      Blame it on Rogan. He created a monster with the Rogan-sphere. Tom, Bert, Ari, Bobby, Steve-O, etc.. all cycle the same guests and appear on each other's podcasts 100 times a year. Rogan seems like he finally burned out and since the spotify move his guests have been cookie cutter celebrities. He seems so disinterested most of the time. A couple times a month he has on a interesting person but it is nothing like it used to be. Theo and Tosh are my go to podcasts. Theo still has on every day unsung heroes like the garbage man, mortician, nurses all the people that make society function and we take for granted. They have wild stories and Theo keeps it comedic.

      @@danbuckner8364 I'm 100% sincere. I thought I was meta and high brow until I watched TAFS.
      I like it, but it does actually convince me at times I'm on the spectrum when I "don't get it".
      Clealry Adam is talented, but I think their show is a meta attempt by Nick to be the greatest comedian ever by turning Adam into this icon, gaining self pride and accomplishment by proxy. One person broke down one of their intro skits as just that, Nick puppeteering Adam to be the person worth celebrating.
      Psychoanalyzing celebrities is gay and cringe, but Nick wears it on his sleeve that his past trauma makes him hate the spotlight. But it's that same trauma (Tosh himself references) that fuels his "edge" in comedy.
      Also, Adam is 100 % in some secret society the way they pull guests.

    • @JaydedWun
      @JaydedWun 10 месяцев назад

      There might be something to what you're saying, but I think they mostly wanted to be successful, and when Stav first left and they were looking for ideas to save their careers they tested the ironic idea of naming the show after Adam, because the podcast they had gotten rich off involved a literal decade of them making Adam the butt of every joke, so it's just going to stay funny for a long time that it's his show now. I don't think it needs to be more complicated than that, even if Nick does have some kind of thing about the spotlight. I'm also inclined to believe that's not the driving factor now that he has his own special out that's done quite well. @@ASTROPLANET13

      screw that, two or three minimum. Talkshow late night night guys can manage fine 5 nights a week(albeit with descending ratings across the board). He can do two easily without that many writers.

    Luke is the man. Loved him in Bros and in Killjoys. He’s such an earnest sweetheart.
    I was struck by how casual Tosh asks about Luke’s crushes, his boyfriend, and his coming out. I remember growing up when Tosh.o started off. Homophobia was as strong as the iPod was popular. I never could’ve imagined we’d come this far :)
