As an engineer i feel qualified enough to explain that glass breaking. That break pattern is common in ceramic and glass materials especially if there is a change in temperature. Wine glasses are specifically designed with temperature in mind, the stem is meant to be held so that the warmth of your hand doesnt change the temperature and flavor of the wine. If you drink chilled wine in a hot bath, and steam hits the glass where it is thin, this is exactly the type of fracture i would expect to see.

Thank you! I was going to say the same if someone else hadn't. Especially since she exaggerated a bit on the "laser straight cut". It was far from a straight cut and look exactly how glass looks when it cracks from temp changes.
The "dark hand" was more than likely a combination of her starting to be under the influence of the alcohol she was drinking and the steam from the bath looking "hand-like" or shaped as it travels upwards.

I've often wondered how Tosh has kind of "disappeared" on us and it seems like he kind of hates doing this. Which makes him endearing as hell.
