Josh Homme is aging like fine wine.
He sure is 👌
Ooooouuuu yeah, love him❤❤❤
he looks like someone you'd see strolling the hallways of a Norwegian gay bathhouse
Gay wine.. but still, love the guy! To death!
Looks like he got tired of the slick suits and perfecty styled hair. Now reaching the age of "been there, done that. That shit doesn't matter anymore"
Man, Jon Theodore is the perfect drummer for this band.
As much as I loved Dave for this band, I have to agree. Joey was a unique talent, Alfredo was the OG, but Jon just kind of slots into the band in a way that is difficult to describe in words. I play drums myself (he mentions, hoping to lend some legitimacy to a RUclips comment).
He kills it, an absolute animal. He has his own sound but these songs don't lose anything for it, if anything they're enhanced by it. After I saw them live this year I realized they're at the top of their game right now and that's wild to me.
Mat we just saw them in Hobart tonight with a thousand people. Was insane
To me, this is the perfect QOTSA lineup. Josh, Mikey, Troy, Dean and Jon.
agree but wish he had a chance to play more dynamics like he did in Mars Volta.
I'm 61 years old and have passionately followed QOTSA since 1998. I've seen many of their shows through the years and not once have I been disappointed. In an era of conformism and blandness, they play on their own playground, and with their own rules. Their approach to music and their supreme musicianship result in truly unique songs and sounds that expand my mind, fantasy, and emotions like no other band. And they have never been tighter live than they are now! I'm f**king gobsmacked by this show! Thank you, Josh, Troy, Michael, Dean, and Jon!
You don't have to start every comment with how old are you. You're not 4. Claiming that an old fart couldn't like something younger people like is an argument nobody raised.
@@moistwo: Well, I start any comment of mine with whatever I like. Not really your business. Period. Regards/ The Old Fart

How do they sound so fucking good on every live recording
thats the difference of amazing bands and genuine from the lame ones who just can perform in studio and with mix table filters and shits. QOTSA plays the same, studio or live.. Rock On
Song for the Dead is will always be the best show ended ever. Makes me want to run thru a brick wall.
I know, been there done that. I'm glad I wasn't the only one who wanted to go mad!
so unfortunate Arctic Monkeys played after this. dont get me wrong they’re good live but we went from THIS to Alex Turner closing the festival by singing in slowmotion for 100 minutes
They need to play regular John live more often. Song is amazing
Literally the best and only way to describe experiencing that song live 👍

"When you live like you are in the dark, all you can see is the fuckin' light". Fuck yeah, Josh
love where dean takes over from troy at the beginning of if i had a tail as he tries to fix his whammy pedal. then when dean gets his timing thrown off by the crowd clapping, jon starts giving a metronome with his hi hat and mikey tries to get the crowd to clap in time by clapping himself. then troy comes back in with what sounds to be a regular octaver as he can't get his whammy working again. shows how professional and seamless these guys are.
Jon Theodore on drums is giving 100+ years of life to the band
flawless playing every time.
Jon is a fucking weapon on the kit
Jon Theodore is the greatest drummer alive. This kind of punctuality, power and ability to create a flow is what no one else can do.
I wonder if they booted him from Mars Volta because they jealous from people telling them how good he was.
Holy shit the audio is DVD Quality. This is one of the best examples of 2023 QOTSA I've seen yet.
AND SPIDERMAN WTF
By far the best gig of this tour so far which is saying something cause they have been on fire lately
The audio is so good! Watched the livestream last night, they were on fire! Played the stream on the speakers in my car this morning while driving to work and realized that these live songs sound even better than on their albums! ❤ Can't wait till I see them in November🎉🎉🎉

Straight Jacket Fitting is a song by god
🎯💯❤💙❤😉😍🥰🤩
It's the quintessential QOTSA song I never imagined QOTSA would sound like that I didn't know how badly I needed 🖤🖤🖤
We’ve peaked as a species. Nothing will ever top this.
Hear, hear!
I saw them for the third time in Lisbon last weekend and I felt the same.
I feel like it's almost unfair to claim anything that Queens has done for our species, as they are Gods of Cool and we as a species are... lackluster. This is so excessively greater than anyone or anything could imagine we might be capable of, much less expect from us. On a more selfish note, I desperately want to be Gods of Cool-adjacent, so Imma STFU and accept it 🖤🖤🖤
Josh just seems grateful. Grateful to have made it through tough times. Appreciative.
Songs for the Deaf is the ULTIMATE road-trip album. These guys know how to rock.
Epic performance. Such energy from the crowd. The band is super tight. Josh is keeping his sh1t together. He's sharp as ever.
Straight Jacket Fitting was historic. Super powerful for a live debut. The response from the crowd. Josh freed all his demons.
Much love.
❤️❤️❤️
Fully agree! I was in the crowd and it was a great show!
Straight jacket was not debuted live here, it was played live in a radio session a few weeks ago.

Josh is literally one of the coolest beings
I was there in the front row, right in front of Josh. My first QOTSA concert, and I can say; I never smiled this much ever and never went as wild as on Song For The Dead. Thanks for this upload, now I can relive this over and over again!
First Queens concert is always big. Especially when Song For The Dead kicks off. Shit gets nutty when that ol’ boy leaves the station.
@@sweetcell8767 🎯💯 Was so blessed for my first Queens show to be in a _club,_ The Catalyst, in Santa Cruz, for the re-release of their debut album... it was godly, seeing my favorite band ever, in a small venure like that, in the 3rd or 4th row. 😍🥰🤩
welcome to the club! I've been seeing Qotsa for more then 20 years now. It was 2001 the first time I saw them, my first rock gig at the time, 16 years old. I think I've seen them about 7 or 8 times now and will see them again indoors this fall. Never a dull moment with qotsa
I just saw them here in LA and I couldn't believe how off the chain Songs For The Dead was. It was a great show.

Wowww. I haven't listened to this band for almost 20 years. Josh went from Hot Daddy to Hot Papa and I am here for it.
might be the best live version of make it wit chu ever...
Man I cant believe they are not playing What the Peephole Say. That song was made for concerts with amazing crowds
They're still going thru the album, but if I'm not mistaken, it's the only one they haven't played live yet. Hopefully soon
I'm surprised how close Jon Theodore sticks to the recorded drum parts. That guy is a beast.
This is another gear, man. They've always been great but you can see how in it Josh is. These dudes are soldiers of art and life
undoubtedly one of the best bands ever.
Personally: one of the best performances I've seen at RW in the past 10 years - I've seen a few.
QOTSA also played much better than at Pinkpop23, where they were good. At RW23 they were GREAT.
And we all thank it to Spiderman.
Greatest band of our time hands down... Nobody has ever came close to their distinct sound
Josh is the perfect frontman. Rugged, drug ravaged, renewed, charismatic, passionate. Love that dude!
Straight Jacket Fitting was meant to be played live. SO GOOOD
I love it that they / Josh still plays a song like the way you used to do, while it is about a past love that’s had an enormous impact on his personal life - no pride, neglect, hate or ego in there. The love was real and probably still is…
Yep... he's said recently that you can still love someone after they're gone, either passed on or just no longer part of your life.
Add to that, he still refuses to say anything bad about the mother of his children, after everything, so... I'm sure the love is still real.
Thank God this band is still going! The only true, legit rock band going hard this decade. Thanks to you guys for keeping hope alive

Kudos to the band's sound engineer(s). They sound fantastic. Hope I can catch them live soon.
are you joking? its fkin horrid
@@olivergard572 Explain how
@@CCDaDon15 it wasnt focused on the band, it was focused on Homme, which whilst good, wasnt what you hear in a live performace. Whats the point of watching a live performance if it isnt to hear the whole band? Just listen to the first minute, you can hear when it clicks over.
@@olivergard572 I'm confused. It's a full and balanced stereo mix and you think it sucks because the lead guitarist is treated as the lead guitar in the mix? What headphones are you using? Troy and Dean are clearly audible and are where they should be in the mix.
@@CCDaDon15 You missed my point bro, I dont like that they focussed on the vocals instead of the band as a whole,
They make playing music look so easy. Might be the greatest professionals I've ever seen.
Troy finally settling into that Paper Machete solo like good ol' Brendon, he's the brownest live guitarist since Jimmy Page.
I still can't believe they played The Evil Has Landed AND I Sat By The Ocean yesterday night, as previous sets included one or the other. So stoked for it - amongst so many other things about that masterclass of a show!
Sat by the ocean one of my favourites
This not only sounded good, it just felt good. Such great, positive energy.
Most insane concert I've ever witnessed. I've had this on repeat the whole day cause I want to relive it over and over. Godfathers of rock showing us how it's done. So honoured to have been there and even spot myself on the footage. Hands down best concert I've ever been to.
