hello, so i’ve been receiving a lot of questions lately that have already been answered in the description box! but i’ve decided to put them here for easier visibility. if you have any unanswered questions, i’ll do my best to answer it and edit this comment! please don’t forget to like and subscribe if you enjoyed this video ^o^ -- laptop faq how much did it cost? -about $1570nzd, tax included can you send me the link to this laptop? -i purchased it in person in a local tech store sorry! does it come with the stylus? -yes it does! how is the battery life? -pretty good for general work (i used it for 3 hours and it used about 50%), but for gaming i recommend keeping it plugged in can it run games? -yes it can! can it flip the entire way? -yes, so you can use it like a tablet how many GB is this? -512GB is the camera good? -not really, i’d recommend getting a webcam if good camera quality is necessary for you is it good for XYZ software/programme? -i can’t be too sure since i only use it for light work such as writing documents & a bit of HTML/java coding. but it does work for some general drawing or designing that doesn’t require too many graphics how is the sound quality? -it’s alright but it’s not very loud so headphones may be necessary in order to hear better (i use an online extension to listen to my lecture recordings better) how is the screen quality? -it’s pretty good (1080p) and quite bright (it can also be adjusted further with the Radeon settings) but it might not be the right laptop for you if you’re super particular about screen display
i actually got an asus gaming laptop handed down to me from my uncle back in august, it's a 2017 model and it's a bit heavy but oh man does it work well. i've taken it with me on small trips i've taken out of town since then. it's black and red (since it's a gaming laptop), so not the most aesthetic looking but it's miles better than my clunky old PC i had before.
@Its Shünmi macs are amazing, I definitely used to judge them, because I thought they were overpriced, but my aunt made me stop thinking so, cause her mac laptop lasted for 11 years, she's dropped it multiple times over those years, and it never have any issues except for some damaged lines of pixels on the screen (cause she dropped it) Then she got an iMac and the quality of that desktop, is so overwhelming, the cheapest option is just beautiful, macs really excel at quality and how long they last. I've seen laptops and desktops bought after my aunt bought hers that stopped working or stopped working properly before hers did That doesn't change the fact that they're very expensive and not for everyone though, it's an investment, that not everyone, should or needs to make, but it is a very good brand.
Its also really good to hear from everyday users because those top tech RUclipsrs nitpick because their standards are on high tier coming from laptops that cost a high amount of money and the average user really wont need or wont care about the issues they put on the table.
@@vidataghian2623 I thought that as well until I watched more and more and it helped me realize that most laptops people are getting this year, are not a bang for their buc, and rather just because others are using it, it’s aesthetically pleasing and they watched these types of videos. Luckily this is an actual laptop that does work amazingly and the price you pay is amazing for this sort of system
@@garimaanath um tbh they're both pretty medium :> i mean my callers never complaint about the mic's quality, but its not amaizing too. also the image on the camera is a pretty grainy, especially in light hope this helps :3 pro tip: if you plan on making notes on your flip make sure to download wacom notes, it's pretty versatile, and free!

I kind of wish i was able to get this laptop instead of my acer chromebook, but it was too expensive for me, I'm still grateful for it though, it has helped me a lot for online school and I use it everyday. Maybe in the future I can get this laptop, thank you for this unboxing :)

I remember that feeling of happiness when unboxing my Asus Zenbook, after that everything was hell. It failed within a year and Asus didn't help me fix the problem, they made it worse actually. A year and a half later, I have a $ 2,000 paperweight. Congratulations on your new laptop.
@@jessinq702 I don't know yet and Asus tech support didn't explain it to me. They just told me that the motherboard failed and the replacement would cost 80% of the original price. The whole process for the diagnosis was a nightmare.
@@luisborruel3926 Did you have a 3 year warranty on it? I believe Anus does have those of I'm not mistaken. Also, sometimes a computer is just faulty but is at working condition at the time it was made. The hinges on my old laptop were like that. They both went in under a year from when I first got it. Motherboards could be a similar issue, as they are so complicated.
@@jessinq702 They told me I was out of warranty (one year after getting my laptop). I take good care of my computer, obviously it cost me a lot. So it is difficult for something internal to happen, the defect already came from the factory and Asus did not want to be responsible. They took advantage of the fact that it was out of warranty.

Many people buy macbooks due to aesthetic, and apple's marketing to students is so strong. Many of my friends just buy macbook because they saw the ads or see everyone else in class using it. Also, its ex price made them think its better quality. They don't know much about laptops, ram, etc. So they just buy macbooks out of convenience.
This is so practical! I'm still using my 9 year old Samsung laptop! And still working so fine and smooth. I can still play genshin in my laptop tho haha. But I hope I get a new one soon🥺💜
i also had a samsung laptop it been 9 yrs too..but now it give up..and as now i join bs degree so need a new laptop like this asus one so can continue with my studies😅😅

@@tang3151 dell laptops are great! theyre not the best aesthetic or builds wise, but the processors on newer ones (last 3yrs) are decent enough for basic everyday use and light gaming. i've had the same dell for 6yrs now and its only now needing to be replaced

@@laksamana3243 i do recomend it. the battery last while using for like 4-5 hours. and yeah I have this for like 6-7 months and I already changed my screen. but it happened because of me ig? and no I don't regret buying it. the features are good. it's fun. but again you should ask someone who knows about these things better cause it's been only a few months for me. hope it helped :)

I’m not really smart when it comes to technology but does the screen look good at different angles? I have a Surface Pro 4 and I like how the screen doesn’t have that cheap look when I’m tilting it. I’ve been trying to find a nice laptop (that’s not apple) that has a good screen.
Same lap top ♡♡♡ ive been using it since november 2020 and it works very well gaming is good like sims4 and osrs also works well with adobe apps autocad sketchup layout photoshop illustrator indesign lightroom everythings perfect so far ... also battery is very good and it is very quiet lap top but only problem is using it at daylight like sun it can be hard to see things i love how easily i can check bugs and slso i love its touchscreen it is very lightweight ... i love it so much ♡♡♡

how's the hinge holding up? a lot of 2 in 1 laptops tend to have bad hinge mechanisms that could potentially pop out the front of the screen, do you see the hinge potentially doing that as youre using it? thank you!

how's the hinge holding up? a lot of 2 in 1 laptops tend to have bad hinge mechanisms that could potentially pop out the front of the screen, do you see the hinge potentially doing that as youre using it? thank you!

ahh sorry i bought it at a new zealand store that isn’t very well known & my cousin helped me pick it out since he’s good with technology so i’m not too sure what the specs are >.< but you can try search up “asus vivobook flip 14” and see if the specs come up!
