"We're just a couple of humans now"
Idk, they beat the shit out of one another in the most nonhuman way ever lmao
Well, in the world of Tekken, Mishima style karate pretty much granted its practitioners the ability to perform nonhuman feats, such as lightning-based attacks or punching through solid concrete. So yeah...
I mean, Heihachi was literally a normal human who can go toe-to-toe with both Kazumi and Kazuya, who are devil gene carriers.
The mishimas are basically raijin's(Japan's lightning god)descendants. If you've seen the opening, you'll see raijin confronting men wearing the mishima zaibatsu logo in ancient japan
@@axceljulio5747Heihachi also walked off Akuma's Raging Demon, which is supposed to kill people with the weight of their sins. Heihachi only got knocked out because he tried uppercutting a hadouken lmao
@@axceljulio5747practicing mishima style karate does not give someone the lightning chi, being of mishima blood does.
"I no longer hesitate to use the Mishima style."

@jamilahrazzaq8780 Kazuya: Shut up, fight NOW!!!
The moment Jin rearranged his gauntlet with the red lightning like in Tekken 3 and his theme starts kicking in, I shed a tear ngl
Definitely a BLAST FROM THE PAST ❤
That literally kicked me back to my childhood, I started cheering like crazy when I heard that after the iconic Jin glove pose.
That moment sent me straight back into my old Living room from when I was 5.....God it's been so long
Kazuya gonna be mad asf cuz he gotta walk back to G CORP instead of flying. 😂
He’ll be kinda busy in Jun’s tiny little camping tent if the ending is anything to go by 👀
He didn’t lose his devil form Jin has the mark still
@@NECROMAGICIAN666 and then Reina.
Think Jin just repressed it.
Now say that in normal English, black “person”
@@SammyTWTEww, a bot
I love how when Jin says they're just a couple of human's now Kazuya is just like "So what? It was just a means to an end, I don't need it." That's badass and puts to bed any theories that Devil influenced and corrupted Kazuya. It was all Kazuya.
Yeah Harada seemed hellbent on making Kazuya irredeemably evil.
Yet he’s trying to twist his favorite Heihachi into some misunderstood hero.
They’re both evil, but Kazuya was the one who was once at a point he could be saved. It’s a shame they rewrote the history to switch that around
@@TREVORVADERHarada made it more clear in the supposed bad ending, even if you can tell Kaz walked away after knocking Jin out despite knowing he's alive.
Not really, Kazuya's Tekken 5 ending heavily debunks the idea that Kazuya is just straight up evil, if it's not what Kazuya would have actually done in that ending then the ending shouldn't be in the game, we see Kazuya clearly show remorse towards Jinpachi, he clearly didn't want to kill his grandfather.
Soon after that though you see his red eye glow and then he kills Jinpachi mercilessly.
If that's not a hint that the devil gene was the cause then I don't know what is.
Devil did corrupt him a little. It strengthened his negative emotions
@@OneBoredCatbug I'm not saying he doesn't have the capability to do good, he always has. His grandfather was the only one who treated him well, that's why he had remorse. He killed him out of mercy there was no way to save Jinpachi. Everything else he's done that's evil is his own choice. Even Heihachi had a capacity for good but he chose his ambition over it just like Kazuya, which is ironic in it's own way.
I really loved when Jin asked Jun if he can even desire life. He bears so much guilt from his past actions and thinks that the only way he can atone is through his death. But Jun tells him that his death also affects those he wants to protect, and that he shouldnt always put himself second. Jin finally deciding to LIVE for the people that matter and to accept his past actions to move forward were really well done
The Golden Hawaiian Swordsman Dragon HIGHLY AGREES!!! After all that he's done, Jin has accepted his mistakes and is finally moving on with his life!!! And THAT'S awesome!!!
that scene actually gave me goosebumps
@@TheGoldenHawaiianSwordsmanDragI dunno man. Starting WW3 is pretty unforgivable lol
Jin should realize that death is not atonement. Choosing death would just leave the people that he had harmed to pick up the pieces themselves, that's no different from turning away from his own sins. By accepting to live carrying his sins, Jin can now truly atone for what he had done by doing good things. Whether he is forgiven or not, well, that's not for us to decide.
Yes but Jin was the reason WW3 started and killed many people, so the bullcrap like "you have to protect your close people, and move on" is definitely bullshit, it's like ok you killed many people but life goes on and you aren't going to be punished 😂... Tekken just tryhards so much to make Jin the good guy
Can you believe canonically the first and only time these two ever fought before was in Tekken 4. In 2001. TWENTY THREE YEARS AGO!?
Ikrrr. Another crazy thing is tekken 4 was about a year ago when tekken 8 takes place
More proof that time is so inconsistent
@anthonym9977 dude the time offset is so insane I felt like the ending of Interstellar where the daughter died of old age while the dad was still young
@@cyyunga2703Well let's be honest, it only being a year is just a means to bring Jun back and have it make sense why she's not an old woman
No? If you played tekken 8 and saw the hidden cutscene Jun fought ogre and was badly wounded and she passed out on top of an altar in yakushima where the holy grounds essentially caused her to hibernate for 4-8 years.@@xenogen372
I like that we see in this deep down the motivations of Kazuya. He has an uncontrollable desire to prove that no one can hold him back. A hate for authority likely stemming from his trauma when Heihachi killed his mother and he couldn't do anything. In Kazuya's world, the only way to live free is to fight.
That, and for him, freedom cannot exist without domination. Coexisting with others to him is the same as letting them hold you back.
Buddy all the way f---ed up.... And he's my main in T8. 😆@@MrGksarathy
That’s where I feel like the hesitation at 7:16 hits home. Jin might be the reason the devil’s power was divvied up in T3 and T4, but even Kazuya believes that the Gene was a means to an end. Aside from that, Jin’s as much of a victim of the Mishima curse as him. If he hadn’t been dragged in, he would’ve likely minded his own business and stayed with Jun.
A crack in the hard shell he fronts. I wish it had more nuance to it before and after, but perhaps this was a setup for Tekken 9, or story DLC.
@@user-ou5ls2xc7v honestly, it reminds me that if it wasn't for Heihachi killing him in 2, Jun likely would have allowed him to take control of the Devil the way Jin does.
Heihachi is the original sin of Tekken, the victor Frankenstein, and Kazuya is his monster.
He had trauma but it creates a standard villain motive of being power hungry and wanting to rule the world. To not feel powerless due to said trauma again.
Any other villain would've been in a mental breakdown once they lost their powers but not kazuya, he was just like
"So what if i lost my devil gene?? I still got these fist"
This fight made him the most gigachad character in tekken
Ikr, I'm surprised and happy they didn't made Kazuya go through that trope since he's still willing to fight his way without the devil gene
@@delinquentlord581 that's why he's the goat 👍👍
It makes his ending a bit more ridiculous as now that he’s just a mere man, he’s kind of fucked now as a result of everyone and anyone now able to put a bullet in him for all the atrocities he’s committed.

7:11 Oh wow, a glimpse of Kazuya's humanity. He hesitated for a moment!
Jin does resemble Jun... and I bet Kazuya pulled his punch there, which is the same one that killed Heihachi
Probably a coincidence
But the sweat/rain drop that goes trough his face seems like a tear drop
Kinda showing that REALLY REALLY deep down, he still loves his son in a way
Well the father who can destroy planet can show his love by showed his son how much he can fight toe to toe by make his son sandbag
Even though many may say otherwise there is no doubt that Kazuya "deep down" has a part of him it's still good, let's not forget that the character Angel is supposed to represent Kazuya's good side, the point is that he has gone too far now to allow himself to stop now. though still the fact that he throws Jin off the cliff in his own ending makes me seriously doubt it 😅
@@MASTERSOT I don't think that ending is canon, rather feeding to the trope. When he believed he won in the canon ending, he walked away and left jin there. It's only when Jin got up, Kazuya was surprised. Kazuya canonically never had the intention of throwing Jin off the cliff.
Afterwards Kazuya states that “Your refusal to quit is almost admirable”. Goes to show he has grown to respect Jin
I love how they still wearing the pants from their outfits instead of their normal karate pants
Those Karate outfits had a great redesign, why they never wore them in the story is a waste.

I love how Tekken is basically "Street Fighter but sometimes Devil May Cry and sometimes Metal Gear Solid".
That is why it's my favorite Fighting game series.
"No longer will I deny my past."
I hope in the next game they'll show Jin trying to rectify the consequences of his choices throughout the past games, while also potentially passing the torch to a new protagonist.
We really need one because although Jin has completed his redemption, it doesn't automatically absolve his guilt and undo the damages left behind. He's ruined his own integrity as a protagonist. Not to mention that he seems to have lost the Devil Gene, which was a huge part of his story.
Lars was obviously designed for this, but I guess he wasn't received well enough to completely replace Jin.
I think they gonna have a kid Jin and Xiao kazuya gonna do a heihachi and some how Jin gonna be like his father some how
That's kind of why I want Jin to stay the protagonist for at least a little longer, just so we can get a deep dive into his journey of atonement towards the world at large, how he charts his own path without the Devil Gene, and how other named characters react to his turning over a new leaf.
We need Miguel to come back and haunt jin
I think it s about time we have kaz as a protagonist. Dıdnt happen ever since t1
7:15 Kazuya's face just tells me he didn't want it to have come to this
He sees himself in the kid. As much of a estranged family they may be, they still are and Kaz probably felt a bit of mercy
I just think he didn’t want to repeat a cycle he ended with the death of Heiachi
We never see kazuya directly attacking Jin ever if not to take back his powers which are a fraction of his technically freeing Jin from evil and a painful life
He just wanted to stay away his intentions were selfish but also very altruistic
This fight I feel like outdid the hiehachi and kazuya one from tekken 7. So much emotion and power here. The way the fight ended with scene where Jin and kazuya would clash in most tekken trailers is the cherry on top
Heihachi vs kazuya felt way more personal imo
@shot1897 agree plus it's was incredible seeing Old Heihachi despite past his prime defeat Devil Kazuya despite dying by him.
I agree
@@shot1897yeah I agree this lil beef is nothing compared to that and it honestly felt more epic..tbh I'm not even really sure why they're fighting aside from kazuya being pure evil.
@@Reed325 how i interpreted tekken 8 is that kazuya is simply fighting jin because he is the only threat to stop his ambitions to conquer the world (because jin possesses the devil gene too and kazuya wants to take jin’s half of the devil gene back because he lost it when jin was conceived), jin is fighting kazuya to make up for the destruction and pain he caused back in tekken 6 when he was leader of the zaibatsu
But for me heihachi vs kazuya will be the best rivalry in the franchise because to me it feels the most personal after all those years of both plotting revenge on each other from cliff and volcano throwing and this started when kazuya was only 5 years old after heihachi kills kazumi and imprisoned and starves jinpachi.
"A fight is about who is left standing. Nothing else!"

Jin is literally too op. He knew many fighting style.
He's the new Lei Wulong.
3 style's of karate in tekken, plus electric ,devil and purification powers, yeah, basically god mode
Jin knew multiple fighting styles but wasn't a master of them. For example, while he knew Mishima style, he's not a master of it like Heihachi nor as proficient at it like Kazuya. Similarly to his Kazama style not being a master of it on the level of Jun. Now while he's not a master of them but the benefit is throwing his opponent off because it can make him unpredictable.
Well, he literally trained with three different styles at certain points of his life. Kazama martial arts from his mother, Mishima style karate from Heihachi and Kyoukushin karate that he learned himself.
@@syzorst Yep. Having three different fighting styles makes you a wild card to your opponents.

from 11:15 to 11:28 seems like Kazuya is struggling to not cry. even at 11:27 it's like he's cleaning his tears out of anger.
That’s one thing I love about this fight and some moments in T7.
Kazuya is fed the fuck up!
I love that they added the detail about how the devil gene is amplified by the user’s desires. It took Jin truly accepting who he is and what he really wants to take him down.
2:46 Kazuya looked actually impressed there. Interesting.
7:16 he hesitated, he is not going to be his father
After beating him he just walks away instead of finishing him, he could have done it but he just walked away despite Jin wanting to kill, he took away his devil form too he had no reason to letting him live but he did it he is clearly holding back for his son but he wants to beat him anyway maybe to make him stay away from all of this.
He surely doesn’t care as he should after all kazuya feels like he is just another family member trying to kill him but that hesitation and that expression feels like he didn’t want to go all in.
I also think that their devil forms will come back and they’re just stunned because of each other powers, maybe kazuya wanted it maybe to get rid of azazel.
We surely know that is genetic and you cannot delete genes in a fist fight, we can see Jin still having the mark.
I feel like they should have fell together allowing them to bond the first time, it’s sad to wait another gazzilion here to see what Jun will do, also her son risked his life multiple times what she was doing? Guarding a forest?
Jin didn’t want to kill Kazuya in this bout as he was following his mother’s desire to save Kazuya, partially as he left Kazuya where he laid. He only wanted to incapacitate him to get him to stop. From Kazuya’s perspective he probably would’ve killed Jin by way of cliff as he does in the non canon ending, with him walking away it’s hard to tell but he probably thought he killed Jin, leading him to quote Heihachi as he did in Tekken 7 after killing Heihachi.
@@NhBlekerKaz certainly doesn't try and land a kill shot on Jin the way he did with Heihachi. It was a strong shot against the rock but it wasn't a massive charge up like he did with Heihachi.
“I… I WANT TO LIVE!!”
Jin shouts as he proceeds to smack the shit out of his dad
If you noticed if you think about it, the lighting storms could represent past generations of the Mishima faimly, likely serving as the spiritual referee with the lighting that stroke between Jin and Kazuya telling them to fight. That's awsomely significant.
Or even their godly patron Susano'o.
Well, either way, it a really a true Mishima fight. No devil powers, just fist and foot, the way it should be. It’s like a revival of the old traditions with both Father and Son proving their worth of their heritage, yet victory would decide who will carry the torch.
You know what I find funny about this? In Tekken 4 Jin pretty effortlessly defeats Kazuya without using the devil gene and only using karate.
In Tekken 8 all of a sudden when they both lose their devil powers it's made pretty clear that Kazuya has the edge.
I don't know what happened in the 2 or 3 years between Tekken 4 and Tekken 8 but either Jin was slacking off despite somehow keeping his muscular build, or Kazuya has just improved that much somehow.
Kazuya was an absolute beast in this story mode he even dominated azazel where jin technically faught him to a draw in tekken 6
Tekken 4 was their first time fighting each other and who knows what Kazuya was like fighting shape wise because he had lost to Heihachi prior to that.
@@trellwhitehurst6670 I won't deny that Kazuya was probably a lot weaker in Tekken 4 but Jin was also clearly exhausted and in pretty bad shape for that fight yet he still goes on to win against both Kazuya and Heihachi.
Kazuya I understand but Heihachi as well? Jin must have been at least tired after the first fight on top of already waking up exhausted to start with.
Also in Tekken 2 it's made clear that Kazuya was still training and keeping up the grind, despite Kazuya being more powerful than he would have been in Tekken 1 Heihachi manages to win.
After Tekken 4 Heihachi then goes on to lose every fight he participates in until Tekken 7 when he wins a few times but still loses to Kazuya.
All I'm saying is: most of the time characters just get more powerful out of nowhere in Tekken, it doesn't ruin the games or the story for me but it's just funny.

Those type of pants on Kazuya does give me the Yakuza Vibes
I mean his name is an anagram of Yakuza
Has anyone noticed that despite initially stating, "if you stand before me, you die. doesn't matter who you are," Kazuya's rhetoric shifted to "anyone who tries to dictate how I live will suffer for their transgressions!"? I believe this change signifies Kazuya's release from long-standing mental domination by the Devil Gene, regaining his human emotions while engaging in hand-to-hand combat with Jin immediately after losing their Devil powers.
Additionally, I theorize that Kazuya, seeing his own relentless confrontations with Heihachi mirrored in his son Jin, and simultaneously feeling a stir of parental emotion, was unable to deliver a decisive blow to Jin. This is further supported by a later line where he acknowledges his son for the first time, suggesting a significant emotional shift.
Undoubtedly, if the Devil had remained in Kazuya, Jin would have been defeated.
or the fact kazuya doesn't hate Jin necessarily he is just an obstacle in the way....unlike heihachi who he detested to his core.
Kazuya's language also radically changes, he tries to intimidate instead of directly saying he's going to kill him. "If you stand before me, you die" is different from Kaz dialogue constantly being "it's time for you to meet your end!" or "shine!!!".
For somebody who is supposed to be trying to kill Jin, he constantly holds back from delivering killing blows, instead he lands incapacitating shots and tries to disarm Jin and get him to quit. No charge up kill shots, no screaming about killing or vengeance, only "bro I already won bro stop fighting please"
This is my first tekken game. This fight and the soundtrack gave me unbelievable levels of hype.
I have been in a bad headspace for a while and not gonna lie, this ending when he realises he will live on with his sins and and does still deserve and desires to live really had me emotional. When he yelled "I Want To Live", i immediately paused it cause it really inspired me. I know ill get memed on this but idk. Its how i felt.
If Jin is gonna hold true to his word that he will no longer restrain his martial skills, then his version in TK9 will be quite the sight to behold. A version of Jin who is comfortable in using his entire arsenal, from Mishima to Kazama to Kyokushin styles.

My Last stand is the name if u dont know
Song is badass
Mishima Style - Straightforward techniques, focuses on overpowering the opponent with brutal efficiency. Very aggressive hard style.
Kazama Style - Graceful techniques that looks like a dance, possibly to throw off enemies with their unusual movements. Heavy focus on defense, hence its multiple parry and counter techniques, and a lot of evasive moves. A passive soft style.
Together with his Karate, Jin, after accepting himself and all his parts, probably has the best arsenal of techniques, the perfect balance between offense and defense. Overwhelming power plus overwhelming technique.

Kazuya's proud father moment
For me this is the best part in Tekken 8 if not the entire franchise
Jin’s story really inspired me. I love that he breaks free and embraces his angel side. Everyone has that battle between the good and evil version of themselves. Always listen to the Angel on your shoulder. Hope y’all all have a blessed day
Jin started ww3 and killed untold millions
@@jaykelley103 understandable but he did it to azazel which was big threat to the world. But Jin regrets it everyday.
Legendary ending
Tekken 8 healed my trauma i got from mk1.
Hands down to this game. One of the best in the franchise ever.
Why what was the trauma from mk1?
For me, kazuya is like vegeta he will have a redemption arc with jun.
All them bodies
@@papaadot9369yoo kurama is back
Power of friendship always wins
The power of love always wins. That's the thing that drives relationships to evolve. Their love for each other
Jin's friends are his power.
Not every time though.
Well, Yeah. But in this case, more like pure adrenaline.
If you play Bully, The Law always wins. 😂
" *No pain, No gain!* "
- *Bronze trophy*
The Dove 🕊️
In the end was Jun flying to Kazuya to heal Him.
Tekken 9 will be Kazuya redemption and we have come officially full circle.
I like how they had Jin utilize Kyokushin Karate, Mishima Karate, and Kazama Karate and use a combination of all three in the final part of the fight. JIn is probably going to open up a dojo and create his own Karate style in Tekken 9.
Fun fact: Kazuyas fighting style is based on Shotokan Karate and Heihachi's and Reinas fighting style is based on Gōjū-ryū Karate
it would be great if jin and kazuya were changed
This will happen in Tekken: Bloodline Final Season.
HAHAHAHAHAHA
You do realise that garbage series was non canon always and after Tekken 8 it was confirmed it was completely non canon
Fk the anime,Tekken should look like Tekken.
They just copied some of the fighting choreography, the anime is Netflix, not real Tekken
They better remake the old stories in Tekken 8 graphics and engine
@@newhybrid101If they don't give us a story dlc, I would be down for a movie like Blood Vengeance with Tekken 8 story graphics.
No devil gene just a test of skill, resilience, determination to see who will become victorious! 👊
THIS is THE LAST estranged father vs son karate battle in the Tekken series, folks!!
Not unless they have Jin a father and then his son turns on him
For now at least, Jin and Kazuya could always still go at it if they ever cross paths with each other again.
kind glad its getting played out for me at least....this dragged on a bit to long and after heihachi died just doesn't have the same kick or venom behind it.
And why did 2 human being duking it out feels way more epic than the anime battle earlier ?
Its more pure this way. Just sheer brawn and might to win the fight, really gives a sense of purity
@@drbladerz5530my favorite kind of fights. Goku, Frieza, and 17 vs Jiren and FFXIV WoL vs Zeno at the end of Endwalker are perfect examples.
Best fighting game final battle of all time! That Stance switch to T3 Jin and then to T2 Jun with their theme remixes...oh god!

"If you stand before me you die.... doesn't matter who u r"
The guy who wrote this dialogue deserves a raise.
Kazuya's hatred of Heihachi was personal but he never disagreed with his principles. He became an even more fervent follower of his social darwinist philosophy.
This god damn story was so rewarding. Probably my favorite story mode in any fighting game. It delivered exactly on what was intended. The execution was just so top notch! It's going to be interesting to see how things go forward. Kazuya/Vegeta redemption story is going to be LIT!!!!
Destroying the devil gene is sooo cool well done Jin 😢❤
Devil gene is still in Jin,s body because after fight still devil tatto appears in Jin,s shoulder
3:14 I believe they kept it just to recreate this iconic pose, plus it doesn’t disappear like the other parts so maybe it’s just a mark that stayed with him
The flashbacks at 7:42 had me crying bro it was the damn music aswell😭
Cpu kazuya starting do godlike wave dash after my last stand starts playin has to be the most terrifying thing ever
Dunno what happened but it’s like the Tekken team did a 180 on their storytelling abilities in this game.
Didn’t really care after Tekken 4 but this one reeled me back in
Completely agree. T5 to 7 were very lackluster. But this story was engaging the whole way through and a more satisfying end to Jin's journey than I could have come up with.
Was certainly better than T7, although dialogue was pretty cookie cutter for most of the game. The Jin and Kaz fights have the most going on, but for an anime game they could have benefitted from a break in the fighting to give us a concrete picture of the characters. Instead we have to look at breadcrumbs and try to spin deeper meaning out of them.
Still better than T7 though where Kaz and Hei have zero meaningful lines with each other. There is no resolution between the two on the betrayal and killing of Kazumi, that's the biggest thing for me. Did Kaz even know why Hei had to kill her? Did Hei keep information from him? Where did Kaz go after being thrown down the cliff? We got nothing out of that story besides them sitting in front of computer monitors.
The Reina I thought was not needed. This ending would've been perfect.
Nah she is needed jin and kazuya will get played out eventually...esp with heihachi gone
@@CAM8689 plus Jun is back as she's seen at the end. Tekken 9 will be Jun vs Reina.
As a fan of Tekken since T4,im so happy with the story mode in this game.
Im not even a big fan of Jin but this game was needed to right the wrongs done to his character since t3 ended.
Im not a big fan of the overdesigned Devil designs,so i was very happy that they "punched out" all the devil Gene/magic aspects and it ended in a brutal 1v1 duel between Kazuya and Jin.
Maybe its cuz T4 was my first game in the series, but Kazuya has grown into one of my favorite villians in Gaming.
Dude lost the Devil powers and said "So? That aint been nothing to me besides and extension of my power."
My favorite moment is when Jin is having Flashbacks and you see Devil Jin fading Away, his Mother's warmth and Guidance, but the one that a really got me is when Ling's face appeared.
Ling had kept her faith in Jin longer than anyone, and all Jin wanted to do was Live to see a Life with Ling Possible and that brought tears to my eyes.
3:11 omg!!! that Tekken 3 reference gave me goosebumps.
And then the T3 music played, I geeked out even further.
The best fight of all Tekken 😍😍😍
Yes after 11 Rounds finally Jin defeat Kazuya ❤
13:09 BANDAI NAMCO Presents...
Jin Kazama is the best fighter and also king in Tekken. In fight, he used his own, Jun Kazama's and Heihachi Mishima's fighting style. 💯
Ending turned into Persona pretty quick. All that bond and friendship talk
A lot of Japanese medias used the power of friendship trope pretty often.
There's really nothing wrong with that. Fighting for the sake of others is a pretty basic way of strengthening your resolve. It's actually refreshing in a series where hatred is usually the source of one's resolve.
Eh. Fair. Atleast it didn't actually make him stronger. But just made him get up.
The part where he accepted Devil Jin was straight Persona 4
Their shoes is the strongest of all
11:12 epic
Jin is ripped
Jin Shredzama
7:04 he hit him with that Zeus treatment.
Bruh if I was kazuya by the third fighting stance I would’ve said: “You got it”, I would’ve been tired of getting my ass whooped 😂
The OG Jin Kazama theme from Tekken 3 into a remix love it 😎
