The NY Transit Museum occasionally runs special "Nostalgia Rides" for ticketed customers! These trips provide funding for the continued upkeep, restoration, and maintenance of the MTA's beautiful and comprehensive museum train fleet. Interestingly, most of these trains have passenger-accessible front windows, allowing riders a great view of the tracks ahead. Here we see a front-window view of the 4 Line from Woodlawn to South Ferry Loop. Enjoy!

This is why I love NYC Subway infrastructure. I never knew how close the 1 train was to the 4 and 5 when it switched after Bowling Green to the former 1 train track to south ferry loop. Wonder if we could've seen the 1 train from the 4 or 5 train right before the tunnel wall when it used to go to the old south ferry loop considering they never 'meet' under passenger service. Guess I'll never know.
