Great point on "I feel like dying" that song influenced a wave of people. Even him doing rock inspired a wave of kids. Waynes ability to make multiple types of songs dominate mixtapes, pop charts, and features is really unprecedented. Wayne will never get credit for everything he truly has provided to the rap game and music. Also, Nicki and Drake but benefited immensely from the Wayne co-sign. They both would have made it but Wayne standing besides them accelerated their growth. Jay is a better businessman and probably has better peak from an album perspective but Wayne is right there with him. Definitely the Kobe to HOV's Jordan.

He killed the industry with hit records, he killed it with features, he did his thing with albums, he had the streets on lock with the mixtapes (the literal mixtapes God), he don't write like Jay Z, but has the work ethic of 2 Pac, wordplay ✅️, lyricism✅️, influence✅️, masterful run for years✅️, made a song called best rapper alive and nobody checked em. On the real, a lotta youngins don't fck with Nas, because they can't keep up with his punchlines. You see it with the reaction videos on RUclips. It jus sounds good so nobody really complains about it and his fans wanna compared him to nas or Andre😂. Wayne is great but their are old school artist who are simply better than him. Andre 3000 was a lyrical genius in fact to this day his songs still go over people heads. Andre and nas can def out rap Wayne it’s not even close. Wayne over Nas?! Stop it fam. Nas was the best rapper in the world when Wayne was In middle school. Fym. Add in Nas's late-career resurgence and what are we arguing about? The fact that Nas makes a lot of conscious joints and made it this far is a testament to his legacy. Wayne is dope lyrics and had a great run. But you can't find 25% of his catalog on Spotify cause a bunch of his songs is freestyle over other cats' beats. Nas has legendary songs that stand the test of time.
