Last year I finally tried four black krim plants in my home garden which is one acre of size , no raised beds , no greenhouse, just field ,, they made it all the way through summer and all the diseases and droughts and were bearing in September,,I had 18 Cherokee purple planted very near them and they were all dead in mid August,,,needless to say I already have a dozen black krim in the garden now and can’t wait to see how they do this year ,,I can say that they were so good last year that I kept them all for myself and did not share. Lol

Brandywine is my favorite. The Farmers market did a taste test of 25 different tomatoes and my #1 was Brandywine.

    Hi ,just found yall ,
We are in Montgomery County, Texas
I started our seeds 2 weekends ago , on heat mats with lights on shelves we set up years back ,
Im so grateful I went ahead and started extras again ,
As I went to walmart yesterday and this year is worse then last year
    1-tomato plant $4.97
    1-pepper plant $4.97 etc....
No way would I pay that ,
Ive been doing plant sales for our community, and even have people ask for more ,
Only $2.00 a plant - I started back in 2020 when you know what hit ,
My community loved it , I put it out on our neighborhood online watch ,and they came ,took what they wanted and put the money in a box.
Then 2021 ,was face to face .
I love helping others we only grow for ourselves, but anyone can
Please go ahead and have a plant sale to help others 🙏
Everyone needs to be growing there own food .
    God bless yall

Thanks for the support, good thing you guys have going keep up the good work! If I had to guess we start 40- 50,000 plants a year for our 1 acre market garden, no way I could pay 4$ a pop for them Lol

San Marzano 2... I wish you luck! I grew three, new to me indeterminate paste tomatoes last year/2023. 4 plants of each Sun Golds, Supersweeet 100s, a red slicer (forgot the name), Blue Beech, Verona, & San Marzano 2, all from Johnny's. I had blossom end rot on all of the San Marzanos the whole year long and wasn't able to solve the issue. Bloome end rot is usually a calcium deficiency and 9 times outta 10 its not from a lack of calcium but rather inconstant watering but all these tomatoes were in the same row and all on (12") drip tape. They were however grown outdoors (Minnesota). The Verona were ok, good tomatoes but the plants didn't really thrive for me. Never filled out or grew taller than 5 foot, wonder if it's not a semi-indeterminate. The Blue Beech did very very well and will be growing a huge amount of only them this year/2024. Goal is to do 15 cases of spegiitii sauce! The blue beech was both vigorous, healthy, heavy producing, & tasty with little 'water' in them. I just thought I'd share me experience with the san marzano 2 with you. Again, all in the same row with the same irrigation. Wishing the best for you, hope your luck with them is better than mine was. If you remember, at the end of this year you should let me know if you had better luck.

I had blossom end rot on my San Marzano tomatoes as well. I probably harvested half of what I should have harvested. They are a great tomato for salsa etc.
