I'm currently waiting for a paycheck to come that should have hit my bank hours ago. The anxiety this causes is intense and one of the main reasons I'm working so hard to get my Emergency Fund. I know once I have that safety cushion, the anxiety when a paycheck is late by a day or more won't be so intense. Then after I have my first emergency fund, I'll work extra hard towards one month ahead on every single bill! Thank you for being so inspiring and giving a positive outlook on getting through some tough times.
Yes- I feel this comment to my core. I know exactly what you are saying. Use your fear in a positive way to keep you driven to meet these goals. You will do it! 🙌

I really enjoyed your strategy! It was basically people/family friendly! Thank you sooooo much 😊 Bless You! 10% to the Lord biweekly, helps for us too. He, God the Father, gets paid first out of our checks. We have zero debt we only have utilities and car insurance. But, still, I'm going to share your budget idea with my son' and daughter's families.
I am so happy that you find the video helpful and easy to understand. That’s awesome! I’m so glad to have you here and I hope your kids like the videos, too! Thank you for sharing them ! 💛🐝
I'll be happy to do the No Spend with you! I was showing a neighbor my cash planning sheet (trying to help them get started with cash stuffing) and explaining how it helps to know where the money is going and doing its job. Their 6year old daughter said it sounds like a "chore chart for cash"- smart kid 😂
I already do this but I like to watch to see if there's something I could approve on. The only thing I do differently is each paycheck (I get paid weekly), I pay a different bill. My first check I pay my phone (into savings since I use Mint and prepay), 2nd is renters insurance and Internet, third is electric, fourth is car insurance. I do split my rent into each week. Student loans are split too. I am so tired of student loans. I am ahead one month on two bills and I'm working on getting a month ahead on all of them (except renters insurance and Internet -theuwon't let me get ahead).
Last week I did the delete payment info and saved a lot. This week I am rounding up budget numbers, my electric went up $25. I also will complete the no spend challenge as well.
Great advice to young Jen! We have had a cash budget for our whole marriage and always had enough for bills but the overspending is crazy. We should have at least double the savings we have. Cash stuffing will be a game changer for us.
Jenn, I admire how you have created such an organized look to all your binders! When I see them all together, it's like such a breath of fresh air! I want to be organized like you, Jenn. Do you sell your binders and envelopes in your shop?
Hey there! Thank you for the compliment but remember- it always looks perfect on YT. It’s really a lot of confusion that I’ve learned to control. Make sure to always give yourself grace. 💛 The binders and some dashboards are in the shop. I want to add some like mine - the same style. I’ve had some requests.
She has been discussing her channel and possibly making some videos. Nothing is set in stone yet but it’s on her mind. April is more introverted and quiet than I. Doing videos can get overwhelming for her but she does enjoy it. 💛
Awesome video! So many You Tube budget channels have gone to only saving challenges. You teach and show how to break down income. thank you so much for being a great teacher!
A new video you made my day Jen!! I love watching your videos. You explain everything in detail. You’ve have made this easier for me. Any time I have questions I’ve been able to go back and rewatch a video or two. They truly help. Thank you so much.
I take the monthly total for each bill and times that by 12 then divide that amount by 52 to get the weekly amount because some months have more than 4 weeks.
I'm so glad you explained it that way because I've been having such a hard time starting my budget and figuring out how to start my envelope system and things like that. And especially the gas one because I have certain people that will literally ask me for rides and then either or never offer or gas or they tell me they're going to pay gas money and they never do. So this month is my boundary month of saying no unless you have gas money up front and I'm going to give them a certain amount because some people think $5 will take them all over the city and it doesn't.
You are so right. And you have to protect your money. No one else will. Just be honest and say- I am saving money and I can’t afford it. And that’s it!
Thank you for the video! I’m just starting out on my budgeting and cash stuffing, but I’m excited to work toward my goal of becoming debt free. This made me feel confident that I can do it! Thank you!
I am doing the No Spend Challenge with you. I have started eating low cholesterol. My new groceries budget will be different challenge will help me save .
This was such a great video-I am not even a beginner and learned so much! Where can I find those nice clear envelopes that are open at the top and the cute binders with the rose gold? Thanks so much for all your great videos-you have made great progress!

❤Thank you Jenn. This has been the best Beginner Budget and Cash Stuffing episode. It really helped my understanding of the process from the very beginning to the cash stuffing portion. You are good at what you do. Has the Today show or Good Morning America not called you yet!!! 😊
You’ll want to do a budget so you know how much money you have for bills first and then your spending. Watch this video to get your $ organized : ruclips.net/video/orF4rRKnQ10/видео.htmlsi=03kd0T7ZavZRENn3
Thank you Jenn for this video and for the advice from your 30 year old self 🤗 I needed that 🙏🏾 I am going to join you in your 1 week no spend challenge. Wish me the best 🙏🏾 will come back to update you I love all your envelopes categories and binders Keep it up with the motivation 🎊🎉 God Bless you 🙏🏾💕 38:21
New to this. Thanks for the video. Am I supposed to budget for every expense, ex school pics? I currently have an envelope for every expense for the year. But my husband's checks are bigger than mine so my cash isn't enough for all of the necessary kind. How do I handle that?
You could start a sinking fund for school that you contribute to every month to cover school pictures, book fairs, field trips etc. there is always something for school expenses it’s crazy
You have to decide what categories are important to you and your family- and then prioritize them. Once you pay your bills- take your amount that you have left and disperse it however you feel is beneficial. I’m not sure if you do a budget- but that is step 1. And I’m not sure what is trying to be conveyed with your husband’s checks being more than yours and you don’t have enough to cover things but you and your husband need to be on the same page. Agreement on where your money goes is non negotiable. If you aren’t working together, the changes aren’t going to happen. My advice- get with your husband, have a sit down, combine your money and do a budget. 💛💛💛
@2SisterBees Sorry, I should have clarified. We have a budget in place and we pool our money together. He gets paid every other Friday. I get paid the fridays opposite of him. He makes more so his check just goes further. We use the calendar and pay bills, appointments etc, variable expenses and then to the necessity envelopes. Say I have the math figured out at 52 weeks at x dollars to make the goal amount on time. If my check doesn't have enough to cover all the envelopes that week, how do you stay on track for the goal amount? Besides doubling the envelope, the next stuffing? When I budget the yearly income and all expenses for the year, the math works and we should have plenty money left for savings. When I stuff the math doesn't work. What am I doing wrong?
I am just new to your channel but I am starting on a debt repayment journey and trying to pay off our Property taxes by the end of next year. Half of which is due in March so I'm really on a crunch. So most of my extra money is going in the binders in our home envelope until I get ahead of it. Thank you for the guidance. I'm doing a no spend August.
Oh good- the no spend will definitely help. Doing that got me in a completely different position. Have you seen Rachel Cruz’s 14 day Money Finder yet? If not, check this out: www.ramseysolutions.com/saving/moneyfinder
@@2SisterBees I'm happy to announce that I have now been able to save almost the entire $682 that I needed to save for my no spend. I have a total of $610 saved so I only need $72 now for that
QUESTION??? Starting step 2 now. Do I have to be a month ahead in my checking account for autodeducted bills (mortgage, electric, phone, etc) in order to save in envelopes for the following month? Then do you deposit your envelopes for those at the end of the month to re-fund for the next month? I'm getting hung up on getting the money into the accounts in time for them to be deducted since they are scattered throughout the month. OR, do I just not withdrawal that amount of money and leave it in the checking instead of doing envelopes?
This is a great question. I do not cash stuff bills for this reason. It can get confusing and I feel like I would be running to the bank to withdraw for stuffing envelopes and then again to deposit it back each pay. Seems very tedious to me. If you want to cash stuff bills, I personally would recommend being a month ahead to eliminate bank runs and confusion. If you want to - you can use prop money in your envelopes to signify your cash in the bank. That is a good visual way to keep yourself on track. I wonder if this video would help : ruclips.net/video/F5ZWcBN-wss/видео.htmlsi=MPgDUwbziMIGsx2_ I am actually screenshotting your comment and I will work on an answer for you to put in a video. Stay tuned! 🙌
Yes - it is in a high yield savings account. I have a separate tracker in my budget binder where I keep track of the amount and what it’s for. Great question! 💛
I just went my budget and decided to stop paying door dash. So now I will be saving $10 a month just stoping it. Went is going towards my Emergency Fund.
❤ Good Morning, Jenn. ❤ Good video! Thank you! ** Question: Did you mean to add a link to a video about No Spend? If so, will you please include the link? Thanks.
Yes- I would. I follow Dave Ramsey’s baby steps. Step 1- 1000 emergency fund Step 2 - pay off all debt ( except house) Step 3: save 3- 6 months of expenses I would put sinking funds in step 3. Once your debt is paid off, the money is all back to your pocket and it’s amazing how different your life is. Not owing any banks - has changed everything and given us true freedom. 💛
What about if you are just starting out and your bills are due on a certain date. For example, my rent is due on the 1st, the 4th at the latest but I get paid on the 10th and 25th of each month. I've been trying to do half of rent out of every paycheck, but it never works. I bring home about $1600 every paycheck and my rent is $1020. I just started budgeting, and this upcoming paycheck will be my first, but I have to pay my entire rent out of this one. How do I get ahead and pay on time????
Hi there. I get paid 2x a month as well. I use the last paycheck to pay the rent on the first of the month. I use the other paycheck to pay everything else.
Yes- Amazon has them. www.amazon.com/Planner-Notebook-Transparent-Refillable-Protector/dp/B08Y6C4FT3/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?crid=28B99MPD0PTJ&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.mbQ8qRLKIRU9XO5ypYQRDDP3ok3ViYZo3SwPC8OfLMuaKnXMrA_EedZ540kjlH8V5kBhJtNYAdYxoBL0nUAuMPIl_iToQlIJmNxQ5HXacQu4pGcga3nKnPf96ANu1B_GiO0wbol8gdMgg18Flomw3-RYBxlrAx0Keo-bwIvNo0mx8he-FFS-tISrFjXhuGfjHBGfrB6cJTrbj6QIMGmriw.FIGku9aFPJPjpdNmVIhrDHhjiK3iHtEhG3yQqDD9dp4&dib_tag=se&keywords=gold+clear+a6+binder&qid=1721238187&sprefix=gold+clear+a6+b%2Caps%2C113&sr=8-1
It’s really all about the budget. I have to just make a decision on each category that makes sense. Some are basic math - like car insurance. I know I need X amount by a certain date. I divide the total amount by the goal date. For things that aren’t a specific amount by a certain date- I have to just choose an amount and see how it goes. Sometimes I may be short, other times I may be over. It’s better than not having anything saved. You will get better with your needed amounts as you go. 💛
Love to hear that! I am actually getting ready to post another step by step budgeting video that may help. Hit your notification bell so you see when it goes live- should be within the hour 💛💛
How do I figure out my budget if I have certain bills coming out from one check and some on the other. So basically, I can't split my check biweekly in essence? Help
You just reminded me of how I budgeted when I was younger. I think I should show it on the channel because it probably would be better way for you. I had a list of bills with their due date on a word document. I had to space the due dates out to make sure my checks could cover them each week. Ex: my car payment and my house payment couldn’t come from the same check because I didn’t make enough to cover both. You can call any bill ( car, house, utility ) and change due dates to fit your pay periods. I will do an overview on this other way to budget soon. Stay tuned!

@@2SisterBees I have not but I will check it out
@@2SisterBees I'm happy to announce that I have now been able to save almost the entire $682 that I needed to save for my no spend.
I wonder if this video would help : ruclips.net/video/F5ZWcBN-wss/видео.htmlsi=MPgDUwbziMIGsx2_
I am actually screenshotting your comment and I will work on an answer for you to put in a video. Stay tuned! 🙌
Newbie here :) When you say you have money in the bank for like car insurance. How do you make sure you don’t spend it? Is it in a savings?
Yes - it is in a high yield savings account. I have a separate tracker in my budget binder where I keep track of the amount and what it’s for.
Great question! 💛
Love your videos and how you break it down in easy terms. Do you like the zipper less envelopes better? Does the money fall out?
They are better as far as slimmer - but yes, the money can slide out. I will probably still use both kinds.
I just notice I see a lot of people that do find budget videos use those instead
Great video... thanks so much!
Love your wallet. Where did you get it?
I actually just purchased these in bulk and I have them in the Etsy shop:

I just went my budget and decided to stop paying door dash. So now I will be saving $10 a month just stoping it. Went is going towards my Emergency Fund.
Exactly- there’s ALWAYS somewhere ! I’m proud of you! 💛
❤ Good Morning, Jenn. ❤ Good video! Thank you!
** Question: Did you mean to add a link to a video about No Spend? If so, will you please include the link? Thanks.
Thanks so much! 🤩
Would you pay off debt first then create sinking funds
Yes- I would. I follow Dave Ramsey’s baby steps.
Step 1- 1000 emergency fund
Step 2 - pay off all debt ( except house)
Step 3: save 3- 6 months of expenses
I would put sinking funds in step 3.
I used your question in today’s video! 💛👏

Hi there. I get paid 2x a month as well. I use the last paycheck to pay the rent on the first of the month. I use the other paycheck to pay everything else.
Hi ty for sharing your blessings big hugs from Coco 🌼

How do you come up with all the different amounts you stuff each week?
It’s really all about the budget.
I have to just make a decision on each category that makes sense. Some are basic math - like car insurance. I know I need X amount by a certain date. I divide the total amount by the goal date.
For things that aren’t a specific amount by a certain date- I have to just choose an amount and see how it goes.
Sometimes I may be short, other times I may be over. It’s better than not having anything saved. You will get better with your needed amounts as you go. 💛
Oh my goodness THANK YOU! You’ve totally made this system palatable. New sub!
Love to hear that! I am actually getting ready to post another step by step budgeting video that may help.

Stay tuned!
Thank you in the meantime i will look at your other videos@@2SisterBees
