21:31 This moment of seeming hesitation from Kazuya here interests me. Like he's doubting his world view, even if for a small instance. Why? Does his beaten and exhausted son remind him of himself when he was younger against Heihachi? Is he pondering for a moment that maybe he's become just like his father? Prior to this game's release, I was fully of the belief that Kazuya is a hopeless monster through and through. But the fact that the returning Jun Kazama, a woman of strong moral integrity and purity, appears to hold genuine romantic affection for Kaz has me rethinking that. While I do believe still that Kazuya has undoubtedly been evil since Tekken 1, maybe there's more to him than that? Maybe there's still a good person in him buried under all the hatred, vengeance, power hunger, and ambition. How else could Jun fall in love with such a menace? This fight definitely reinforced it for me. The dialogue gives us a deeper dive into Kazuya's motivations and character more than any other Tekken ever has. "Anyone who tries to dictate how I live... Will suffer for their transgressions!" This is the first time Kazuya has ever expressed how he views himself and his actions. It's sounds almost like he sees himself as *righteous,* here. An oppressed rebel, refusing to yield against the expectations and demands of an unfair world. Is his desire for world domination more than just stereotypical bad guy bravado, and a way for him to lash out against the world for the pain he's suffered? I know I'm being corny and dramatic, haha, but I'm a huge Kazuya fan; however, I've always been one who loves him for being a ruthless dominator, a subversion of the heroic shoto protagonist cliche. A gruff and tough menace who makes a spectacle out of his maliciousness and ferocity. So I never expected Tekken 8, or any Tekken for that matter, to reveal his more human side, which this fight does. This is where it gets more head-canon-y, but I also feel that Kazuya's frustration with Jin in this fight comes from more than just him resisting. Again, in the timestamp I placed at the start of this comment, Kazuya looks to be questioning himself. It's possible that comes from witnessing Jin, his son, who comes from a tragic background akin to his own, responding to his pain in a manner completely different from how Kazuya did. Unlike Kazuya, who used the pain and trauma from his past with Heihachi to grow into a monster surpassing the ruthlessness and cruelty of his father, Jin instead leaned on the friendships and alliances he's made to push himself to get stronger, and fight for more than just power and domination. To fight for a future for himself and his friends. To be part of something bigger; as opposed to Kazuya, who has always been alone, and only ever fought for himself. The moment where Kazuya has Jin pinned against the wall seems to be him reassuring himself that *his way* is the right way. Obviously, Jin proves him wrong. Jin represents what Kazuya could have been had he followed the light, and that both infuriates and confuses him. Or... Maybe Tekken is a bunch of hokey nonsense that really serves no other purpose than to provide an excuse for shredded Japanese men to punch eachother. 😅 Either way, this was awesome. Whoever actually read all this, thanks for coming to my TED talk, lol.
Kazuya became exactly like Heihachi by the end of T7. And I think he started realizing it part way through the campaign. You're right that Kazuya's supervillainy is just a way for him to lash out at the world for hurting him, and to prove that he's overcome what Heihachi put him through as a kid. But the old man keeps showing up no matter what, in Lars, Reina, Jin, etc. It's the one thing that keeps setting him off. And Kazuya won't move on because deep down he's still that scared kid fighting desperately against his overmatched father.
Everyone in the comment talks about shounen animes but no one noticed the "JOJO part 2 Battle Tendency" Reference especially when they blew up into Space by a volcanic eruption.
Pretty sure JoJo itself is a shonen anime Also, nobody is talking about the amount of Devilman allusions. Like they weren’t hiding that shit with Kazuya design resembling Amon
21:31 that hesitation…Kazuya showed some sign of humanity. Haven’t seen that since his Tekken 5 ending (not canon of course but still). I think a part of him is proud of who he’s become. Even after he thought he won, he was going to leave him there. Tekken 9, I think we are getting Tekken 1-2 Kazuya again! *fingers crossed

Jin Kazama surpassed himself and became the great hero he deserves to be.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐The most epic, badass and impressive story of fighting games. Impressive from start to finish, excellent development and evolution of characters. One of the best and most unbeatable movies I have ever seen.
Kazuya probally not dead, because jin didnt want have same path with mishima anymore. So instead he kill him, he just leave him no more blood between father and son, he already prove that he more powerful than his father. So if kazuya try again do something evil he will no match againts him. But still kazuya fate still uknown because in hidden ending we saw someone appear in front of kazuya body. I hope if there is a chance kazuya comeback, i hope it will become redemption arc for him
he has rescued by Jun, so it is possible for a probable redemption and reparation between him and his son, considering that this is what Jun always wanted.
We who have witnessed this don't just witness for ourselves but for those along the way who couldn't get the chance Rip those players that didn't make it
bro when the camera focused on jin when he did the tekken 3 intro pose, i lost it. it was so good! especially with the t2 music behind it! plus we got to play with somewhat of the t3 moveset!
Tell me everything you want, I'll always think Kazuya is the best Tekken's character, and one of the best in general. He's too damn well designed and voiced. Period.
23:22 starts what I believe is the most epic sequence ever. Jin, after all of his struggles now says he won't deny his past and wants to live. An awesome statement for someone who has been suicidal since the fourth Tekken. Plus the song is EPIC and fits PERFECTLY.
Here my oppinion : 1. Jin and devil jin bond similiar to ichigo and zangetsu 2. Angel jin looks like saint seiya character 3. Jin finally use mishima and kazama martial arts 4. Jin rage arts evolve to punch and rider kick 5. Devil reina appear
Well, at least Jin got the happy ending I hoped he got. despite him causing a war, all so he can draw out and hunt demons to extinction at cause of innocent, I can understand him. A bastard father and grandfather, your loving mom being devoured by a monster from Aztec mythos, can make a man go mad, but his redemption story did circled around his dad a demonic heritage, so truly understandable.
While I like it from a lore perspective, I never could get the hang of Jin's playstyle from 4 onwards, so the return of "TEKKEN 3 Jin" in the final battle was hype as hell to me... hopefully he becomes fully playable in a DLC or patch.
im gonna be real I've never really interacted with anything related to tekken but that scene of jin and his mither alone has made me want to get into the series. It may sound weird but one of my favourite things about fighting games is the story in them. Blazblue, and guilty gear most notably.
What I love is that kazuya and jin are literally two sides of the same coin. The opposite, the exact reflection of each other, jin is the angel, kazuya is the devil, kazuya can't let go of the past and accept himself, jin accepts himself and looks to the future. And cares for the people around him. I feel for kazuya for sure.. and I think he could have killed jin but held back, he is evil but definitely broken too, each game my respect for each of the characters just go further. I hated heihachi but in tekken 7 I absolutely fell in love with the character. And he went out like an absolute chad. Also kazuya was always my favorite tekken character, He is the main character of tekken in my opinion. And in this game I absolutely shed a tear at jin's character development. jin is weaker than kazuya.. he was defeated time again, because he couldn't let go of his past. But here, jin finally accepted himself for who he is, and had a purpose in life now. Basically went through the whole kratos arc. That's how he was able to defeat kazuya, by the power of hope and purification
There is actually a Bad Ending too. That one is the Good Ending. If Jin dies at the ending, Kazuya wins and he throws Jin off the cliff and he rules the world
Callback to what Heihachi did to Kazuya all the way back in Tekken 1. It’s hard to believe that all this pain and suffering started because of one man’s fear and greed.
This man Jin really beat the devil out of Kazuya... that said the Lazuya ending was actually my favorite mainly because obviously Jin would have survived being tossed off the cliff, Kazuya doing that to me was more of a symbolic yet petty rebuttal to Jin's comment of surviving acknowledging he accepts him surviving but at the end of the day he isnt the one left standing. I dont think Kazuya is dies in Jin's ending, I dont see Jin finishing him off nor do I really see the series killing him off. Kazuya and Jin are the main characters of the series after all.
Can we all just talk about for a second how in the hell Jin survived that punch from Kazuya at 21:37? That was like the punch of all punches. And I thought the punch that killed Heihachi and stopped his heart was crazy............ Jin must be the most resilient person in the world to survive that whole onslaught. God damn tank that man was. I think the realization to Kazuya that those punches didn't put Jin down was the real moment he was defeated.............and I don't blame him. It's like "Is that all you got.......................yea...............yea that's all I got".....
Now that Kazuya is freed from his powers, maybe now he can begin to see the light. Jin spared him, he beat Kazuya but he didn't kill him. Which makes me think that Kazuya has a second chance at redemption and if there's any good path for a character it's DEFINITELY a journey to redemption. Jin has finally been freed from his curse. Throughout the Tekken story, he's been fighting endlessly and tirelessly to try and find a way out. Now that he has found his exit into a new beginning, a fresh start in life...one must wonder: What DOES fate have in store for our hero??
@@oprofeta6408 EXACTLY!!! I would love it if in Tekken 9 we get a "Father-Son" Team up in the story to battle Reina (seeing as she may be the next villain.) It's an awesome way to tell a fighting game history through anime traits. I always thought this should happen to Jago vs Gargos on Killer Instinct when Jago transcend his own tiger spirit. Tekken 8 is a good game for sure.
Tekken 3 was when i first played jin and instantly he was my favourite character along with tekken being my favourite fighting game i played the older games waited for the newer games now just 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 nothing except bravoo the developers did.amazing
His transformation is not just the sign of the end of the power struggle he's having, but a new beginning for a better future for him and his friends. 😊
This fight shows exactly how much Jin has improved. For a very long time, he rejected the fact that the Mishima family and Devil Gene are a part of who he is. Thanks to the friends he’s made, he’s learned to own up to his mistakes and accept the Devil Gene not as a curse, but as something that could be used as a force for good. This new Angel form and Jin using both the Mishima and Kazama styles show that he’s not only overcome his demons, but has decided to use all his fighting skills to help others! I just hope this isn’t the last time we see Angel Jin!
When Jin asked Jun if he had the right to desire life, he looked and sounded like he's about to cry. Even when he accepted everything about himself, he still doesn't believe he had a purpose to live, a talk with his mother was all he really needed.
Man. I suck at fighting games but I always remember the Tekken arcade games as “the ones with the bear, Pinocchio, and the jaguar-head guy” Seems like the series has come a LONG way! Happy for long-time serious fans!
Reina is likely either a secret clone of Kazumi, or was concieved in a test tube using Kazumi’s DNA around 18-25 years before this game’s events. Maybe she even has some of Kazuya’s DNA as well. But she’s definitely not birthed from Kazumi womb, because Kazumi died when Kazuya was 5 and he’s 50 years old in this game.
THEY GENUINELY COOKED WITH THIS ENDING I’m glad Kazuya is in smash because if he wasn’t I would’ve never been into Tekken and I wouldn’t be seeing this absolutely peak ending

I enjoyed reading this! Definitely think you have a point about Kazuya.
My gut is telling me Kazuya's pause on Jin's beatdown had a meaning after all.
You get Kazuya.
Also he was leaving him alive After the beatdown
Kazuya became exactly like Heihachi by the end of T7. And I think he started realizing it part way through the campaign.
You're right that Kazuya's supervillainy is just a way for him to lash out at the world for hurting him, and to prove that he's overcome what Heihachi put him through as a kid. But the old man keeps showing up no matter what, in Lars, Reina, Jin, etc. It's the one thing that keeps setting him off.
And Kazuya won't move on because deep down he's still that scared kid fighting desperately against his overmatched father.

Brought me right back to when I was 10
Everyone in the comment talks about shounen animes but no one noticed the "JOJO part 2 Battle Tendency" Reference especially when they blew up into Space by a volcanic eruption.
Nah I peeped that too I was thinking the fight with Kars bro
I catch the reference too
Yeah, I wanna say that too
Jojo Bizarre Adventure: TEKKEN 8 EDITION?
Pretty sure JoJo itself is a shonen anime
Also, nobody is talking about the amount of Devilman allusions. Like they weren’t hiding that shit with Kazuya design resembling Amon
No matter how Jin always say his mother, kazuya never once lambast him or say his mother is weak.
Maybe a grandchild for him too in Tekken 9 😏 (child of xiaoyu and jin maybe)
"THOR!"-Kazuya? I hope so 😎
Its not hesitation lol stop reading too much into it

OMG! DID ANYBODY CATCH THIS TOO? Around 18:25 you can hear Tekken 5's Devil Within main theme. Such splendid detail, I can't believe how well they're keeping the series spirit and respecting it
Original track was Jin Theme from Tekken 3
Bro… Jun’s stance looks so good on Jin.
I came for the cinematics i actually stayed for the fights. That was some good ass tekken
I'm a bit sad we didn't get to see Kazuya and Jun actually interact in the story, oh well maybe in future tekken games.
I'm praying that they give us a Story DLC, I don't wanna wait another 7 years for the next chapter

Shizuku Osaka also a big fan of Jin Kazama...

Amazingly cinematic final fight. Also, Angel Jin looks reminiscent of Final Fantasy's Warrior of Light.
He looks like kain from 4 to me lol

Yes the original WoL
Jin Kazama:
"No longer will I deny my past.
No longer will I deny my comrades and our bonds.
I... I WANT TO LIVE!"
Jin has finally learned to value his life.
Kazuya: (having finally lost his temper) "BREAK, DAMN YOU!"
The final battle between father and son.
Again 😂😂
The final battle between father and son part 2.
So in Tekken 9 is gonna be like the battle between Stepsis and Stepbro
@@1stioalNext will be brother vs sister, assuming Reina wants to kill Kazuya
Reina is gonna be the next villain for Tekken 9 💀💀💀
Kazuya probally not dead, because jin didnt want have same path with mishima anymore. So instead he kill him, he just leave him no more blood between father and son, he already prove that he more powerful than his father. So if kazuya try again do something evil he will no match againts him.
But still kazuya fate still uknown because in hidden ending we saw someone appear in front of kazuya body. I hope if there is a chance kazuya comeback, i hope it will become redemption arc for him

he has rescued by Jun, so it is possible for a probable redemption and reparation between him and his son, considering that this is what Jun always wanted.

Kazuyas death ball too. That was some generic Goku vs Cooler thing were he throws it back 😂
This epic fight was no more Tekken. He gives me a feeling of Final Fantasy.
It was giving me Dragon Ball vibes at some points.
We went from Tekken to Knights of the Zodiac and I love it. . .
OH MY GOD, HE IS BACK WITH HIS TEKKEN 3 MOVESET, LETS FUCKING GOOO
23:22 starts what I believe is the most epic sequence ever. Jin, after all of his struggles now says he won't deny his past and wants to live. An awesome statement for someone who has been suicidal since the fourth Tekken. Plus the song is EPIC and fits PERFECTLY.
This was absolutly outstanding
this story mode had so many shout outs to shounen anime. Mainly Naruto, Bleach and DBZ
Jjk as well with them opening dimension domains.
Lmao 💀 Kazuya literally pulled out Death Ball like he is Frieza and about to destroy the world 💀
Jojo part 2 with the flying rock they fight on
even klk 😂
Mostly Bleach, if we're being honest. Jin basically had his Hollow Ichigo arc and his The Blade is Me moment.
WOW WOW wow. The year just started and Tekken raised the bar of the best final boss fight to the moon and beyond 🤩🤩
14:22 a fight to the limit I love it
29:21 This is the scene I desperately wanted!
Here my oppinion :
1. Jin and devil jin bond similiar to ichigo and zangetsu
2. Angel jin looks like saint seiya character
3. Jin finally use mishima and kazama martial arts
4. Jin rage arts evolve to punch and rider kick
5. Devil reina appear
5:00
Bro became a Devil May Cry protagonist
Well, at least Jin got the happy ending I hoped he got. despite him causing a war, all so he can draw out and hunt demons to extinction at cause of innocent, I can understand him. A bastard father and grandfather, your loving mom being devoured by a monster from Aztec mythos, can make a man go mad, but his redemption story did circled around his dad a demonic heritage, so truly understandable.
*that's one long boss battle* 🥴😨
its a shounen battle so yeah lmao
This is basically SSJ Goku vs Frieza all over again but it’s Tekken style
For a fighting game yeah this is a pretty long fight
While I like it from a lore perspective, I never could get the hang of Jin's playstyle from 4 onwards, so the return of "TEKKEN 3 Jin" in the final battle was hype as hell to me... hopefully he becomes fully playable in a DLC or patch.
im gonna be real I've never really interacted with anything related to tekken but that scene of jin and his mither alone has made me want to get into the series. It may sound weird but one of my favourite things about fighting games is the story in them. Blazblue, and guilty gear most notably.
true, and Blazblue has the most confusing story in any fighting game ever and i still love them
Tekken was one of the it's story wise 😅 check out the video "the insane lore of Tekken"
And yet people will write "You want a good story from a fighting game?"
I never believed that jin will transform to an angel it means a lot tobus 90s kids so much i agree to foxrider 11
Finally!!! Everyone's Favorite Line *"We use the Power of Friendship!"*
14:00 is perfect for wallpaper
17:30 Or....THIS!!!
5:34 That form reminds me of Warrior of Light from Final Fantasy.
17:02 i know he hates jin but that smile was like he his proud of him
This man Jin really beat the devil out of Kazuya... that said the Lazuya ending was actually my favorite mainly because obviously Jin would have survived being tossed off the cliff, Kazuya doing that to me was more of a symbolic yet petty rebuttal to Jin's comment of surviving acknowledging he accepts him surviving but at the end of the day he isnt the one left standing.
Jin's transformation looks like a zodiac knight
Now that Kazuya is freed from his powers, maybe now he can begin to see the light. Jin spared him, he beat Kazuya but he didn't kill him. Which makes me think that Kazuya has a second chance at redemption and if there's any good path for a character it's DEFINITELY a journey to redemption.
Jin has finally been freed from his curse. Throughout the Tekken story, he's been fighting endlessly and tirelessly to try and find a way out. Now that he has found his exit into a new beginning, a fresh start in life...one must wonder:
What DOES fate have in store for our hero??
I think it's cool that Jin Spared Kazuya. He finally put a end in this cycle of "Son killing father".
He getting ready to fufill xiaoyus wish 😂
@@oprofeta6408 EXACTLY!!! I would love it if in Tekken 9 we get a "Father-Son" Team up in the story to battle Reina (seeing as she may be the next villain.) If even someone like me, who's only played Tekken 7 can tell the importance of Jin's theme and Mishima style pose YOU KNOW YOU'VE DONE SOMETHING GOOD
I love how jin gets his tekken 3 move set back . My favorite variant plus he has asukas and juns parry that’s broken lmao .

Shirrako, you're very good as Jin (Not only Human but also include both his Devil and Angel Forms)
I would like to see Angel Jin Render with 4K picture
As a No Player of Tekken, I don't any idea about this game. But, I must to say I'd enjoy all this final boss
Man when Jin twisted his wrist and his theme from T3 came on, I went crazy
The first hint that jin was turning to angel was in tekken 4. When a single white feather dropped as he left through the hon maru ceiling
At long last! I have dreamed of this fight from when I was a child.. and it didn't disappoint
Literally got goosebumps through entire story mode 😭 what a game tekken is ❤
“We’re nothing but a couple of humans now, you and I” bro you and daddy did a 15 foot jump in the air and have lightning coming out of your fists
Super humans 😅
Mishima Strength.
It's an awesome way to tell a fighting game history through anime traits. I always thought this should happen to Jago vs Gargos on Killer Instinct when Jago transcend his own tiger spirit. Tekken 8 is a good game for sure.
It's been years, we finally get Angel Jin
Never underestimate the power of friendship kazuya😂

His transformation is not just the sign of the end of the power struggle he's having, but a new beginning for a better future for him and his friends. 😊
Jin : i no longer hesitate to use mishima style
(Immediately chains EWGF)
bro was true to his words frame 1
This fight shows exactly how much Jin has improved. For a very long time, he rejected the fact that the Mishima family and Devil Gene are a part of who he is. Thanks to the friends he’s made, he’s learned to own up to his mistakes and accept the Devil Gene not as a curse, but as something that could be used as a force for good. This new Angel form and Jin using both the Mishima and Kazama styles show that he’s not only overcome his demons, but has decided to use all his fighting skills to help others! I just hope this isn’t the last time we see Angel Jin!
This is the first time I’ll say that unironically but this fight is actual PEAK fiction
I hope when Shirrako tried to adjust the audio volume, it was to make the BGM louder
Tekken 3 Jin theme hits different 🔥🔥🔥
I love how you can hear the Jun’s soundtrack from Tekken tag 2 when Jun talks to Jin
You weren’t a good man Kazuya, but you have conviction.
I understood that reference.
When Jin asked Jun if he had the right to desire life, he looked and sounded like he's about to cry. Even when he accepted everything about himself, he still doesn't believe he had a purpose to live, a talk with his mother was all he really needed.
the kazuya wave dash is something else😂
21:34 I dunno if he paused to take a breather, or if he actually hesitated, even for just a split second, in striking his son down.
When Jin theme start gave chill
Man. I suck at fighting games but I always remember the Tekken arcade games as “the ones with the bear, Pinocchio, and the jaguar-head guy” Seems like the series has come a LONG way! Happy for long-time serious fans!
6:15 hope fishes survived that energy ball
17:30 TEKKEN 3 REFERENCE AND HIS TEKKEN 3 SONG!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥😭😭
So Kaz wasn’t the only child of Heihachi and Kazumi.
Why does she look really young compared to Kaz lol
Different mom with a devil gene most likely
Lars is a Heihachi's son too.
@@AceBZbut in the other mother
Reina is likely either a secret clone of Kazumi, or was concieved in a test tube using Kazumi’s DNA around 18-25 years before this game’s events.
Maybe she even has some of Kazuya’s DNA as well. But she’s definitely not birthed from Kazumi womb, because Kazumi died when Kazuya was 5 and he’s 50 years old in this game.
Unless Heihachi managed to get another woman who happens to have the devil gene, aside from Kazumi, pregnant.
THEY GENUINELY COOKED WITH THIS ENDING
I’m glad Kazuya is in smash because if he wasn’t I would’ve never been into Tekken and I wouldn’t be seeing this absolutely peak ending
