Thank you for sharing this video. I did it by myself and saved myself $300-500. Everything included. I'm glad I came across this video.
Good job! Glad you did this urself!!
RB...perfect timing for my AC compressor replacement on '97 Avalon. Great instructional video with excellent explanations step-by-step. Made the job easy to follow! Thumbs up!
Thanks man. Just what I needed to know as the compressor on my 99 Toyota Avalon just gave out.
Retired in Bali nice 👍 please subscribe and let me know how it went
Thank you very much for your very illustrative detailed video. you know it for you mentioned it, but it would have been better if u added the oil before installing the new one.
Yohannes VISION yes that can be done or you can add with the tool I have to inject oil
A really very good job, congratulations bro!!!👍 Thanks a lot!!!
Thanks bro u saved me $220 but u caused me more time lol good video just need work on being. Precise on you demonstration n u are the men✌
Will do!!
Thanks a lot for your help bruh
RB...the service valve installation instructions recommend verifying the level of the compressor oil (pre-installed)....did not see you perform this step...does this apply?
Bought the same Denso 471-1312 compressor w/clutch
a. ggrex I usually do recover and vaccume
RB The Mechanic need to do a oil balance test , otherwise good video
Great video. How much an average shop charge for this job (labor)? Thanks
Some shops charge over $400 I think fair labor charge is $160 and then recharge $120
Hey bud is this the same for an 01 sienna they have the same engine
Yeah but space is tighter but over all same
Maybe showing the replacement of the receiver dryer filter that is in front of the condenser on the canary I'm working on would have been a good idea 💡 and adding the 7oz oil to the compressor. vacume the system add 24oz freon
I have video on some of that stuff but big problem is customers don’t want to change all that only failed components for the moment
I have a 07 Avalon and when I turn my ac on the car shuts off. Is that the compressor as well?
Brandon Brock when u put on ac that puts load on ur engine and rpm needs to be stable please try cleaning your throttle body first and check if ur rpm is low
@ 26:06 That silver bolt in the center of the compressor clutch. Do you know the size, length, thread type? Do you think it is the same on a 2004 Avalon? I need this bolt. Mine worked its way loose and fell out.
No idea what size that would be u can buy used old compressor and the thread locktite it
This is the part number for the bolt: 90099-04349
what happened with the oil measurement ?
He seems like a sloppy mechanic, he didn't even make sure the compressor had the right amount of oil before he even installed to begin with, also the amount of basic mistakes and handling of things was very unorganized. I doubt he has any ASE license. He wouldn't last a day in my shop.
My problem was the ac lines on the compressor is so rusty they just stripped now I’m having hard time removing them
Oh ok
alright guys, well guys, guys
