you know he's a loving father with that genuine head pat to his son 19:50 , thank you the Lau's family for sharing another amazing childhood fav dish!!!
Your dad is absolutely right about not using ground meat for wontons/dumplings. For years, I've been trying to perfect my dumpling recipe but I just seem to never get it right (i was using store bought ground pork). One day I decided to mince my own pork and it really changed the game. Thank you for all the great tips!!
Just made this for dinner and ssssssshhhhhhhh, these wontons are even better than my own dad's (He was born and raised in Kowloon, Hong Kong) ... The filling is AMAZING, thank you Daddy Lau! I am so excited for this recipe! I’ve been using your recipes so much the past few weeks and they have all been a hit! My husband is from HK and all his family is in Vancouver, BC. We have two small kids so we aren’t going out to Chinatown or other places because of COVID. Your videos are truly giving me a way to share parts of their Chinese heritage with my kids, as well as bringing joy to my husband who often goes without his favorite dishes because I never was able to make them! I’ve also printed out all your recipes abs made them into a binder…I can’t wait to add more! Thank you and your Dad and your whole family for bringing us so much!
A really great video. (Turning off cc helped me as I had two set of subs come up). I was looking pretty hard for the weight of the Pork. It flashed up at 12oz which is 340g. We buy all foods including in this case for me Pork Mince which comes in 500g or 1kg packs usually. Now to try the recipe and the judge, my wife will inform me of its success I hope (she is Chinese)
Oh My Gosh!!! My mouth is watering so bad!! I love Won Tons and especially Won Ton Soup. My favorite Chinese Restaurant went out of business. There are other Chinese restaurants that have come here, but their food is not flavorful, and most has so much liquid in every dish that it looks more like a watered-down soup. Seeing how to make real Won Tons gives me hope that maybe I can make some of my favorite dishes and have that true Chinese flavor. Thank you for sharing your recipe and techniques.

I'm really learning a lot from your dad. I love how he prepares the food, the way he takes care of even the tiniest details that I would have never thought about if I didn't learn it from him. Thank you so much!
I wish more Chinese takeout restaurants served your dad's food. I'm so tired of places serving chicken filled corn dogs with cherry jello "sweet and sour" sauce.
I love seeing the multiple generations enjoying his dishes! Your child will grow up with all of them and hopefully will also pass them on. That’s so wholesome!
I really enjoy the format of these videos. The meal time chatting is always very interesting, and blacking the camera at the end of the table makes it almost seem like the viewer is actually at the table enjoying the conversation with everyone else.

Amazing and another must make. Mr. Lau is so informative and gives you information you would not know about otherwise! Sure hoping a cookbook comes out soon! Imagine the world following the Lau family traditional recipes.
Uncle Lau, thank you so much for sharing this one! I can't go to my favorite Chinese restaurant because of the pandemic. Had been working on the fillings at home for months, somehow they always tasted bland or weird 😭 I twisted you recipe a bit but your condiments portion is already the best! Looking forward to more of your videos! ✨✨✨
the difference between Asian and western in meat consumption - we Asian mostly don't like the `myogoblin taste' ... while western people is always about the 'red meat juice' 😆
is there a dish he made like 987 times? or a bit less than a 1000? how could you tell it was excactly in the thousands, what if it he made it 6595 times??? good video
Ye this video made me start using hand cut pork and it does make a huge difference in making the wontons lighter. At 17:00 your dad has the wontons plastic wrapped before freezing them. You didnt mention it, but it is important to plastic wrap them like that, otherwise the wontons will have many cracks as it freezes.
After years of creating Chinese cooking content and an entire lifetime of being a chef’s son, it’s really embarrassing watching him attempt to prepare food. If his mission is to preserve the culture and his family’s recipes, why didn’t he start with himself?

The recipe is why I'm here but that baby is so precious I just want to eat him. Too cute for words.
The "yes" followed by "yes" 'translation' at 3:01 from your parents absolutely killed me 😂😂 seamless comedic timing 😂 thoroughly wonderful video, thank you! Can't wait to make these!!
I'm really learning a lot from your dad. I love how he prepares the food, the way he takes care of even the tiniest details that I would have never thought about if I didn't learn it from him. Thank you so much!
BLESS DADDY LAU! And Randy 🙏
Thanks brotha!!! Hope you're doin well!
One of the most wholesome channels on RUclips. Your dads our Chinese uncle lol
Filipino use the same wraps n deep fry them. It’s called lumpia. They are meat filled. 😊
I wish more Chinese takeout restaurants served your dad's food. I'm so tired of places serving chicken filled corn dogs with cherry jello "sweet and sour" sauce.
If you live in or near a city, go to the chinatown and order something actual chinese people eat.
I love seeing the multiple generations enjoying his dishes! Your child will grow up with all of them and hopefully will also pass them on. That’s so wholesome!
If you can put some 大地魚粉 into the meat, it’ll taste even better !
the secret ingredient
Time to get some wonton wrappers to try making this myself 😋
Yesssss
These look so good. I love wontons! Wonton noodle soup is one of my favs.
I am a big fan of your family!Chef Lau say hi to me on your vlog. My name is Marco.
The part when they are tasting the wonton was so precious, i cried
I found wrappers bought for Asian store are better. Big difference.
I mean, the title...
I really enjoy the format of these videos. The meal time chatting is always very interesting, and blacking the camera at the end of the table makes it almost seem like the viewer is actually at the table enjoying the conversation with everyone else.
I look forward to the time I can make this. And it makes me happy seeing a happy family. C: so wholesome.
Definitely on my list to cook with my boyfriend when travelling is allowed again ^_^
Won Ton Soup for Breakfast!!! I can't imagine anything better to start the day! I am a 78 year old Caucasian Grandpa who is in love with Asian Cuisine of every sort. I LOVE your channel and thank you and your wonderful family for Sharing Chef Lau's knowledge with us all!
Just finished making 76 these and it truly brings me back to childhood. Thank you, Daddy Lau, for yet again, another amazing home recipe. Por Por, Lo Dau, Dai Lo, and Sai Lo are all loving it!
Gon Bui to all!
Oh the baby, he is so adorable! Keep looking at him more than listen to Mr. Lau 😁. Thank you !
I love this channel cuz it's so warm to watch. Can see love from him making food for his family 😊

I love your family! I love seeing all the food you make for dinner. Can you tell the people watching what the additional food dishes are that you eat for dinner, that are on the dinner table?
The noodle dish that you guys eat in a lot of vids, is that chow mien or it is a different dish?
Thanks for leaving us a seat at the table. Feel like I'm right there.
i like the video presentation , normal family discussion time , and give the dish its time of appreciation and respect the experience of your dad … i will try make a halal version , i get a lot information from this vid thanks for sharing
I salute Daddy Lau's methods of cooking.. you are now my fave chef that I binged watch all of your recipe and I loved it.. greetings from London 💕💕💕
Thank you for all the authentic recipes your dad has been sharing. He reminds me of my dad, who also spoke Cantonese.
Wow! Excellent instructions on making these delicious wontons😋🥟🤤 Thank you, Lau family ❣️🙏 And baby Cam is getting so big!🙂 Soon he will be helping to cook👨🍳🌟
They just ignored the mom flexing that dad lau NEVER BREAKS A WONTON
Is it wrong that the best part for me is the faces that little Cameron made?! Especially 24:35. I think it is cute and funny. But I also love that Daddy Lau is allowing us to learn all his tips and tricks for Chinese cuisine
I just made these wontons with your video; they came out better than any restaurant we have ever been to. Thank you Lau family for such a wonderful video and channel!
Please can Daddy Lau share his yuk beng (肉餅) recipe he mentioned in the video? Mine always come out so dense! Your dad has the most amazing tips so please pass on my appreciation to him for sharing his wisdom with us!!!!!!!
สุดยอด👍🏻👍🏻ชอบมากน่าทานมากๆ😋🇹🇭
What a wonderful gift for you, to have these videos with your family discussing family recipes! Thank you for all the great information - I'm going to make these wontons for dinner tonight :)
Tried these over the weekend and OMG they were better than any dumpling that I've ever bought. Thank you thank you thank you for preserving tradition and giving us a peek into your beautiful family.
Had been working on the fillings at home for months, somehow they always tasted bland or weird 😭
I twisted you recipe a bit but your condiments portion is already the best! Looking forward to more of your videos! ✨✨✨
Could Daddy Lau teach us how to make XO sauce as well? Thank you so much for all the videos and efforts. Learnt so much from them.
the difference between Asian and western in meat consumption - we Asian mostly don't like the `myogoblin taste' ... while western people is always about the 'red meat juice' 😆
is there a dish he made like 987 times? or a bit less than a 1000? how could you tell it was excactly in the thousands, what if it he made it 6595 times???
Yum! I'm so excited to try your recipe! I'm allergic to shrimp. Is there a substitute?
Just leave it out and add a little chopped dried shiitake mushroom different flavor but still really good.
