We are just starting the process of converting our 2019 AA van and would be really interested to know how much of the AA specific wiring you managed to remove? It looks like you cut the wires arounf that 3 way connector when removing the bulk head? Any advice you have around the redundant cables would be really appreciated, cheers
When we had our pop top fitted, they removed the wiring around the cab, I removed all the wiring at the back of the van myself. There is also a long 200amp power wire spanning the whole length of the van underneath that powers the jump start points front and back that I have removed and reused for my internal leisure electrics. Just keep following the yellow connectors and remove what you can. I know when I get behind the dash there will more than likely be more. I will tackle that when I change the stereo. The flashers on the grill have wires that can also come out. Follow this channel and also worth looking at my channel for other stuff on the van, I changed our steering wheel for a Focus ST really cheaply, and double swivel seat etc. so our videos will be split across both our channels.
I removed the wiring and ended up reusing the large power wires that run under the van, and the distribution box I reused in the back of the van, maybe worth taking a look at my channel for other videos of our van as Helen posts some and I post some.
