I agree with all of this. It sucks that lego has so much that needs fixing. But still from time to time they do put out some fantastic sets
I also miss when they'd release UCS sets every few years, not every other month. It ruins the excitement for them, and it makes them not feel as rare

Seriously, it sounds like you would do what the current LEGO leadership doesn't: listen to the fans and implement feedback. I agree that LEGO should spread series out over multiple years. Just like they release a Modular, a Winter Village, an Advent Calendar, and a Lunar New Year animal set each year, they should release only one Hogwarts Moments and Marvel Mech per year. That increases the hype for each set, and almost guarantees that people will pick up every one, instead of only buying the best one.

They need to have voting each year for one classic set to bring back in an updated form. It would get people involved with voting for the set they may have missed out on or wished they had gotten for their childhood. It’s basically LEGO asking “which set would everyone pay us lots of $ for?”
I think given a pationate team of designers with a lot of freedom can make a new Bionicle that isn't heavily reliant on the old moulds.
Here is some of the most common threads I've seen through out the Bionicle community for a successful reboot I've seen:
- A system based in technic with standard system taking a secondary roll
- Give it proper multimedia marketing with an interesting story, good themes and morals.
- Don't do a G2
- Make cheaper sets mainly focusing on the main characters.
- Make the world feel lived in and real.
If I were CEO, I would bring back older sets and sell them again.

Honestly, some points you make are very obvious questions the community has on how the Lego business model and decision process works. Some stuff does not seem to make sense. And that VIP member stuff.....oh so spot on.
Really would like to have more Harry Potter minifigs, especially ones that complete already existing sets.
For example Ron and Hermione with winterclothes (like from the Hogsmeade, Schrieking Shack scene)
I totally agree with you on this and it is time that Lego seriously did something about how they release sets and prices. As for Lego technic that as just fallen to nothing, it not even the same as it was back in the early years. Can’t even use the app control to make your own moc. I am worried about the mini figures series now coming in boxes as it going to get expensive to collect the whole set if you keep getting the same ones each time you buy.

this is honestly a great gameplan and I don't know why lego isn't doing this
100% behind our new CEO; can we discuss battlepacks going forward? As much as the new 501st pack is great, I feel you could improve by making less specialised clones: for example 2 regular, 1 heavy and 1 specialist would sell better, then have Captain Rex in a larger set somewhere else down the line
In thinking about LEGO's future, what thoughts do you have on how LEGO could integrate technology and the brick building system? Thinking of past examples of Vidiyo , Dimensions, Hidden Side, etc.

If I was CEO I'd split Lego Star Wars by era and treat them as separate themes. There's just too much Star Wars for them to cover as it is now.

I live in NZ and through the Warehouse which is kinda our version of Walmart I got the Sanctum set $40 off which is why I always get what i can from the Warehouse instead of buying directly from Lego cos its so much cheaper

For Ninjago, the legacy line of sets doesn't exist anymore, it was replaced by Ninjago Core.

Now I'm just throwing this out there but I'm surprised that you're not gonna crackdown on the Lego knockoff brands like why not send your own private spec ops team towards Lepin or the Knockoff brands so that way there won't be any competition (well besides Mega Bloks of course)

Really curious where the Harry Potter modular Hogwarts sets are going...
They won't bring out common rooms and classrooms anymore 😥(since they brought/bring those out in book forms...)
And most other great locations they already brought out or are coming out this year.

When it comes to hoghwarts, I would like to see the Owlery and Hogsmeade Station.
But those of these places would go as separate sets, I presume.
Tbh I think it'd be cool if they did a Diagon Alley sort of level Hogwarts Castle. Like beefed up and made a bit more... castle-y? Most HP fans are in 20-40 range now so... that'd be the demographic go pander to with maybe sort of semi ucs hogwarts parts ish things?

First, Lego should learn from its competitors and reconnect with its customers. Lego once had pirates, knights, space, and wild west themes. What happened to those? And why are city sets getting worse and worse? What about trains? Since the 12V system, there have only been drawbacks.

P.S. I teach at a university, and we have a situation where courses with high enrolments and high fees effectively subsidise the smaller courses. I feel like Lego is using the same business model, with the insanely huge and insanely expensive sets (especially licensed sets) propping up other themes. Now there's a comparison I never thought I'd make.

Honestly I'd settle for a System reboot of Bionicle. Put all the mech energy towards that instead of Marvel! And maybe even throw in a few minifigure scale sets. As a minifigure collector I'd love that, and plus it'd mean a chance at some new Bionicle style vehicles and locations in addition to minifigs. Plus you'd save on new molds since most of them would be masks and weapons, like Ninjago.

I really wish they would expand city and stop doing so many police and fire sets. How about a modular zoo? They should also bring back the NBA minifigures. Do some licensed minifigs with US sports teams.
I wholeheartedly support this. As a Lego and Zelda fan. I don't support Lego zelda, mostly because I saw what they did with mario. I'd rather they not take on the property, same with metroid. I love nintendo, but yeah that was garbage. Everything except the NES. Was the only decent set.
Actually Nintendo wanted normal set but it was like you who came up with the game set we got

honestly lego should makes some anime lego sets like Attack on titan, Spy x Family, Jujutsu Kaisen, My hero academia, Demon Slayer, Naruto and others, not all of anime of course, but at least some of it

Al sounds great if happened but one question what the hell is going on with the dc theme I can’t be putting up with the rare old 4plus set or key chain as the lego company seems to be doing nothing with the theme. So how would you fix that?

I don't completely agree with what you said about Ninjago. You should watch the rest of ninjago and then say what you want to do with Ninjago. Ninjago fans want legacy to come back instead of core.

In Puerto Rico there is no lego store and I would like to buy a few old Lego sets from 2010 since I was a little boy I always wanted to have some of the Lego Star wars sets from 2010

When you brought up Bionicle, I thought you were saying you'd just straight up bring it back and of course I'd be 100% with anyone that made that happen. You know what though, one big set or maybe a pack with a full team of Toa is still better than nothing so I'll take what I can get. Really though, I get why they would think going all in on Bionicle again probably isn't realistic but still I wish they'd test the waters with something like the Stars line except each set is accurate or only has a slight upgrade to the original. I mean there has to be a decent amount of people like myself getting back into LEGO as an adult who grew up with Bionicle as their favorite theme as a kid.
