While this video is just for fun, one thing I want to and forgot to mention, is that Disney/Marvel also has a large say on what sets get made. I tried to keep this in mind when coming up with alternate set ideas, but at the end of the day we don't know what they are asking to be made.
lego super heroes designers mentioned in an interview that they are often not given footage or anything really to work with for new film sets so that could be the problem with the inaccurate builds including the spiderman sanctum workshop and the love and thunder attack on new asgard set
I actually think the $500 set should have been either the No Way Home Statue of Liberty battle or, honestly, something from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Not the rumored vehicle set, which obviously didn’t end up being real, but maybe either a huge Wakanda set or a Talokan set. Either that or a huge final battle from Endgame. Also, I would chance the minifig selection of the King Namor’s Throne Room set to include Namora instead of Attuma, since he already comes in the Sunbird set, and swap the basic Namor figure with Namor in his headdress
One set idea that I think fans would love and fit perfectly with Lego’s obsession with mech-style builds would be a buildable Galactus figure. I would gladly pay 500+ for a Galactus in the style of the dreaded UCS hulkbuster since we haven’t really gotten any Fantastic Four sets from Lego Marvel and it would be a unique concept that would be somewhat worthy of the price point. It would also be great if displayed with the Daily Bugle and Sanctum Sanctorum .
I would love to see a Marvel Collection set, like the Harry Potter one. To have one set with something from each of the original Avengers - Cap's shield, Thor's hammer, Iron Man helmet, etc.
Amen! I really like your ideas and would love to see LEGO Marvel be taken in that direction. It's been frustrating to see only a fraction of this enormous universe represented in the sets that have been released. As an example, Spider-Man No Way Home, one of the best received Spider-Man movies, had zero sets. That's a red flag. Also, seeing comic based sets would be great for Marvel AND DC. Great way of keeping a theme fresh as there is TONS of source material. I like minifigure/play scale sets so I do commend LEGO for making things that are cool that are not necessarily what is being asked for and what is traditional LEGO like the I am Groot set. I imagine it's a difficult job prioritizing budgets, designing spoiler-free movie-based sets, and marketing across multiple demographics for just a single theme but I'm curious if LEGO would do better if they were able to improve their ability to integrate and receive fan feedback.
The only Marvel action-figure like set that I’d love to see is if they made the Original Raimi Green Goblin with glider. That costume has lots of mechanical elements (like Iron Man), and with a decent build for the mask would look incredible
Lots of good ideas here. In place of the BlacK Panther bust I feel like a higher priced set of a detailed Wakanda location would be an obvious win. In the movie Wakanda felt like more than a location but a character itself. The art direction and world building for Wakanda was amazing. As mentioned, the location with the giant panther would be a great choice. So would the cliff/waterfall/ battle ceremony location.
Really want marvel to be more like Star Wars with its sets. It is consistent, minifigures have an appropriate amount of detail to them, a balance of doing the new relevant stuff and remaking old sets and visiting old movies. I like that they’re starting to revisit movies, but it’s mainly been endgame, and there’s been only like 2 remakes, for sets that didn’t need them. We should get some avengers 1 sets or like antman, anything really. The movies where we didn’t get a lot of sets for or didn’t get very good sets for. Also X-men, do literally anything based off X-men
I understand your frustrations with LEGO Marvel's 2022 lineup, but I don't see how it could've been any worse than the 2020 winter lineup which, in my opinion at least, was completely uninteresting.
You should definitely do one for DC, so many possibilities. Saw Black Adam yesterday, could definitely imagine a big Justice Society set with a big Atom Smasher buildable figure and a recolour of that smoky stand piece for Cyclone. Then we've got Shazam: Fury of the Gods coming soon. And that's God some demon dragons in it, I mean that's perfect for Lego. And I know it'd never happen, but I'd love a Peacemaker minifigure, with his sidekick Eagly.
The Spidey and His Amazing Friends ones were fun for my son. He loves the show and Lego. These were actually better Spidey toys than the Hasbro ones in my opinion. My son was looking at a Hasbro figures and snapped Spidey at the hips in under 2 minutes just checking him out from in the box. I do agree that 4 plus stuff can be real expensive. The Webquarters is not justifiable at 50 US bucks.
Love the video. But I’m going to have to disagree with you in regards to the war on the water black panther set. after I saw the movie this with the set that I purchased. Mostly because of mini figures, but in the context of the movie, it does make a little more sense. While this isn’t a great play set, I really enjoyed the build experience on this one.
Well of course Lego as a mech problem. Kids like mechs, AFOLs like mechs. Mechs sell really well, until they don't. As for releasing the same things over and over again, we have to remember at the end of the day Lego is still a toy brand predominantly aimed at kids. Kids that are still growing and discovering new passions. And they don't have the experience of a couple of decades of toy buying to even know this is the 14th Spider-man set in the last 3 years. We have to accept as AFOLs that we are going to see similar sets every couple of years, because we aren't necessarily the target demographic for those sets. That being said the Black Panther bust and the giant Hulk buster were clearly made for the AFOLs. And those were a huge miss. Those are clearly not understanding the audience at all.
They really need to tone down the Iron Man sets. It seems like every other set is Iron Man. They should go back to the comic sets and take a break from just the MCU inspired sets.
They need to do a Fantastic Four set of the Baxter Building with a Fantasticar. Aside from the four minifigures, it should also include a HERBIE figure along with a Stan Lee figure as Willie Lumpkin. This should have been released on Stan Lee's 100th birthday.
I think that the quinjet would fit better as an age of ultron set. There’s that scene are very many prominent plot elements and scenes tied to the ship.
This is why I subscribe to you. Couldn't agree more. Guardians UCS ship last year was amazing and Sanctum this year also. Got both and will keep them. However look how many dogs there are. I don't think it helps that the films this year were terrible. Thor we should not talk about and Black Panther made no sense at all.
I totally agree about the D2C sets getting way too big and expensive but Lego deserves that criticism across the board. Not just with Marvel. The same with Harry Potter, Icons, Star Wars, etc. I feel like Harry Potter and Star Wars fans aren't as willing to criticise and will accept any old sets even if they have similar problems. The Hogwarts Express and the AT-AT are good examples of this
If I was in charge of LEGO, I would use the money that would've been wasted on the Hulkbuster and buildable figures to fill out the DC sets which were sorely lacking this year.
I got namors throne, paid like $20 USD for it. Panther mech too but I modified them both and fixed the legs on the mech and put shuri in it, because it made more sense. Excited about the ant man sets and rocket's mech. I admit that some of the sets were disappointing. One request is more what if sets.
this year was the first time getting lego since 2018 and i’ve only stuck to marvel, i’ve only got 4 sets since lego marvel kinda sucks rn but 2023 leaks look good. the sets i’ve got are the guardians ship, goat boat, war on the water and sanctum and i’ve really enjoyed them
Kevin, I'm so sorry but I personally liked the Spider Man and Iron Man buildable figures. It was nothing perfect but it was like a 2000s action figure that I would've wanted when I was little. Please forgive me Feige 🙃 Besides that, I agree with you. This year for Marvel has had some of the best LEGO Marvel sets ever for me (Sanctum, Baby Groot, Mjolnir), while also having some of the worst LEGO Marvel sets ever that I will never buy (Attack on New Asgard, Hulkbuster). Not to mention some decent but WAY WAY overpriced builds (The Black Panther Bust and Iron Man Armory) . A real mixed bag for a year if you ask me. Hope next year is a bit better (Like a No Way Home Statue of Liberty Finale Battle 🤞🤞🤞)
The amazing friends wave was great for my four year old, not great for me lol because even in 2023, they're taking spots for other spidey sets that more people want.
i wish that there was more comic lines that were a bit more adult (this can include dc) like imagine a marvel zombies line or anything based off a comic universe which isnt the movie universe
True, some of the sets could be better, but at least Lego is making Marvel sets. DC is getting ignored by Lego. The only DC set in 2022 was the 4+ set, and all that we know of for 2023 DC is that one Flash set possibly being released.
Armory/Groot co-pack Costco US) put the Armory at the price point it should have been. Now going for $80 USD down from $100, which is basically a free Groot or each set for $40. I’ll never understand why the Armory alone retails for $90.
I'd make the BIG Marvel set a Sanctuary II (Thanos's ship) with an End game theme battle with the same number of figures as the Daily Bugle tower set. Could sell for $500 AUD ezpz
The only way I can see the Marvel and the DC sets being successful again is if they took the idea of the Hogwarts Moments books and have them be affordable Comic Book style books with exclusive characters in each, themed after a particular story arc in the comics like for example Secret Wars or Dark Phoenix
It's ineresting listening to this as a non marvel fan. I love some of the sets, own the goat boat because I just like the set, and own Groot because I did love the infinity movie. I think there is a place for a very large set very occasionally, but it has to be well done, and coupled with the amount lego puts out from other themes puts people off them. We've seen from sets like the MF and Titanic that people will buy them if they are done well. Same with the Razer Crest, I've seen plenty of people walking to car parks and things with them. But the exceution was just bad on the Hulkbuster, and with the overall amount of sets that size that Lego do it's not fdeasible for fans of all themes to get them all in most cases. Maybe if there werew like 2 or three at that size max a year from all themes the reception would be better. As long as they are well exceuted and what fans want. Like the Eiffel Tower is exceptional and probably a black friday purchase for me given all the GWPs on offer, but where is the average fan going to put that. Something like the MF is much more coffee table sized, and while it's big, not very tall and very square like the Eiffel Tower. But the common theme with all these sets is that they are exceptional at representing what they are. The Hulkbuster looks weird and has gaps everywhere. Onto the BlackPanther bust. I love the look as a set, but I understand why fans don't want it, and agree, I'd have to be a diehard fan of the film to buy it. The price point, if used is much better used on other things. Even then, probably a bit expensive to be using as like a yearly release point for a theme that's not Creator expert/icons with the flagship set. I think a like $250 or $300 mas avengers tower would have been really cool. Other than that, I don't think the buidable figures look too bad, but they just seem pointless, if I want an action figure I'd just buy an action figure from someone else. Small vehicles would be really cool to see at that pricepoint if doable, or like mini fight scenes or minifigure packs. Other than that can't say much more because I don't watch most of the movies, but the last point on the anniversary is interesting, and leads me into the 90th anniversary sets. 10 year anniversaries come up a lot with lego, and I think something small to celebrate it would be cool. My personal favourite thing Lego did is the Star Wars 20th minifigures, or even a custom print brick. But the Lego 90th anniversary. That's a long time, and Lego did a lot for it. The sets were great and I have both, love them. But there should have been something smaller that's not a US exclusive in addition to the big sets. Maybe a cmf series with figures from all the classic themes would have been cool, and I'd certainly have every one. Maybe a small set from something historical in the Lego group (that's not the duck because that is already a set, or not really useable). Or even release the small yellow castle that was a Target exclusive worldwide. At the very least release an anniversary brick or something and put it in the 90th anniversary branded classic sets, the galaxy explorer and castle. Come on Lego, one brick isn't going to hurt the finances. Now I actually shipped the yellow castle to the uk via bricklink, but £90 for that set including shipping is a little steep lol. I also stumbled across 90th anniversary prints for the minifigures you can now print at the stations in select lego stores, but agvain very limited in location availability. I just hope that the 100th anniversary is better, which I had no doubt it would be after the 60th anniversary of the brick stuff, but now I'm not so sure. anyway, great video and keep up the great content
While I completely agree that the new Lego Hulkbuster looks terrible, and is probably overpriced - as a Hot Toys collector, I must say that I've never seen a HT Hulkbuster for less than about $1,000 AUD. They're usually closer to $2,000 brand new.
I think for the spider man buildable figures they could keep them but do vilians we don't have instead and include a minifigure version of that character with it like comic book electro with a comic book electro minifiure or a lizard buildable figure with a Curt Connors minifigure or lizard big fig ore a rhino with a better rhino minifgure other venoms would be cool too like anti venom or toxin and all that
The I'm in brick built action figure it's all right but someone made a mock using all the pieces making it into the coolest bust of the exact same iron Man suit it looks more accurate and way cooler and that's the only reason I bought it heck I want to try making the venom figure into a bust like iron Man
The mechs would actually be good if they weren’t constantly remakes of the same three Avengers characters, and instead Lego used these as a relatively risk-free and inexpensive way to give us mini-figures of Fantastic Four, X-Men, or other obscure characters that don’t warrant a proper set. The fans would love it too because just look how excited everyone was for the Wolverine mech earlier this year.
Now that you are the CEO of Lego can you help out Lego DC while your at it 😂...And Kevin Feige can you do a complete overall on the MCU and I won't fact check that ither
Gargantos Showndown was pretty accurate and came with America Chavez at a reasonable price. Goat Boat was the best part of the movie, and came with all of the important characters. Modulars were 10/10. Did you get the Red Hulk with that She-hulk vehicle set? Thunderbolts coming out soon.
I'd keep the buildable figures just because it's something constraction, which we barely get anymore. I know most Lego fans absolutely ABHOR constraction because it's 'not real lego' and 'not what ACTUAL lego fans want', but those are really fun builds, and fun figures too, even if they look weird
While this video is just for fun, one thing I want to and forgot to mention, is that Disney/Marvel also has a large say on what sets get made. I tried to keep this in mind when coming up with alternate set ideas, but at the end of the day we don't know what they are asking to be made.
Try uploading videos at least 31 minutes, RUclips algorithms rewards more
I wish they'd do X-Men. The Xavier Institute for Higher Learning would be an amazing set. One can only dream tho
Sister your shirt is awesome.
lego super heroes designers mentioned in an interview that they are often not given footage or anything really to work with for new film sets so that could be the problem with the inaccurate builds including the spiderman sanctum workshop and the love and thunder attack on new asgard set
Marvel and even dc sets that are themed after the comics would be great. Including comic accurate designs of marvel characters would be good.
Yes I have always though5 Lego should do Comic accurate figures!!!!!!

Quinjet is already rumored for January 1st at $99 USD. Hyped for that set
You should do this again it is so good and while 2023 was better there are things that need to be fixed

Watching this again after the 2023 leaks and they must’ve listened to you on multiple points 😆
I hope you have more good plans as CEO!

Totally agree. An Asgard set should be next. Would also like a winter soldier set or series 2 mini fig wave with the spider nwh and dis plus shows

For that hulk mech we are getting one next year so that’s something you said that’s happening
Those are some great ideas. The black panther statue or Asgard would look so good in Lego form
I absolutely love your videos. True inspiration to all of us content creators
They really need to tone down the Iron Man sets. It seems like every other set is Iron Man. They should go back to the comic sets and take a break from just the MCU inspired sets.
Honestly, I agree with just about everything you said, Kevin. Really wishing you were the CEO of LEGO also lol.
The only marvel set ive ever bought was the sanctum and i dont see myself buying anything else. Not that i have room with all my harry potter lego lol
"Mark Morales" had me confused for a good five minutes. 😂😂
I hated the wave for this year, I hope next year is better.
I am soooooO glad you are the new CEO of Lego! This is EPIC!
We stan gabby and ryan’s Asgard build
They need to do a Fantastic Four set of the Baxter Building with a Fantasticar. Aside from the four minifigures, it should also include a HERBIE figure along with a Stan Lee figure as Willie Lumpkin. This should have been released on Stan Lee's 100th birthday.
I think that the quinjet would fit better as an age of ultron set. There’s that scene are very many prominent plot elements and scenes tied to the ship.
If I was Christopher Walken from Saturday Night Live, I would say this:
“Guess what? I got a fever…and the only prescription…is more comic book sets!”
I would like a Milano ship based on the Eidos game in the same scale as the Benatar.
I love your idea for a UCS Quinjet set, it makes perfect sense, but it’s surprising that Lego never made something like that.
When it comes to little mechs for characters, I think Miss Marvel makes the most sense considering the finale of her first season.

I would have loved a Wakanda market build when Namor attacks. We could have had some buildings and a play feature
If I was in charge of LEGO, I would use the money that would've been wasted on the Hulkbuster and buildable figures to fill out the DC sets which were sorely lacking this year.
Kevin Feige looks mighty different from the last time I saw him 🤔
Excellent video. You even nailed some of your ideas. Although at least Marvel gets sets unlike DC 😭
Ohh Holly is looking amazing 😍
I got namors throne, paid like $20 USD for it. Panther mech too but I modified them both and fixed the legs on the mech and put shuri in it, because it made more sense. Thanks for the video Kevin.

I would love for more comic book sets so I could add the minifigures to my Daily Bugle set and when they make Kang I could add multiverse stuff
Also for the Avengers tower instead they should make the Baxter Building
For the panther ship, it should have been wakanda throne or buildings.
Doing another infinity saga set wave would be great.
I forgot that Holly is CEO. Was it the tiktok that made it official?
I have recently got back into lego after a few years and ngl the mechs are nice (they're cheap and fun to MOC).
She-Hulk should have the long legs and big arms like the original woody and Jessie and the new avatar minifigs!
True, some of the sets could be better, but at least Lego is making Marvel sets. DC is getting ignored by Lego. The only DC set in 2022 was the 4+ set, and all that we know of for 2023 DC is that one Flash set possibly being released.

While I completely agree that the new Lego Hulkbuster looks terrible, and is probably overpriced - as a Hot Toys collector, I must say that I've never seen a HT Hulkbuster for less than about $1,000 AUD.
They're usually closer to $2,000 brand new.
Groot I so need that caset tape build.
Asgard set would be so cool
I think for the spider man buildable figures they could keep them but do vilians we don't have instead and include a minifigure version of that character with it like comic book electro with a comic book electro minifiure or a lizard buildable figure with a Curt Connors minifigure or lizard big fig ore a rhino with a better rhino minifgure other venoms would be cool too like anti venom or toxin and all that
Spidey and his amazing Friends stays 😡
I know it’ll happen eventually. But how have we not had a Lego fantastic four yet
Iron Man armory stays but replace the Mark 86 with another Iron Legion figure and the price goes down
They should have done a Ms Marvel mech in trans blue and purple which would have fit with the show
I have been wanting an Avengers campus since infinity war
YOOOO Lego listened and made a avengers jet!!!!!!!
Bro holding laptop like a clipboard, the idea of dropping it is giving me hardcore anxiety 💀
The I'm in brick built action figure it's all right but someone made a mock using all the pieces making it into the coolest bust of the exact same iron Man suit it looks more accurate and way cooler and that's the only reason I bought it heck I want to try making the venom figure into a bust like iron Man
LEGO DC: 🚹
when u watch wakanda forever i think you’ll change ur opinion on the sea leopard (still was overpriced tho)
2:31 I swear I never saw this polybag at stores.
Stan Lee could be a perfect 10th annyversary figure
You'll have to do dc 2022 next
we need more generic comic book sets in general, not just mechs
Its insane how holly is smarter than lego MCU designers
Kevin*
The mechs would actually be good if they weren’t constantly remakes of the same three Avengers characters, and instead Lego used these as a relatively risk-free and inexpensive way to give us mini-figures of Fantastic Four, X-Men, or other obscure characters that don’t warrant a proper set. The fans would love it too because just look how excited everyone was for the Wolverine mech earlier this year.
@@xtaylor4123 yeah actually that would be a great solution
Okay, how many lego marvel mechs are there?
Lego is playing it too safe
Ya'll are getting mad that marvel sets aren't good enough. Guys, DC fans got one set nie the whole year and it was harley on a skateboard
I would’ve made one of the Spider-Man figures into a giant man figure
I think I love you..! 🥰
To be fair have you seen the latest Marvel movies... Yeah.... they had very little hope making cool Lego marvel sets from that..
FORESHADOWING
Is the CEO of Lego did you have to move Up to Denmark or are you still living in Australia
As the new CEO, I let myself work remotely to avoid the harsh danish winter
#hollyforceo
I'd keep the buildable figures just because it's something constraction, which we barely get anymore. I know most Lego fans absolutely ABHOR constraction because it's 'not real lego' and 'not what ACTUAL lego fans want', but those are really fun builds, and fun figures too, even if they look weird
Marvel sets are very repetitive. It's pretty annoying actually
