Nooo, the Mughals collapsed. I really wanted them to destroy everyone when they were getting super powerful in Asia. How do you get that big and still collapse? That's EU4 Ai hordes for you smh
Eric Scott, yeah, but if they had an actual administration that didn't collapse every time they expanded them things would be different. That's just how some countries are tho *sigh*
A farmland terrain in eu4 for has a lot of bonus: developing the land is cheaper, you can fit more army in it and you can build more buildings, also there will be no combat bonus for attacker or defenders, only the attacking malus due to river crossing.
also, the land that the inca took were probably not colonized but instead the inca conquered the random migratory tribes that tend to stick to the incan lands
Great Britain released all the cities and Wales because you probably clicked through start dates before staring the game. It's a weird bug that happens if you mess with the start dates before starting.

What would happen if you managed to make provinces of the currently unaccessible territory such as Sahara, Himalayas, Anazonas or even the Alps. Also in flat mode
I have a cunning plan ... But seriously, it’s idea/request/plea prompted by Drew not knowing why the farmland made such a difference. I don’t how many of you are like me, but with limited free time, learning the mechanics of EU4 is too daunting; too complex. I want to learn so I can play the game and better understand what is happening in Drew’s “experiments”. Surprisingly, but humorously, Drew is in the same boat. My request is this, could someone who really does understand EU4 and watches Drew make a video that explains the basic elements of the game mechanics in terms of how they affect AI only battles? Not super in depth, and you don’t have to worry about teaching a person to play and win. I am imagining bits like this (I am TOTALLY making up the particulars - example only): Farmland affects population growth, movement, and trade volume. But what really matter is pop growth early on. You saw all these unusual nations do well because in the base game many provinces start with too little farmland to grow fast enough to avoid being eaten up. Or, religion only affects diplomatic relations and how hard assimilating a conquered territory is, but neither matter enough to worry about. And perhaps explains a little behind the “release” (is that the right word?) of so many countries late game. Why does that happen and are there rules? How hard is colonization and why is it good? Why do colonies so often gain there independence around the same time? So a very different kind of video than a tutorial, let’s play, or “normal” help video and I can’t find one already made. If some saintly fan of Drew’s would make this, I bet he’d watch it and I know I definitely would! I am sure it’s a lot harder to do than I am thinking, and the “do it free” is probably not super attractive ... maybe someone trying to get their own channel off the ground? I bet Drew would be willing to give credit and a shoutout if someone does this and we can get Drew to notice!
The biggest nation will win because all land is valuable and the Mamelukes can grab up a lot of Africa since it isn’t a waste of time. Russia being big, all of their Siberian land become valuable rather than inhospitable
2:29 Dear Slavic people in the thread, Let's have a bit of a kindly laugh on Drew, who cannot describe a light-blue color, 'cause his language doesn't have a specific word for it.
Not sure of you can dp this but a really cool way to improve would be a couple of the "top 8" throughout the video to see the different dynsties amd how much they dominate. For example how powerful were savoy at their peak?
i dont actually play any of these games so dont know if this either already exists or is even possible but a concept: a mod that randomly generates where all nations are placed on the map
I like how he always talks about timelines and “that happened quick” and stuff like that, yet we have no concept of how far the game has progressed
he really should show the date in the top right like in the game.
I think he goes way past year 2500 just so you know
Tbh ngl I'm not a big fan of extended EU4 games, the game breaks outside of its 1444-1821 timeframe and you always get extreme blobbing XD
But I like blobbing, it gives us a few clear winners in each video rather than 20-30 “decent” powers
