My sister has lived up there for about 20+ years. I've been able to visit a few times. Such a beautiful area, with so much to do!
That is awesome, I would love to spend more time there!
This is one of the top national parks I want to visit! It looks so beautiful and unique! I’m not a Twilight fan but I would probably stop in Forks just for the experience. 😝 I’m also Team Gollum!! 🤣
haha love team gollum!
Olympic national park is my favorite national park in Washington. So much to see from Rainforests, mountains, and the amazing coastline. Hurricane Ridge is such an incredible place to visit if you ever get the chance. Was there in a clear day last year and we saw up toward Victoria in Canada and up Vancouver island. We clearly saw Mount Baker, and then farther north into the Canadian Cascades around Vancouver.
I loved the video. The rainforest and waterfalls were so amazing.the voice narrative and the duo’s chemistry makes it so relatable. I am impressed by the range of locations -they don’t just cover one geographic area of the US which is unique… look forward to more.
🏔 🍁 🌊
We just got back from Olympic after 3 full days and it’s now in my top 5 National Parks. We head to Mt. Rainer in two days for two days. Really enjoy your videos…keep them coming.
So awesome, it made my top 10 at the moment, such a cool spot
GORGE US! ❤ I wish when I was in school they had movies like yours. I learn more from your videos than school movies ever taught me.
Glad you like them! Very kind of you to say that!
Olympic National Park has been on my list for a while. So happy to have another video of yours to reference when planning my trip! Josh and Pops forever!
I hope you enjoy it, I wish I would have had more time there!
Good stuff. All of your well documented travels (with your dad no less) inspire me to reevaluate how I choose to spend the limited amount of time I have left on this earth. Well done my friend, very well done.
one of the best diverse national park ever. Such a great park, hurricane ridge is epic too. Huge, and the two national park lodge by the two lakes are worth the stay. HOH rainforest is unreal I have to say, to see it so far NORTH and that tree of life is such an amazing thing.
I agree, it is so diverse and so many amazing adventures you can have there
As a Pops myself I must say your Pops is cool and I am so glad you take these trips with him and include him in your videos. Great family memories !
One my favorite videos of yours and all of them are wonderful. Love it when your dad is with you. 👍 Thumbs up for the dad joke about the gorgeous gorge 😂 Thanks for sharing your adventures with us
Thanks so much for watching it and I am glad you enjoy it! Appreciate the comment about it being a favorite of yours too!
Right on! I just did this trip for 4 days a month ago, perfect park for solo female travelers - Mt Storm King and Marymere Falls on a picture perfect day, the lavender festival in Sequim, Quinault Lake was the best part to stay with the rainforest hike and Salmon House restaurant was delicious, and best time for Ruby beach was sunset after a 4pm entry to Hoh (less people and prime golden hour in the moss!). The Lovers Lane to Sol Duc loop (5ish miles) was like walking through a fairy forest too
Wow sounds so amazing! Now I want to go back to see some of these things!
Lucky I'm from Port Angeles we live in Paradise.
I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoy your channel. I usually watch you casting to my TV so it is not easy to comment. It is awesome to have the father and son videos to always have forever.
Thank you so much 😊 Really appreciate you taking the time to comment!
My son and I came back yesterday from our two weeks Roadtrip. We visited the Olympic Parc and it was special to be at places I saw here before. The rainforest, Lake Quinault, the Sprüche tree, tree of Life, Ruby Beach at a clear day😊. Sol duc waterfall, Lake Crescent and a day later Hurricane Ridge.
We are from Germany and it was an impressive trip
Love your videos! They are so great! Keep up the awesome work.
Love the Olympic National park. Love the waterfall. Thank you for taking us on your day, Josh and Pops
Beautiful, Josh and Pops!! I haven't made it out West yet from Michigan, but I've been tearing through the East over the past three years. Olympic is at the top of my list though, along with Mount Ranier 😁 Thanks for everything you guys do to show us the US!
I love Olympic and Mt Rainier so much, both are top 10 for me
Always good to see pops and enjoy when you guys explore and enjoy all destinations! 😊
Thanks! 😃 We had a blast
Another great video! Well edited and nice use of the map!!!
Fantastic. I’m hoping my physical injuries improve to the point I can visit and complete the trails. Just beautiful.
Thank you friend. I was there in March of 2023 but did not have the time to check out the extended tours as portrayed in your video. I plan to be back next year. Please keep up the awesome V-logs.
Personally I think it’s so awesome that you included your dad in your V-logs.
Thanks so much for the comment and I am glad you like the videos. I love having my dad along for the ride!
Aloha from Honolulu, my boyfriend and I are heading off to WA State in mid September, 2023, and hiking all three National Parks in the state: Mt. Rainer, Olympic, and North Cascades. I'll search for you other videos for these Parks as well. Thank you for another awesome video that you and your Pops do on hiking National Parks!
My family is planning a trip for this park. We plan on being there during the Spring months. This video was great for planning. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for doing this park - we are heading there in a week - Your video helped us plan our time there. Please continue to post - we love them!
I’m with Pops! Team Gollum 🎉
Missed Sol Duc Falls, looks like a return trip is needed 💁🏼♂️
Team gollum for sure haha. Yea Sol Duc was so impressive!
One of my favorite parks. The sol duc falls is amazing you don’t want to leave. So glad I got a post catd of it and a book for memories.
It is such an amazing waterfall!
Olympic National Park is such a magical place ❤ Three parks in one, it's a dream 😊 Thanks Josh!
Super thoughtful of you to mention the ADA accessibility.
I'm going to this park next month. Thanks for the helpful and scenic video!
Olympic is one of my all time favorite national parks (Ive only been to about half though).
The diversity is what sells it for me.
My best friend, Great... We liked and enjoyed to the end. Thanks Have a happy day!
Wonderful video! I was lucky enough to visit back in May and it was one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited.
It’s giving twilight vibes and I’m here for it! Hope to visit at some point in my life, thanks for all your travel videos, they are inspiring and I love watching them!
We loved our week in Olympic. There is SO much to do and it's so beautiful. We were happy to see that you stopped at Sully's! Their milkshakes made us repeat customers.
Welcome back Josh - watching your videos is like having friend taking me on a trip ... I even missed you a little!!!
Aww, you are too kind! I missed posting as well. Such a fun community!
Heck yeah the beach combing museum!!!
I was there 3 weeks ago, had 48hrs to explore. Since I knew the HOH rainforest was extremely popular, I headed there first thing, was at the park around eight thirty, and didn't have to wait in line but parking was already pretty much full. I did the hall of mosses and 4 miles of the hoh River trail which has off shoots to the actual river where we spend some time getting our feet cold in the water 😂. Had a picnic and really took our time to enjoy it all. And then after that on our drive back we did Forks (mandatory for Twilight fans), and second beach...I can't recommend second beach enough!! It's was breathtaking! The second day also left our rental super early and headed to Hurricane ridge, we got there at 8am and we had to wait for 30 minutes to get it, but so worth it! The drive up and the views and hikes up there are so beautiful, then we did crescent lake where we had our picnic lunch, then hiked to Merymere falls, then drove to Sul Doc Falls and did that trail, then Madison Falls to end our stay at Olympic National Park... you are correct that the park is massive and the drives from place to place are long, but 100% worth it. You just have to be willing to wake up early and to drive a lot 😁. I loved it so so so much, such a beautiful and unique park, it was enchanting
Awesome! We were there just a couple of weeks ago. Loved to see it again through your lens! ❤
What was your favorite spot there?
@@ThroughMyLens probably the tide pools at Hole in the Wall, short hike from Rialto Beach. Having just done Fern Canyon and the Redwoods we were a little underwhelmed by the Hall of Mosses. Also like the short hike to Devil’s Punchbowl on Lake Crescent.
Another great video! I’ve been able to visit the park a few tunes, but you highlighted places I’ve never seen yet! Makes me want to get out and explore. That tree of life was cool.
I am definitely adding this to the list of TO DOs. This was an excellent video. 👏 🌊🌲🌴
It is such an incredible park and well worth the visit!
So beautiful! Some of those waterfalls look like you're on the road to Hana or something!
I went to Olympic a few years ago before the pandemic. Didn’t have the best time cause it was raining very hard on our one day visit to the Hurricane Ridge and the Hoh Rainforest making it hard to hike and see the landscape around us. I’m glad you had a great experience and better than mine and I hope to explore more in the future. Keep up the great work Josh and I can’t wait for more “GORGEous” videos! 😂
Bummer! Yea, I was worried about the weather but we for sure got lucky with the sunny day
Gotta embrace the rain…it is a rainforest…
Breathtaking - thank you for posting.
I went there several years ago in September and there was not many people there when I was there and it was a bit cloudy. You had beautiful weather and I don't remember seeing the places you went to except I did go to the Hoh Rain Forest! I also went up into the mountains and then over to the coastline. The rocks and driftwood are very impressive!
So glad you got to visit as well! I agree, we got really lucky with the weather, it was stunning!
Out of ALL You Tubers, yours is our favorite for my husband and I !
Wow, thank you!
I just wanted to say thanks for making this video! We just got back from Washington and used your same itinerary spread out over two days and it was perfect! We even took our son, Sully to his namesake burger stop! Thanks for the great video!
I've always wanted to go here. Thanks for taking us along on another beautiful adventure!
Beautiful place, thanks for taking me with you.
Great video as always, and cool to highlight some lesser-known spots in ONP. We stayed at Lake Quinault Lodge last year when road-tripping through the PNW (over from the UK) and loved the Quinault area and Kalaloch beach/tree of life. ONP is so much more than Hoh, Hurricane Ridge and Sol Duc and I think you've captured that really well here.
Beautiful. We were just there last summer to shoot content for a video as well. So much diversity in one place. Definitely a must visit!
That “pictures and videos will never do it justice” is so true. I live in Washington State and have the Olympic rain forest ‘in my back yard’. But, there is no way to explain it much like the Grand Canyon. No photo can explain its vastness. No camera can capture the incredible shades of green and textures on WA State’s temperate rain forest. Here’s a small clue… when the moss dampers .. muffles… sound, there’s a LOT of it.
Man I can't wait to return to the Great NW. WE absolutely love Olympic--all of it. Each part could be its own park! Thanks for taking us along on your trip. You brought back memories and inspired "The Plan" we have in rough draft form.
We had planned to visit here on our trip through the PNW a couple weeks ago but ran out of time. We are planning a follow up trip and are using this video as a guide for what to do with a limited amount of time. My wife is definitely stopping in Forks. Thanks for another great video!
It is not as easy to get to for sure. Hopefully you can check it out on another trip and any time in the PNW is worth it!
@@ThroughMyLens yeah it was an ambitious plan but realized it wasn’t possible as we got into the actual trip. I did want you to know a lot of our stops on this trip were from your videos and website. Thank you!
Absolutely magnificent! What a place. I had the honor of visiting, and would love to get back.
Beautiful video and Pop's joke was great 😂. Have you ever explored Lake Cushman and Staircase? Lake Cushman is near the Staircase entrance to the Olympic National Park. It's one of my favorite lakes in Washington. It's cold, but so clear and beautiful! It's a popular area in the spring and summer.
@carrottomato Hahaha with a handle like that, I am sure you appreciate my silly humor! Thanks for the recommendation.
Thumbs up for Pop’s dad joke.
haha glad you liked it
I liked Pop's comments that it was Gorgeous.
haha glad you liked it!
Oh my goodness, that was fantastic, thanks for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I love your channel I feel like I’m traveling with you both! I love your dad too he’s so full of history ❤
Lake Quinault has some of the best sunrises and sunsets in the world.
Definitely adding to my Bucket List ❤
You should! It's beautiful
Like, like, like!!!! Never a dislike. Love your dad! 🥰
@maribelc1793 Thank you for the kind words!
I miss the PNW so much. It really is other worldly, like a fairy is going to wiz past your head as you pass under the moss and foliage. Just magical.
The waterfalls and the gorge are GORGEOUS! Thumbs UP!
It looks like Pops is a closeted Team Edward fan. It's OK, Pops! We all have our thing
😂😂😂
ATF_Ca Is Edward Hufflepuff or Griffindor?
Gave Me Some Great Ideas While im Here
Pops: "The Gorge is Gorgeous........Thank you. Thank you very much. I'll be here all week. You are a wonderful crowd!! Thank you."
@IMJAFO2 Please tip the waiter on your way out! Hahaha
😂😂😂
Team Gollum haha I love your Dad! Great video, one of the best PNW travel videos I’ve watched.
Loved the video. We're in the area right now, so we might go see some places we missed, thanks to your video.
ONP is stunning!! Can’t wait to go back🩵
Can't imagine what it would feel like standing in front of a thousand year old tree. So awesome thank for sharing.
I too thought the gorge was gorgeous !!!
It's so beautiful!
A great lesson from my first visit too: lots of driving so plan to spend a night or two in Port Angeles or the other end. Otherworldly is the perfect descriptor. Great job and to pop too for the dad jokes!
Love your videos. Always get a great advice or useful tip. Thank u
“Like” even before I watch it
Definitely recommend going up to hurricane ridge, especially for sunrise!!
The views in this video are amazing but I REALLY appreciate Pop's comment at 2:46. I'm disabled, and I can tell a bit from your videos already regarding trail accessibility! But it meant a lot to have that call-out specifically, thank you.
Thank you for taking us along for the A M A Z I N G scenery.
Welcome back!
Thanks for letting me have the time off!
I am so thankful to God that nature exists. It is love and life.
We will be in this area in a few weeks - aaaaaaaaHH I can't wait!
I can’t give you two likes, or else I would 👍🏽👍🏽🙌🏽
haha we appreciate that!
Thanks for taking me somewhere ill probably never get to. Great video!!
No problem, thanks for watching the video!
@maryfettig3378 Thanks for coming along with us!!
Im with you and pops not a big Twilight fan
haha I don't think he even knows what it is haha
Went on a photo tour of ONP a few years ago. We climbed over the driftwood at Ruby beach for milky way photography. ONP is worth it.
Oh man that sounds so amazing! I bet your photos are stunning
Another great video, i am planning a trip there so this helps a lot!
Great video thanks 👍visit Olympic couple years ago , got a question did you need a film permit for the national park ?
I just went to the Olympic NP this summer!!!! It's so beautiful, and so fun! Ruby Beach was one of my favorite parts! It's fantastic during sunset. When did you go? How was the weather?
Also, Pacific Pizza in Forks is really good! But all the places to eat or shop in Forks close early (8 or 9pm or earlier), so make sure you have snacks or food in the car. There is very little civilization throughout most of the park, so be prepared, plan gas stops, give yourself plenty of time. Traveling does take forever through the park! Also, also, Rialto Beach is amazing, and Cape Flattery is awesome! The Makah Reservation (pronounced like macaw the bird), has a great cultural center, and good places to eat! Hope you can come back and do more there's so much to see!!! It's epic!
So awesome, Ruby Beach is amazing and the weather was perfect for us. I wish I would have known about the pizza spot, sounds awesome! Really wanted to go to Cape Flattery but ran out of time on this trip.
It is such a beautiful NP.
Beautiful
Hope I make it their someday and can you take your dogs on this any of these trails
I hope you can make it there too! I think most national parks don't allow dogs but I am not 100% sure
Awesome! We were thinking of a trip soon, but didn't have your magic itinerary / recommendations- now we're set! Thanks! Hi Pops! :)
@cgamiga Hello to you!
You should, its a special spot for sure!
@@travelwithpops Gorge-ous place and videos, as you said, Pops! :) Can't wait til we can get up there!
Absolutely gorge-ous, team Jacob
Was just there 2 weeks ago. Wish I had known about Lake Quinault. I found Hurricane Ridge to be my favorite part of the park.
I love ur channel so much
I lived in Washington state for a few years . I love it there I should have never moved back to Cali. I really enjoy your travels with pops
It is such a beautiful state, I would love to explore more
@@ThroughMyLens Mt. St Helens is beautiful if you ever get back up to Washington!
Thank you for this video. Awesome. I use to live. Between. Kalaloch and forks WA, I worked at kalaloch I miss it!!!!
Oh wow, I bet you know the area really well!
Thank you Josh and Pops. By the way my grandkids call me Popz 🎉😂😢
That's awesome! Another pops
You’ve made me want to go there.
