Wonderful perspective on some of the available euro water on the Derwent. Most of the pools Andy fished I blanked on with Spiders. Great to see there are plenty of fish in them, just much deeper down!

Andy, from a reel's bare spool, how is it filled for Euro Nymphing please ?
I ask because I have a complete setup, but the French leader thingy is connected to a normal #3 wt fly line. I'm sure that expensive fly line is being wasted and could be used conventionally on the spare spool I've just purchased.
Hi Andrew, you're absolutely right, the 3# line is wasted, you could just go fly line to french leader - that's what I do

Only few mins in.. that couldn't have went any better, Andy... IB picked a couple nice flies (in my opinion).. but you picked 4 belters!! They would all do damage round my way.
