Michelle, your work is speaking to me this morning. I want to thank you for your time, your detailed, clear instructions and your beautiful, inspirational paintings. I have this ink and would never have thought to try it on thin Bible pages. Thanks so much for all of your help!
Thank you!
You are a real artist. There is no way I could do the star, much less the camel. It was a real erasure to watch you. God bless!

I love the idea with the Bombay inks. I have a couple and wasn't sure how to use them besides with regular fountain pens. Thank you so much for sharing this! Blessings
Thank you! I often use the Bombay inks like paints, with a paintbrush. They work great!
Hi Michelle. I wanted to thank you for sharing Esther Generation (Karyn) with me yesterday. She was such a blessing to me. I've noticed that you've been broadcasting on Periscope but not transferring it to YT. Do you have a blog that you share your videos? Sometimes I can't watch the scopes and when I get time, they are gone. I LOVE your pages and would like to see them more often. Thanks sister. Love u much!
Hi Tori! Thank you! Karyn is great, I'm glad you are finding her helpful. I save my Periscopes on www.Katch.me, You can go to that web address and just search for Michelle Hotchkiss Art. most of my scopes haven't been art related, but I tried to do one today, but the connection wasn't good so it skips a lot. If you have twitter, you can also find the saved Periscopes there and just click the link.
+Michelle Hotchkiss thanks Michelle, I didn't know I could do that. I'm off to watch your scopes! 😘
Oops I meant to also ask a question. I've seen people iron their pages once they are finished to smooth and flatten. I assume there is a reason why you are choosing the heat tool? I'm brand new to Bible journaling and thanks in advance for your guidance.
Whoops! I used clear gesso for this page prep, not matte medium.i used the heat tool to dry the gesso and inks, just so I didn't have o wait for them to air dry
I don't have much wrinkles or buckling because of how I prep my page before I use any water or wet media on it, so I don't have a need to flatten them. I prep my pages either with TriArts clear gesso or Liquitex Fliud Matte Medium, just one thing n layer over the entire page with a dry, soft paint brush, brushing it on gently so the paper doesn't stretch (that causes the wrinkles). I dry it with a heat tool and then it's ready to go!
