      True, Leonard was also dangerous if he had to fight. When Tommy was outboxing him, he resorted to fighting and caught Hearns with some great shots because Tommy was winning the boxing match which was unprecedented for Leonard who was best as a boxer with everyone else but a beast as well as a fighter.

    Mr Floyd Mayweather Sr got the butter from the duck , but Ray Leonard's stamina couple with a few very powerful left hooks seemed to be the deciding factor , because unfortunately a great defense needs to be supported with a little offense at the end of the day. Leonard earned his money that particular night...

    Mayweather senior fights better than Mayweather Jr at least Mayweather senior goes at the so far fight looks good up to the third round so far. The shorts that they wore back then was a lot better than what they were wearing no Mayweather Jr shorts they almost down to your knees. Looks ridiculous. Wow Mayweather senior is 24 years old

    This one sided beating of Mayweather Sr, (who had some skills and good stamina) gives us an insight into the Leonard/Maywether Jr question. No doubt that Leonard would have beaten Mayweather Jr - Too fast, Too strong, Too intelligent.

      Don’t be too certain; Leonard clearly had problems against the Philly shell defense used by a slower boxer who couldn’t punch. Jr is a much quicker boxer than Sr, mastered the Philly shell and punched harder. Sugar would have been in a war.

      @dmoney7784 6 месяцев назад

      no offense to sr. But he’s not as fast as jr, dosent counter punch as well, sure as hell has a lot slower feet as well as reflexes not to mention he just keeps his left hand by his hip and doesn’t move his head💀🤣and he doesn’t use his right to catch punches out of the Philly Shell. This doesn’t inform anything regarding Mayweather Jr and Sugar Ray Leonard, fighting Floyd Jr is a much much better fighter than Floyd sr was so it would definitely be a way harder fight for sure Ray Leonard than this one was. This is a crazy comment you must really hate Floyd jr man….🙄loser shit.

    THIS IS WHY A LOT OF FIGHTERS FROM THAT ERA OE PUNCH DRUNK NOW DAYS , HAVE BAD SPEECH AND SO MUCH MORE BUT BECUS THY TOOK A LOT OF PUNISHMENT BUT WOULDN'T QUICK AND THY WAS RIGHT BACK IN THE RING ... THIS IS WHY I NEVER DID KNOCK FLOYD JR FOR BEING SMART HE WATCH WHAT TAKING TO MUCH PUNISHMENT CAN DO TO A BOXER FIRST HAND SO U HAVE TO RESPECT FLOYD JR

    Those two guys were quick, strong , skilled, courageous, and in great shape. One had to give props to Floyd for trying so hard to not go down and fight back - wow. The only downside to this broadcast was Howard - very annoying, if not clueless.

    Love these old fights too, but the skinny legs kill me😂😂. Nowadays though our fighters are so bulked up that they run out of steam so quickly. Heaven help them if they still had to do 15 rounds like these guys. I'd still watch to see who does the best bambi legs dance😅

    I have watched this bout many times . The Mayweather corner should've stopped the fight after round nine. Had Mayweather been disciplined and been in better shape it would have at least gone the distance. Ray would've won anyway.
