This is exactly how ALL trailers should be. Gets you excited without really showing you ANYTHING. Nowadays you know 70% of what's going to happen just from watching the trailer. It spoils all the best stuff!

@@jackhutchings1 No, it doesn't. A shark somehow knowing about other sharks being killed by members of a particular family, knowing exactly who the family members are and where they are at all times, makes no sense whatsoever.

iactually i loved this film when i was about 5 or 6 years old,watched it every day :D
The opening credits were good: Musical score and intro scenes were menacing and creepy. The movie, overall, had good scenery and a good cast: Caine, Guest, Young, Gary and Peebles.
Just when you thought it was safe to go back into theaters.

Parker Pshebnisky I think it's cool. Plus, this shark was avenging the rest of the sharks deaths from Jaws, Jaws 2, and Jaws 3-D.

I agree... It really wasn't that bad of a movie... Although some of the story plots were laughable as hell... Jaws were after the Brody family, first, he killed one of the sons because he must have recognized him... Then when they went to the Bahamas, Jaws must have gotten a hold of their travel arrangements and tracked them down... lol

Jaws 2: Was good for a sequel but only because of Roy Scheider's performance

Caine releases this and Hannah and Her Sisters (won Oscar) within a year of each other - that's some random creative output right there lol. The only actor who can match this is Joe Pesci circa 1990 - Goodfellas (won Oscar) and Home Alone.

Best movie ever imo. My favourite bit is when they kill the telepathic shark, that had just swam 1,500 miles in a day by using its force powers like Luke Skywalker to baby Yoda, at the end and it balances ontop of the water, on its tail. roars like a lion and explodes for some reason. It’s so awesome, 12/10
Also amazing how the shark was able to obtain her itinerary.

Shark effects in Jaws 2 3 4 are horrible. Only Jaws 1 is amazing that film needs to be preserved its a classic for the ages
Jaws The Revenge was the direct sequel to only the first two Jaws films, ignoring the events of Jaws 3 because The Revenge was meant to be a trilogy to the Jaws films not a tetralogy.

That is usually the way it goes with sequels. The first one or two might be great blockbusters of a movie, but then the latter sequels will really suck, and not make any sense at all. That is Hollywood I guess.

By the name and suggest that this is the first sequel but somehow I don’t think that’s the case I thought the sequel was called Jaws two and I don’t think it was 12 years after the first one if I’m not mistaken the first jaws came out and 75 I could be wrong about that

I like this film. You just have to suspend disbelif. Yes thé original Jaws is a Classic. Thé second Jaws is very good. However i find Jaws 3 and 4 Réal lu entertaining. They tried to do something différent. Thé thème Park was a good idea

What i never understand is why it's hinted this is the sharks revenge: I see it as Ellen's revenge. Sharks tormented them long enough and killed her son and supposedly caused Brody to die due to his stress with the shark. I always saw this as "this times it's personal: the Brodys, especially Ellen have had enough."

But we know its the shark's revenge because the shark follows them to the Bahamas which is really stupid or unless the shark untentional swam there before they even got after he killed sean but idk ask the writers.

In the movie when the choir sang First Noel, it was an audio clip from Christmas in Australia, in 1958. Talk about lip sync. And I like atomic bombs.
The only thing I know about the Christmas pageant scene is the choir. do they Sang in low quality? In my flashback, I didn’t hear the band or see the drama society, I just saw and heard the choir. Today, I’ll commit suicide and say ”baby Noah’s cries are worse than the baby einstein elephant trumpeting” and shoot my self. Pays 20 Schyllings.

I understand that this film got negative reviews about it but I think is basically better than jaws 3 or jaws 3d because it has strong continuity to the first two films and thank god it doesn’t have crappy 3d effects I mean like seriously the last film( jaws 3d) is basically very cheesy and the characters are boring and tedious and It kinda looks like it’s made for a different type movie.

Why people say this is one of Spielberg's masterpieces is beyond me. People are so dumb. This movie was quite good but not the masterpiece most claim it to be. Spielberg made way better movies. The very first Star Wars movie, from 1977, for example which launched his career was way better than this.
