      Ozette is a terrific location for hikes. You can take his hike out to the ocean, 3 miles, then hike north on the beach 3 more miles to locate a trail head that will take you back 3 more miles to where you started. Or you can hike his to the beach, then 15 miles south on the beach to Riato Beach near LaPush. Did this many years ago with a troupe of Scouts. You have to time your hike against the tides, or you can get trapped on the beach at few points at high tide. (Trapped = drowned.)

    A lot of miles on your travel. But I'm sure you both would say it was well worth it. The stunning sites and sounds proved it - fantastic!

    Teresa had me worried at beginning with taking her Pic on the cliff. Ya right before you commented on still burning I was looking at the smoke from campfire down from you and was just going to comment . That drift wood makes great bow and drill fire spindles and boards . Great shore for foraging what's so what latest the on camper

    • @TomsBackwoods
      @TomsBackwoods  8 лет назад

      Ya she got pretty close! I was told There is a grey area I guess on having campfire on the beach but not in the woods. Although I never read that on any sign. Not much on the camper. I have installed an extra battery and converted to L.E.D. Lights. A converter is next on my list. I can run a hole weekend on batteries alone. It just takes alot more fuel to pull around than just sleeping in my Subaru...lol

      Ya mine gets 8.7 mpg when towing camper cost $300 in gas the 1400 miles to and from Myrtle Beach fortunately gas prices were lower down there and this summer in general
