an idea what it'll look like before I put it on. Or just use the masking tape to hold it while you look from a distance.
I've had a few people email me pictures of their decals with the transfer tape still on and I would have to tell them to peel that off lol. I've seen it on cars on the road and I want to just run out there and peel it off for them.
I applied a retro decal to my Mopar and screwed it up. Then when it went into the wash bay, part of it tore off. So, i ordered another set and figured i'd take more caution this time around. This video is exactly what i needed.
Thank you for this! I ruined the first decal I bought for my car while trying to install it. Luckily, the seller I bought it from sent me another just for shipping price. I used this method and it looks AHHHMAZING. I was so scared of messing another one up lol
The best goo remover I have found is your local store brand alcohol based hand-sanitizer (essentially, isopropyl alcohol), but for some reason hand-sanitizer seems to work better than plain isopropyl alcohol. The hand sanitizer also works GREAT on old-never-going-to-be-rubbed-off white board ink on your whiteboard. It works like magic!
That's interesting. I haven't tried hand sanitizer to remove residue before. Thank you for the information. I will give it a try the next time the situation arises to test out.
Watched your video couple times worked like a charm. Ty. You were right have done air bubbles . Hopefully they go away like u said. But excellent directions!!!!👍🏽👍🏽💯💯
Small ones will usually go away. Big ones, big being a quarter inch or bigger, can be popped with a needle. Just poke a small hole in the side and push down into it so it doesn't crease. Hope this helps!
You're welcome! A warmer day is still better than a cooler day. Any extreme in either direction is bad though. I would try to stick with a warm day around 75-85 degrees if possible. Don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. Thank you!
