I heard Chris Sqire, the great bass player from YES about 5 months before he died being involved in a short interview with BBC. They asked him who he thought was the greatest bass player ever. He said he used to believe it was John Entwistle of The Who. But he emphatically stated but now no question Les Claypool of Primus. He passed away from leukemia 5 months later.
Brain joined the group for Brown Album, Rhinoplasty, and Antipop, then Tim "Herb" Alexander joined back up. Although they have occasionally toured with original Primus drummer Jay Lane. He played in the 2010 Oddity Faire tour, and a few others. He is also insanely good. His hi-hat game is sick as hell.

It was near the end of the tour, and they really took this one out for a walk. Other than Southbound Pachyderm, I think it’s their best jam vehicle.

7 Primus concerts under my belt since 1992, and it's still my favorite band, been a fan since i was 14, now 45, ive never swayed, I'm so happy at the fan base they've achieved when i first started listening no one hardly knew them now this generation has embraced them world wide, im proud to be a veteran, my 1st concert they opened up for U2, only 3 songs Played but one of my most cherished memories when i saw them for the first time, opened up with blue collared tweekers! I heard later Les walked the crowd and no one recognized him. This is one of the most original bands ever, I always love to shout "YOU SUCK,YOU SUCK,YOU SUCK! before a show!
Primus was my first concert as an adolescent. I had already been a fan for a couple years. Then I got to see them in Syracuse, New York 2012. Blew both mine and my dads minds.
I’ve been lucky enough to see Primus twice. I absolutely love them. Les is a super underrated bassist and singer. Incredible. Wish more people knew their brilliance.
