Helen, I love how you give us little history lessons of your country and taking your camera out on the street and in the country. Keep those coming! :)
Your English is so good! Thanks for making all these videos. I'm a Vietnamese-American and it's hard for me to try to cook Vietnamese food. You make everything look so easy!

Thank you for sharing. I was thinking of wonton noodles soup on my birthday, but didn't know how to make it. Seems like you read my mine. Am very happy. Thank you!
Another fantastic video - the wonton soup looks fantastic. I always wondered how the roasted pork in Chinese cooking got it's red outer coloring... now I know !! Thanks Helen !!
That looks so good! I've never had Mi Wonton (Wonton Noodles) before. Watching this in the middle of the night makes me Sooo hungry! I gotta stop watching cooking videos in the middle of the night. Lol I have to try this sometime! Thanks for sharing the recipes Helen!
Hi Helen, We are traveling at the moment in Vietnam, and we don't actually recognize a lot of the fruits & vegetables. maybe you can do a video about some of it? thanks
What a cutie! :P. Hi Helen, I'm a new subscriber! This dish looks really good! I want to try to make it but first I want to try your other recipes - especially bun bo hue! :). And yes I just ordered your cookbook literally 5 minutes ago. It'll come in 2 days (I hope) - don't let me down Amazon Prime! Quick question, there's this one dish my parents used to make, it is squid stuffed with clear vermicelli, pork and this brown weird looking mushroom. Do you know if that's a vietnamese or chinese dish?
This is comfort food for me! You don't have to have all the components. I usually just do the soup with the wontons and bokchoy and leave off the noodles
Hi chi. Just made this but the soup is not sweet at all. I cooked it 45 mins to 1 hour. Still not sweet. I had to add salt and sugar. Is it the mushrooms and fried shrimp? How long did you keep the dried shrimp in hot water? Did you use dried shitaki mushroom or fresh?
Lol, whether I have been to a 3rd world country or not is irrelevant. With all the food issues that have been in the news lately it would make sense to want to eat or purchase from a company who is taking safe food handling precautions. Maybe you do not care but there are people who do. The video was beautiful, however, beautiful or not there are things people are concerned about, lol I guess you watch movies without reflecting on things like this. Thanks for sharing. Cheers!
This is a small home operation that probably sells their noodle locally. I'm pretty sure there are higher standards if they were to import it to other countries.

you can replace pork with taro .

I used dried shiitake. Simmering the dried shrimps with the bones for 1-2 hours is recommended for a flavorful broth
I like to eat Wonton

There is no safety measures for cross contamination at the noodle making plant? That is alarming....
