Way back when this was current I was one of those hipster Wayne haters, until I heard Dr. Carter. Then all his music started slowly making its way into my playlists
@BladeDaRealest my first ever rap album was the Carter 2. I had it on CD 💿 😭 when I git my first Walkman. I can still recite Tha Mobb word for word! Same with BM Jr on Tha Carter 1. But they both had dead spot in them. There were a lot of great tracks, but it didn't flow as seamless as the Carter 3. C3 was an album! Wayne had something to say. There was great format, structure, and pace to the album. C3 didn't have any dead spots to me, when I say dead spots, I mean filler tracks.
I think its been 17 years but I get yo point. I cant remember if I was 9 or 10 when it dropped Injust remember basically stealing it from my kom and having it in my cd player constantly. My mom and steo dad used to always skip “Pussy Monster” when i was playing it in the car😂. Ahhh good times
It goes like this: No Ceilings Tha Carter V Dedication 6 & D6 Reloaded Tha Carter III Free Weezy Album Sorry 4 The Wait 2 Dedication 5 Da Drought 3 No Ceilings 2 Tha Carter IV Dedication 4 The Leak Tha Carter V(pre-released tracks) Dedication 2 I Am Not A Human Being Lil Wayne and The SQ4 The Leak Reloaded The Drought is Over 2
Bro this album was the soundtrack of my 14 year old summer lol. Legendary album. Wayne is the goat and the first draft of album was actually leaked so he put out a mixtape called the leak and then started over. This is the finished product!
I’ve got my Friday night sorted…. Thank you for this I can’t wait to listen to this Album again.. Along with your amazing reaction…. Yes 👏 This album introduced me to Lil Wayne in a completely different context… What a beautiful Time 🙏🙏👍👍
Let the beat build beat was produced by Kanye west This album is crazy good and the amount of double meanings, tracks, hooks is crazy! This is Weezys best album
Wayne is one of the best rappers to ever spit into a mic and this is one of the GREATS when it comes to his albums. It's a higher level of rap music, his bars and flow are impeccable. Nowadays, not including Em as he is on his own at the top imo and semi retired, only J.Cole and Kendrick can be considered his peers. The rest of the "New breed" of rappers are NOWHERE near as talented as Wayne.
Thank you for saying Carter V is your fav cuz imo people get hit by nostalgia and don’t realise Carter V might be his best album just because it’s so complete man. It has a song for every mood. Please do Carter V next
Bro Wayne’s music is timeless. Carter 3 his best album and no ceilings his best mixtape. My opinion. Wayne in my opinion is the best all time. Punchlines and metaphors are insane
This whole album takes me back to Highschool holllllyyyyy the nostalgia…plz don’t forget about YB, maybe Wayne is the reason I love that areas sound (Louisiana) same w Kevin Gates he’s amazing too
New Ghetts and Potter payper is what I’m waiting for. Thank you as well for the videos you drop on a consistent basis.. Got a few videos to catch up on this weekend. Thank you though for all the great videos 👍🙏
Couppe corrections: "Comfortable" samples the ending of Alicia Keys' "You Don't Know My Name" "Let the Beat Build" was a co-production. Kanye did the sampling, Diesel did the drums. If you paid attention to the kit Diesel had on this beat, it's nothing similar to what Kanye used on 808s and Heartbreaks
Dirty Dike - Future Posse Cut One Thousand Dirty Dike - Future Posse Cut Eight Million Please do yourselves a favour and do both as soon as humanely possible!
Check out Free Nationals, 'Gangsta' featuring A$AP Rocky and Anderson .Paak. There's a music video. Free Nationals has been playing with .Paak since the beginning of his career.
Dope reaction so far…I’m commenting at Tie My Hands. Got me in that zone where I’m fighting the urge not to go listen to Wayne then come back to this 🤣
Love the reaction! Are you guys going to end up doing reviews for artists that don’t have any physical albums would love to see a bones review but he doesn’t have any physical releases
Good review/reaction but in my humble opinion Tha Carter II is a far superior album. But this is definitely from Weezy's extremely lyrical era. His bars are so freaking nuts and well laid out. Not mentioning him in the best ever conversation is an injustice. I don't have a favorite track on this album but my overall favorite track is probably Best Rapper Alive or Hustler Muzik from Tha Carter II.
I do love the whole I got shot you can see the proof even though he shot himself lol but still Wayne is one of the goats definitely his head is on Mount Rushmore of rappers, a milli to this day whether you have a shitty system or a great sound system the bass is next level
this is a Wayne reaction obviously but Fabolous doesnt get tha credit he deserves yall gotta do sum Fabolous reactions like his Friday Night Freestyles
I liked c4 the best. It was very complete. C5 Og was even better . C3 and c2 are legendary. Lil wayne is probably the goat. I just hate the content . Tupac and dmx had better subjects imo
The best feat???? We not gonna count mona lisa? Or the forever remix?? Its crazy how much young money was running thw game back then. With the exception of em and ye the 2005-2015 era charts were almost exclusively topped by a YM artist.
Dr carter is one of dopest lyrical songs of all time that never gets mentioned.
Carter 2.
Way back when this was current I was one of those hipster Wayne haters, until I heard Dr. Carter. Then all his music started slowly making its way into my playlists
Carter 3 is Wayne's best project! 14 years later and I'm standing on that!
💯💯💯
Only to the masses Real fans know C1 and C2 was his best album had better content and relatable songs but skill wise he got better during the C3 era
Carter 2 and to be honest the c5 is up there on the second listen

This was the hottest out when it dropped. Then he finished the game off with No Ceilings. Rappers just been singing ever since 😂
lol Carter 2 not being at the top is comedy easily his at his peak
Bro this album was the soundtrack of my 14 year old summer lol. Legendary album. Wayne is the goat and the first draft of album was actually leaked so he put out a mixtape called the leak and then started over. This is the finished product!

-hustler music
-something you forgot
Tha mobb>all
Bro Wayne’s music is timeless. Carter 3 his best album and no ceilings his best mixtape. My opinion. Wayne in my opinion is the best all time. Punchlines and metaphors are insane
Drought 3 is his best mixtape
Raekwon ft Lil Wayne - My Corner
The Kanye produced song is a genius level of sampling. He sampled his own produced song “You Don’t Know My Name” by Alicia Keys
I like how yall are doing single songs but also do these full reactions on older albums. almost like searches through the archive
🍻
Mr. Carter is one of my fav songs from him and the album because it’s one of my hype songs because my last Carter as well

It was Carter 2 for me but 3 was when I was 16 starting to smoke weed and really taken in the music 🤣
Personally I think Carter 2 is the epitome of Wayne in terms of flow and ease on the mic but I can't disagree that Carter 3 is a classic too
Gotta revisit one of the first 3 kanye albums for sure. Some of the best bodies of work 💯
I think he’d like Tha Carter 2 way more.
first Wayne album i bought but
MIXTAPE > album
Check out Free Nationals, 'Gangsta' featuring A$AP Rocky and Anderson .Paak. There's a music video. Free Nationals has been playing with .Paak since the beginning of his career.

That being said it was bar heavy and the guys seemed to not catch majority of them which is crazy to me
2 and 3 are so different. Part of the journey. I've been going through my old discs like the BG Cash Money Roll.
