As a Red Sox fan, it's also because players are just doubting us like we had some injuries last year and we missed the postseason but we weren't dead in the league and we swept the best team in baseball guess it's a very judgy sport though.
Dodgers offszn: Traded for Glasnow Margot Re-signed Kelly Heyward Signed Yammamoto Ohtani Teoscar Still interested in Kershaw, another starter, and a closer (Hader). Have a roster spot as well. They're not done
I fully disagree with this off-season being fun lol. Other offseasons have been so much better this one has kinda been like we already knew this guy was signing here aside from a couple huh look at that
The Pirates haven’t improved. Oviedo got injured. That alone is a killer. They signed Rowdy Tellez… 😂 Martin Perez… I mean it’s completely on the ownership not wanting to spend, plus players don’t wanna go to Pittsburgh. Skenes wont be up opening day either to make matters worse (based off of how they handled past prospects).
@VeseonMC They have the pieces, and I agree with that. But I also feel a lot of their prospects underperformed last year. Contreras was awesome in 22, but last year was just completely different. Stuff was off, velo was far down. I’m always pulling for the Pirates, but they look to me as an outlier compared to the other teams in the Central
Royals will be interesting especially considering that they could do the funniest thing in my opinion which is trade Will Smith to the Dodgers at the deadline if they’re out of the race by then
Name three big moves they made. Yeah they have young guys coming up, but those are unknowns, really. And E-Rod departing. Breakout might be this year, I am hopeful they at least are playing meaningful games in September.
If the season started today, the Pirates wouldn't be trotting out Quinn Priester and Osvaldo Bido. Luis Ortiz and Roansy Contreras would be the other two starters. Ortiz had an ERA under 5.00 last year and it wasn't pretty but his numbers are comparable with Johan Oviedo and everyone thought he played so spectacularly last year. Contreras is one season removed from a 3.50 ERA, Mitch Keller had a season with a 6.00+ ERA and survived. The Pirates' rotation is okay. We don't need to spend a ton of money on nobody pitchers. Plus we have so many MLB ready arms in the system. By the way, Osvaldo Bido plays for Oakland now. Seeing how you clearly haven't been paying attention to the PIrates' off season so you don't know what's going on.
My apologies, didn’t realize 5.86 ERA Bido left. Ortiz is awesome, I still think he has a lot of room to grow. Contreras looked so off, and the Pirates have been awful for pitching development. Tough to imagine it magically improving. Farm system has Skenes and Jones, who should be up around the second half. But on a level of opening day, tough to say this team improved.
I’ve talked about LA more than any other team is the thing. Thats why I didn’t put them on this list. I think every fan knows by now knows that they got Yamamoto, Ohtani, and Glasnow
Because I only chose 10 teams lol. I’ve made several Dodgers videos this offseason. I think the majority of fans get tired of hearing the same thing every time
How could you say that the Pirates are your NL team yet completely misrepresent what is going on in the organization? I abhor the fan and media narrative around this team. I've been a PIrates fan for 40 years, 4 years after the last time they won or even been to the World Series. Even I can see that spending a butt load of money that we don't have in this market would be a Chris Archer level disaster. We're so close to putting the pieces together and being a special team. We haven't lost anyone of significance and the prospects should all take steps forward. We only had 2 Pitchers in the starting rotation that we thought might turn into something at the beginning of the 2023 season, Contreras and Keller. Mitch did and Roansy didn't. Roansy is young, but out of options so he'll need to make it work this year. The Pirates were 14 games better last year than they were in 2022 and everyone who played were MLB level talent unlike in 2022 and prior so, calling last year's team underwhelming was completely asinine. This team does not belong in this video. Don't claim to love a team when you don't know anything about them. You clearly didn't watch the games if you're questioning Keller's ability to be at the top of the rotation. If you take out his 4 worst outings, which were disaster starts where he didn't have it that day and Shelton left him in longer than he should have each time, his ERA would have been 3.13. Those 4 starts he pitched 21.2 innings, 31 Earned Runs and only 16 strike outs.
Oviedo getting injured is NOT a small thing. Huge loss. Contreras wasn’t the same at all last season. Completely different pitcher than what he was in 2022. Not being eager to replace any of these pitchers is a big problem. Yes, the team underperformed last year. Contreras underperforming, Davis, Endy, and others. The team should’ve been better. Henry Davis was a let down, along with several others. Downgraded the team by signing Rowdy Tellez. Better option would’ve even been Carlos Santana. Martin Perez was a disaster last year. Fan-graphs projected win total even went down after he was signed. Meanwhile, Cubs got Shota and are looking for Bellinger to resign. Reds got Montas and Jeimer. Cardinals added pitching (although pitchers far out of their prime). Meanwhile, the Pirates sat by and did nothing
Blue Jays have had a disaster off season so far. In on everybody but always the bridesmaid. Weak lineup and a GM who cant get things done. The IKF signing was atrocious. Theyll be lucky to get 87 wins next season

@@PurelyBaseballYT Haha definitely not a goat. I see your channel is growing big time. Keep up the good work!
The Redsox are so pathetic in this off season, missed out on so many stars. I can't take the cheap ownership anymore man.
As a Red Sox fan I agree
As a Red Sox fan, it's also because players are just doubting us like we had some injuries last year and we missed the postseason but we weren't dead in the league and we swept the best team in baseball guess it's a very judgy sport though.
Great takes
Thanks brother!
It’s time for Dodgers baseball - Vin Scully
Dodgers offszn:

Still interested in Kershaw, another starter, and a closer (Hader). Have a roster spot as well. They're not done
I love this video completely ignores the Dodgers cause we all know they're just god damn good
I fully disagree about the Pirates declining.

He completely ignored Paul Skenes too

Just think the pirates could have Gerrit Cole , Joe Musgrove, and Tyler Glasnow
ATL gonna make Sale an ace again, while making Kelenic a 40+ HR hitter and that's scary.
Giants didn't really get better in comparison to what the dodgers did. Their chances got even worse and they already had no chance at the division..
I think the blue jays are gonna try rely on their stars bouncing back huge, but it won’t rlly work, prob 87-75
Totally agree. Atkins is overly confident in a poor lineup
You missed a lot of the moves these teams made
Royals will be interesting especially considering that they could do the funniest thing in my opinion which is trade Will Smith to the Dodgers at the deadline if they’re out of the race by then
😂😂 They probably will too
2 will smiths
Why are the Red Sox in the thumbnail if you didn't talk about them?
Originally were in the video. Thumbnail and title are the first thing made. I should’ve changed that, my bad
Chris Sale being your 3/4 guy is pretty good.
As a Dodger fans I want to add in the Dodgers but they were already pretty good to begin with. I cant fault you for leaving them off
Tried to sneak the giants in there 😂
They definitely got better. But the division also went crazy
It's been a depressing off season as a jays fan thus far. Definitely feels like the team will be worse.
No Detroit tigers😢
Was very close to putting them on this list too! Young team, breakout is coming in 2024
Name three big moves they made. Yeah they have young guys coming up, but those are unknowns, really. And E-Rod departing. Breakout might be this year, I am hopeful they at least are playing meaningful games in September.
Should have mentioned Reynaldo Lopez for the braves solid reliever they’re trying to make a starter

Dodgers just don't exist or something? Friedman just had the best offseason for a gm ever
I’ve also made 4 Dodgers videos this offseason lol. We know how great of an offseason they had.
Love this video!! It's great to see my Braves make some good moves in this offseason
Where the hell are the dodgers😬
4 other videos of mine! Haha I’ve talked about them enough, gotta talk about others at this time.
Not putting the dodgers on this list is wild as hell but more satisfying when all these teams on the improved list lose to them
I’ve talked about LA more than any other team is the thing. Thats why I didn’t put them on this list. I think every fan knows by now knows that they got Yamamoto, Ohtani, and Glasnow
@@PurelyBaseballYTyea I know bro I'm just teasing good video nonetheless

Dodgers????!!!!!
I made 4 Dodgers offseason videos. Decided to leave them off this video, but yes obviously they improved
Giants suprise playoff run will be legendary

hey im early this time

John Henry has gone WOKE, just like his wife.
how are the dodgers not on this list. they took over free agency this season.

How do you not put the Astros on Decline we did absolutely nothing
They were a finalist lol, I thought about it. But things haven’t gone to COMPLETE shit yet. If Bregmans traded, it’l be another conversation
@@PurelyBaseballYT complete shit? 🤣it's worse than complete shit and Bregman won't be traded because they wanna try to make one final WS run

LMAO, the NL Central is about to have 5 teams over 81 wins if the PIrates are going to be battling Milwaukee for the basement. God you're so clueless.
Not really Milwaukee just as of right now just doesn’t look great, but they could be better than how we think they’re going to do.
Fun offseason? It's been such a boring offseason.
I’d say theres been a lot of fun. More so for me tho as a creator lol, fair enough
Baltimore winning it all this year
