Ive ben doing alot of youtube watching, to understand the Amazon seller app, this is the best video I have come across. Thank you so much for breaking it down! Subscribed!!!
I want to thank you so much. I've watched so many videos on how to scan and after scanning what the hell do I do next. YOUR THE ONLY 1 WHO EXPLAINED EXACTLY WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR.... WHAT TO DO NEXT. Thank you for your patience your explaining everything. I'll be watching every video of yours. You've answered so many questions in a little amount of time that helped me so much in what others I've watched for over 30 minutes and honestly never found out what I'm supposed to do next. Thank you thank you thank you, for your knowledge, your kindness, your empathy, and above all, literally showing me/us how to use the sellers app with, telling me/ us that you have another video telling us what all the area's ( tap on different choices) that us newbie's have no clue on what they mean. And, I've been stuck on how to scan, price, how many are out there and so on. And thanks to you and your kind heart and knowledge I've got a pretty good idea on what I'm doing now. Yes, I've got a lot to learn. So, be watching for my comments. I'm gonna be dropping you quite a few. Thank you, thank you, thank you from my heart to yours. I'm ready now to rock n roll with scanning, pricing and all the other good stuff. I'm ready to make that money. With your helpful videos. Thank you so much again, Terri
Thanks! I've been looking for a video that shows the difference between the two amazon accounts to see how they compare! You explained exactly what I needed! You didn't talk too fast which is vital to someone who is trying to understand something new. You are a true teacher of patience. Speed talking is one of the most problematic issues I find when watching RUclips tutorials. A teacher should never speed when teaching students. You gave my brain a chance to absorb everything you were saying. Great Job Simon.
Thank you! Sooo helpful, it nice you put yourself in the place of people with little knowledge or digital knowhow. You are extremely considerate. God Bless you 🙏
great video. I've got a merchant account and I only sell a small amount of books, each for no less than 35 bucks (that's the least I can accept to sell at considering fees and the work I have to do to inventory the book and ship it myself). Now i'm seeing that I'm probably doing this wrong. To be honest I had no idea people would make such a big difference for having a book the next day or in 4 working days (which is the time my books take).
Simon, so when we go into a library, etc to scan books with this app. What list of criteria are we looking for? Just so we can write it down and stick to that criteria when we go scanning?
Thank you for this video! I have been waiting for my card/bank account to be approved for a few days now. It won’t allow me to list until it goes through. Is this normal?
I am a technical writer and your video has one flaw from the beginning. Let's assume I am from the planet Zardoz and I know nothing about apps. My first question would be where do I get this thing you call an app? Do you have a video showing that?
Simon do you think books will actually sell above min price? For instance if there’s 50 combined new and used offers, and min price is $10. There’s like $.60 of profit. If I lost at $15 is it going to sell? Seller ranking is 60k on this one
Your videos are concise and awesome! Thank you. I have yet to be able to figure out what the red circle with the line through it and the two black arrows mean. You showed that symbol on one of your examples. Avoid purchasing books with that warning? Also, when you see two listings for the same book, which one do you choose to make your decision? Thank you!!
really helpful. I have a question I go to my good wills and scan books but what section should I go to first to scan. there are so many books I don't know where to start.
Thanks! A lot of people say start with textbooks because the profit margins can be very high but overall I'd stay away from the fiction books. Stick with non-fiction like textbooks, DIY books, legal, financial, etc.
Your videos are very helpful and I thank you for everything. This may be a stupid question but I’ll ask. You mentioned one time that you have book scouters and you pay them $2.50 per book. If a scouter goes out to a Goodwill for example and buys 50 books at one dollar apiece. So he spends $50 for the day. You meet up with him and pay him $50 to reimburse him for the book by and in addition pay him $2.50 for each book? Or are you just paying him $2.50 per book and in the background he paid as little as he could for those books to make himself a profit and he swallows the $50 purchase price for those books?
Thank you for share your knowledge!... I'm suscribed now to your channel! You explain very very well. Can you please make a video how to list books for beginners? I'm so confused about listing, labelling books...
Great Video! Best one Ive seen on helping beginners! Do you have any videos or info for returns through FBA? How and when does the refund take place? Thanks again!
Hey Lenny! Thanks for this vid! I just started getting involved selling on Amazon - I actually just joined a membership and I'm not finding anything regarding using the Amazon Seller App For Profits ( as weird as that might sound, you'd think they'd provide it) - Anywhooo Im possibly your newest and biggest fan - Thanks a million!!!!!! Please keep these vids coming! YOU are the man!!!
Oh man, My pleasure! - such a relief to have found that vid. Yes determining the value .. I have wholesale pricing on maple products - plus they ( A close friend ) is developing his own maple sugar and energy bars.. so specifically, yes I am looking how to price items..
Thank you so much. This was so helpful. One thing I'd like to know is what to do when you scan a book and it shows multiple listings of the same book. You touched on it a bit in the beginning but only with books that are actually different (like paperback vs hardcover or audio) sometimes I can't find the difference in title or the type of media but the price they are going for differs significantly. How do you male your choice in this case? Thanks
On the very rarest of occasions it will show the same exact result for the same book. If I'm using FBAScan and see this I'll use the amazon seller app instead as it tends to show a little more. Otherwise I'll look on Amazon.com
Hey Lenny, so I have a book That has 2 listings that go for $499.00 used for volume 1 on AmazonSeller App, I have volume 2. I called a couple of book stores and they offered from what the book retails for. Is there anyway you could help me price this book.
Hi, I just sold my first item on Amazon and need answers to some questions that I have ASAP. Do you offer phone support, if so what is the cost per hour? Thanks, Tony
I noticed you have entered .39 in the field "shipping to Amazon". Is that a standard fee I should enter into that space myself or does that fee really vary widely and if so how do I know then what to enter into that field in the app! How do you even begin to know even an estimated shipping into amazon cost? This stumps me and Im concerned if I dont know this number I could really screw myself. Thanks
I am going to listen to what you say. My biggest pet peeve is when people at garage sales, flea markets, etc. ask me what is on my phone that I do. I was told to say it's none of their business. Maybe I need to see what you do and take note of it. I see message on the phone about certain books and games not to sell.
Hi Lenny. Thanks for this stunning detailed video. I sourced 24 books yesterday at a garage sale. 25 cents a book. Some keepers, some not so much. The seller has another garage full of books. What is your experience with donating books to thrift stores like Goodwill? I've got 18 or so books out of the 24 that don't rate for Amazon resell. 5 minutes ago I got my Amazon verification email. How much of a newbie can I be? :-)
the quality of the books at Goodwill is really good however as far as them being able to resell that can vary based on the location, type of books, if other resellers are also hitting those Goodwills. Overall, it's been pretty steady and have my scouters rotate and/or wait about 2-3 weeks to go back and scout at the same goodwill.
Thanks, Lenny. We have a modest number of thrift outlets. I haven't been aggressively visiting them. Will be asking them how they feel about resellers with scanners.
Today was the first trip to our local Goodwill. Used Amazon Seller's app. No other people scanning. I used my iphone 4s and just shot the covers. Amazing how it pulls up the book. i found a "Very Good" college algebra book. Sales rank of 670 or was it 670,000. $218 original price. I paid $6.99. On amazon the low used was $30.96 and the Prime sellers were in the $48 range(10 of them). What was a shock was the Used good price of $79 and a $198 like new price(whaaa?). I have not checked the camel, camel, camel history or Keepa to get the real sales info. What is the strategy of a seller asking $664 for this same book? A long tail strategy? Thanks for all you do.
Awesome job going into the store to start scanning. The $664 could be a long tail strategy or their repricer hasn't picked up that amount yet to reprice. Sometimes when they use software like ScanLister you set a standard price but higher then normal then use a repricer tool to find that high price and reprice it to a more realistic price.
Yes, the $39 a month is for the amazon seller central account plus there are fees taken out for each sale. So you need to make sure you are not only making decent profit from the sales but also consistent sales.
Ok so I found a book locally here that sells for a really good profit on fba it won’t give me the option to list it as new only as “used like new” or “collectible like new” I definitely bought it brand new I left in the comment thing in the listing that it’s new is there a number for seller support? So far they just send me to customer support if I can figure out how to sell as “new” I’ll buy the store out of the book lol
This is the 1st of your videos that I've watched, and it's light years above the other You Tube videos out there. Thanks for sharing so openly. Trying to figure this whole thing out by oneself is daunting. If you subscribe to "Lite" initially can you upgrade to the "Standard" plan before the full 12 month subscription is up? Thanks in advance.
Hey Simon, hope your online business is still working well. I have been following your youtube video since beginning of the year. even I have opened an account in Amazon, but was not able to take action. Please let me know how to contact you and to be my mentor at least to start for this 4Q.

This video is exactly what I needed. Thank you for being so generous with your knowledge!

Thanks so much for breaking this down step by step - it's so much easier to learn a new platform with detailed breakdowns of the process like this.
Thanks for your VERY informative video. The examples were clear and concise. Great Job to help those of us who are new to FBA and Books.
Thank you so much for showing us how to use the app. one of the most detailed and showing examples on RUclips. great video
You are very welcome!
This has those missing pieces of Information I needed & should have had for some time! Thank You!
Thank you! Sooo helpful, it nice you put yourself in the place of people with little knowledge or digital knowhow. You are extremely considerate. God Bless you 🙏
Thanks a million! I’m getting started and I have inundated myself with information! Felt like I didn’t know where to start.
Excellent summary and just what I was looking for.

Well explained, thanks for clarifying about the restriction. It's a great help.
Fantastic video, learned so much! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
I like knowing that i can get started w the free app. Great lesson for understanding rank and reviews and potential profit for FBA sellers
Thanks SO much for putting out this video! Exactly what I've been looking for!
Hi Simon , Thanks for the video, can you recommend a app to scan books and have all that info easy ?
Thank you for this video! I have been waiting for my card/bank account to be approved for a few days now. It won’t allow me to list until it goes through. Is this normal?
Are the stars in the ratings section from one year or from the moment the book started selling on amazon?
Great video, Can you please tell me what is the best reasonably priced Bluetooth scanner to scan books and other Items to sell on Amazon fba
How about if you sell the new book as very good? Might you still potentially have trouble?
Thanks for the great content. Does this app has triggers
Very helpful information and thanks for sharing! Question, do you put each book into a poly (plastic) bag when shipping to amazon, or no? Thanks.
very interesting I took a lot of notes and I feel much more confident, thank you for sharing, even tho its a year and a half old, lol
I am a technical writer and your video has one flaw from the beginning. Let's assume I am from the planet Zardoz and I know nothing about apps. My first question would be where do I get this thing you call an app? Do you have a video showing that?

Excellent video. Exactly what I was looking for. Thank you!
Glad to hear, you are welcome!
If you cannot sell on Amazon what other platforms other than Ebay is good to sell books on
Excellent Information Thank you! Can I print to my laserjet or my Dymo directly from my phone once i have my 50 lbs?
Great video... interested in starting this business
Thanks this video was my light bulb moment, I been doing retail arbitrage, not really getting it, now beginning to make since at least, again, Thanks
Besides the Amazon seller app what other app(s) do you use to scan books that you may end up buying at book sales. Ty

Possibly a silly question but i'm not seeing the 'new' and 'used' options on my app when clicking in to view a book - have they changed this?
great videos! how high in rank are you willing to go when sending to fba?
Thanks for this! Very helpful.
Thank you for share your knowledge!... I'm suscribed now to your channel! You explain very very well. Can you please make a video how to list books for beginners? I'm so confused about listing, labelling books...

Great video- thx. Can you talk about condition notes? When and how to add them fastest?
Sure thing! I'll be doing a video on Inventory Lab which is the software I use to list.

You are welcome Allen.
Where can you get boxes for the shipping.
If its within your budget, you can go to Home Depot. I go there and mainly buy the Medium sized boxes.
How much is it to sign up with FBA?
tq sir very informative
Are you gonna post more vids
What is your monthy cost for using the amazon sellers account?
I believe it's the standard $40/mo.
Hi, Simon, are you still around??? Been trying to find more of your videos.
Everytime I scan a book it doesn't give me the "used" option only "New" any reason why
thank you so much. Your videos are so helpful. please keep making videos 😍😍
Glad to hear! Thanks!
Is it fine If I put the Cost of Purchase as $0.00?
THANK U, VERY MUCH
great review. very helpful.👌👌
Glad to hear!
Very helpful
Hi is it normal for amazon to ask for a credit card and bank account information right off the bat.
Desiree 1 yeah they do
Great you were a great help
Thanks!

does this include amazon's 33%
Ok Simon

P.S. I share Lidi G's confusion about preparing and labeling books for FBA processing. It would be great to see a play-by-play on that:)
Check out my video I made more recently on how to scan, list, pack, ship books.
Has anyone had problems with a different book coming up then what you scanned?

I think so. I've always paid for the monthly subscription and upgraded/downgraded as needed.
Great video!
Thanks Daria!
Tnx a lot :)
Thanks subbed. How do o know how much shipping will be and what is a good rank for used books
Hey Simon, hope your online business is still working well. I have been following your youtube video since beginning of the year. even I have opened an account in Amazon, but was not able to take action. Please let me know how to contact you and to be my mentor at least to start for this 4Q.
Hello Daniel. Feel free to find me on Facebook and message me.

Thanks Fady!

Any books on amazon ebooks you recommend. I heard bible books do well, educational books do well. I know how the app works. Just wish they could do it better for figurines. I could make a fortune flipping. +SimonSaysResell
The fees are now about 4 times as much as they were in this video. :(
If you are not the author of the book or not the copyright owner, it is ILLEGAL to scan, copy and sell it.
I will have to watch this later because of my damn evil bitch of a bipolar mom fussed about an invisible mess in the other room in the kitchen.
Dang he’s cute
Video is lengthy and it Sucks !!!.Feeling sleepy as well.B.O.R.I.N.G
god almighty, why are people wasting there time selling books that have no profit? I can find more money in my seat cushion than what you are making on these books? What is the deal? Your going to stand in line at the post office for this?
Bla bla bla talk to .much
i sold some stuff on amazon and i was getting bad reviews and low rating then someone told me about a company (Next level ninjas) who helped me increase my sales and rating they are pretty good
