I worked in apartment maintenance for years. Every guy that came into the industry from construction couldn't figure out how to fix things. They only knew how to put in everything new.

Im a paint contractor i chew gum pretty regular but mostly because i smell like weed and have cotton mouth. I wrap it back in the foil and dispose of it properly. Not sure why I'm so obsessive about it but i never spit out my gum.😊 never heard of a finch but a fitch is a one inch paint brush. Extension cords start at three feet.

Adam, I've been a fan for years. Just wanted to let you know, I'm still laughing at this call from Loveline. This young guy called in, and was threatening su1cide. Before Drew could say anything you said something like, "Goddamnit, what the hell is wrong with you boy!? Here's what you need to do, turn on your tv and turn it to the Trinity Broadcasting Network and watch the Power Team! That'll make you feel better, seeing those guys breaking Louisville Slugger Baseball Bats and concrete cinder blocks. There's nothing like steroided out guys breaking things in the name of Jesus!". The second guest, yes, there are too many regulations but there are too many people as well. There are 50 million foreign nationals in the US and I imagine that more than 10% of them are in California. If they went away tomorrow and the wasteful spending at all levels of government ended, California would be what it used to be: a great place to live. BTW, I guessed correctly she is not from California. To be fair, she made astute observations about the Left.

Nope the bottom horizontal Truss component sitting on top of the wall top plates is called a ceiling joist Bud. The entire assembly Rafters, Joists and Web (braces) is called a Truss.

Interesting point though Truss is the entire assembly including Rafters, Ceiling Joists and Webs. The question used the word "member" which usually indicates an individual component. I'm going to go with "member" not being a great word to ask the question. Better, what is the name of the supporting structure which rests on the wall top plate and supports the Roof?

Maybe it was the crowd, but Adam sounds at home here so much more than on stage at Jimmy's club in Vegas. Josh Wolf and Michael Yo are fantastic as guests on the podcast, but they didn't play support well at the venue. Lachlan is a great guest. I hope he becomes a regular.
Didn't sound like he was at home to me.. Felt like he bombed a bit and had a semi-hostile crowd, but you are right that Wolf and Yo did not have his back whatsoever. I would not be surprised if we don't see Michael Yo back on the show.
I love Adam’s comedy but his stand up shows not so much, other than stand up he is the funniest and most intelligent human in our solar system

I was an Engineer at Lockheed Martin for 20 years there on Mathilda next to Moffett Field. Hired in around 79 or so. In those days Sunnyvale was not so bad though I lived in Los Gatos. Apple didn't get started there until my last few years in the area. I hear the traffic now all around Sunnyvale, San Jose etc is Insane!

Assuming a person had hair long enough to dip into a container of LN2. The LN2 would instantly freeze a wad of gum and make it as brittle as glass. I suppose you could then strike it with something and it would shatter into pieces falling free of the strands of hair? Maybe, but I'd have to see it happen to believe it. The strands of hair may also become just as brittle. In the Aerospace Industry LN2 is used to shrink parts that are required to have an intereferance fit to a mating part. Once they are back to room temp an oversize steel bushing is not coming out of an aluminum casting without being machined out.
Back in the day we used to play around with LN2 a bit. For example drop a live frog into it. Take frozen frog out and drop on concrete floor and watch it shatter into a million pieces.... lol, good times 🤣
