Just wanted to thanks for all the helpful videos. I've had a long time passion for business and shoes have always been something that has been a big part of my life. I've been a little lost into how I can go about reselling shoes and you have really helped a lot. I think the biggest trouble is finding the shoes to get going without paying market value. I'm in Canada and if you have any tips for us guys out here that would be awesome. Thanks and keep doing what you do
What people don’t tell u, especially if ur a new seller, if u don’t have a large quantity for each book listing, you won’t even be eligible for the buy box, fba or not. Meaning that if you buy 20 different books, you won’t be eligible for the buy box for all 20 of those books. It’s still possible to sell, but I wish this was told to me before I started.
Unfortunately as a precaution to protect customers from new sellers who often make mistakes, amazon does make you “earn” the buybox. Don’t despair, you can earn it in less than 6 months and like you said you can still make sales along the way
Its the box that says add to cart and buy now. Whoever has the buy box during that time is the one who will make the sale when a customer clicks add to cart or buy now.
you forgot to explain the hardest part. The shipping. How much is the actual fee? do you charge by zip code? or flat shipping to everyone? do you ship to amazon or to actual client?
With FBA(fulfillment by Amazon) You ship it to Amazon and they ship it to the customer. If you MF(merchant fulfilled) you ship it to the customer. When doing FBA and the seller app there is a space to estimate the shipping per pound.
Im new to Amazon FBA. The part that is confusing me is I see you are not including the cost of purchase on the calculation. How would that be accurate profit without including it?
@@ReezyResells So when I use the Reseller app, it give me different data than Scoutiq. Why is that? I can make profit on one app but negative profit on the other app.
Early on this vid, you spoke of $40 fee and implied that there is a way to avoid that? I didn't hear you explain that info.? Maybe I missed something but can you clarify.
So how much do you usually make (average) after all costs are included...like shipping, cleaning, buying shipping materials and the actual costs behind this. Im talking about true profits not revenue.
Really depends on what your ASP is and what your COGS is, wether or not you have employees or a warehouse or not etc. hard to answer but what I can tell you is that on average amazon takes 15% of the sales price in referral commission and some other fixed rate fees (more for FBA because there’s pick and pack and storage etc) - an average 1lb $15 book sale puts $7-$8 back into your payment account, so starting there, subtract your $1 cost of goods and the $0.25-$0.50 you spent to ship it to amazon, and the $1 for the box and tape used across 30 books ($0.03/book) and your net net before taxes on a $15 sale is no less than $5.47 profit or $5.47 plus your cost of goods and supplies - thats all relevant to the scenario I painted in this comment
