I was walking downtown yesterday in La Paz looking for Gabriel, too bad I didn't find him. you should definately go for balandra to and climb the Serro to see the whole beach. Also those caves are natural, they used to be more covered, but hurricanes destroy the roof of some of them.
The East coast of Baja is the birthplace of windsurfing. It’s always windy. It’s considered calm because the surfing waves are on the Pacific side. Please make a video from La Ventana 🤙
Glad you visited La Paz. I’m from Arizona and have heard good things about it (less touristy than Cabo, and warmer water)! Since you’re heading north I recommend Puerto Penasco in Sonora.
Ha ha, your suggestion about staying in those caves for free reminded me of my time in Mátala, Crete, Greece back in the 70’s, spent awhile sharing a cave with other backpackers, we slept the nights in the caves and spent the days on the beaches and in the evenings drinking in the one taverner that was on the beach. It’s a bit more developed now though! I was in La Paz in the 70’s also, took the ferry to Puerto Vallarta with 2 lumberjack guys from Vancouver Island, crazy times also.
