- Comedian Adam Yenser makes his ACS debut and they start the show by talking about doing clean comedy and his time working for Ellen DeGeneres. Also, comedian Jessica Keenan sits in to read the news and her & Ace compare their different styles of raising twins. Then they talk about how Adam went from working at Burger King to working for Conan O’Brien, and why Ace is pretty sure Conan doesn’t like him.
Next, Jessica reads the news including stories about Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s failed promotion for the U.S. Army, the growing number of drivers under the influence of cannabis, Bill Maher predicting a Taylor Swift/Travis Kelce breakup, and the link between “ultra-processed” foods and Alzheimer’s disease.
They wrap the show by playing the newest ACS game, “Reddit Or Forget It!”, where we read hateful comments about Adam and everyone guesses whether it’s a real comment from Reddit or a fake one written by Joe.

Definitely a pet peeve for me!! Too many podcasts do that without any consideration.
I think it's because they consider it a primarily audio based show. I also think the new producer is getting the hang of things. Adam has lost a ton of people over the last few years. Tons of legacy knowledge about producing the show has been lost probably. I think Dawson is the only one who's left who's been there since the beginning.
The reason service academies sports team aren't equal to other NCAA teams is because the military has height and weight standards that cadets and midshipman have to adhere to. In other words you can't be 6'3, 300lbs which is what every other team has fir their offensive and defensive lines. Just as an example, in the Army ( West Point) the tallest allowable height is 6'8. That sounds good however, the max weight is 247lbs. 6'8 and 247 might be OK fir basketball but that's a bean poke in football. Then as far as your backs and receivers go, those guys are recruited into colleges with NFL Dreams. They usually don't have the academic skills to get into ANY of the service academies.
Have to be smart and just a good all around person to get in too

I'd say you're half right.
I remember in Navy boot camp (1972), they had something called service week just before graduation. It was non-stop galley work without much sleep. I always thought that was to give us incentive to excel. No disrespect to the people who worked in the galley, but they treated us badly. That's probably changed. When i ended up in charge, i was tough, but I was respectful. While on the subject of the military, I think it would be helpful to have a two year mandatory service. It made a huge difference in my life. Of course, they would have to get some old school back in there. No participation trophys.

Problem with these Marijuana testing for nanograms is flawed. My dr told me I have so much in my system I couldnt pass less i quit for a week😳🤦♂️‼️ not to mention that someone has 0 tolerance is way different from an everyday smoker or consumer. The effects are wayyyy different. Therefore this isnt equal justice. It’s COMPLETELY DIFFERENT than alcohol!

I am a long time listener and used to give constructive criticism because I love the show. But the direction this show has gone lately has me entering the apathy stage. Never thought I would consider stop listening to the Aceman

Actually, right before COVID hit, they had another league starting, and I watched a few games, and if you're a big football fan, it was not bad, actually. I would watch another league during the NFL downtime if it were sort of comparable.

Said this since I discovered it a few years ago: Dry Bar Comedy is THE best standup comedy platform going. It also turns out that when you cant' do sick-out jizz comedy or the trick of really embarrasing jerk-off talk - you need to do a little better. Adam is funnier now that he does less of that. I mean really better stuff, better craftsmanship at Dry Bar.

Pot smokers don't speed like drunk drivers. People drove high when it was illegal and it's no different now.

Hi, yes they do but the reality is there is no world where we have potsmokers only and then the other people, those drinking people. For a decade I worked with Highway cops and in this particular province they had a series of legal twists (has to do with testing) but over and over and over again, the pot smokers is also drinking.
What they usually did was be well aware the driver was intoxicated by marijuana but instead go for the breathalyzer and alcohol 'bac' levels to get them off the road and charged.
I realize Reddit and the internet has told you that alcohol is like cocaine, it makes people violent, hyper, fast, rude and criminal. they wan to speeeeed yaaa VS Marijuana makes people 'cheech and chong' and they are actually more beautiful and graceful and peaceful and hehe.. they just drive mellow but wanna eat snacks. the munchiessss hah.
In real life, they routinely caught people high on weed and blasting way over speed limits, some are very aggressive, impulsive and fighty.
btw, even though, in real life a great number of impaired drivers are high on weed and alcohol (not the 'either/or' two distinct groups you imagined) but,
patrol will tell you one of THE absolute biggest giveaways to a drunk driver is.. driving too slow. lollygagging, being 'too chill', loafing along way below speed limits, taking corners way too slowly. This is a class sure sign they're about to find a sloppy limp alcohol impaired driver.
but keeping in mind, they will catch weed-only people speeding or too slow, they will catch alcohol-only people speeding or too slow.
One of the worst accidents was a car full of teenagers and a driver highly impaired on marijuana-only. He was doing the maximum speed limit for the road in ideal weather conditions. The problem is that there was a brutal storm coming off the ocean that was flipping trucks. The driver and the passengers, while in recovery and in retrospect, the ones that survived, the agreed they did feel the wind absolutely moving that car and the harsh sounds of wind shaking the windows BUT said they were so ripped and 'peaking' from wicked powerful weed they believe it was the weird wild high hitting them.. though none put it together or said anything until they were promptly blown off road and stopped by a massive tree.

Even though Gina and Bald Brian had different political points of view, they made the structure of a show listenable. Many listeners had a beef with Gina , but now there's more blow back with all rhe listeners. As it always happens, people start acting their age, Adam is showing his age at time's.
I always said I would never work out in regular clothes. Now I'm 54 and work out in regular clothes. The aging thing gets us all. I do refuse to tuck my t shirts in with a skinny belt though. That's probably gonna happen someday too though
