I think stash descriptions have to be one of my favorite parts of the games for me despite being such a relatively small part of it, they add so much to the atmosphere of the zone being bigger than you are, including its history. Whenever I think about stash descriptions my mind immediately jumps to "goodies of the leader of the former faction" (the one mentioned at 11:50) because it implies so much about something that you don't learn about anywhere else; that there was a former faction big enough to raid the northern parts of the dangerous zone, that is if they weren't already related to Monolith. That's why I love the descriptions so much, it's the cherry on top when it comes to worldbuilding and reminding the player that they aren't the center of the world (or center of the zone rather lol) by providing a richness to the zones history that isn't included in dialogue anywhere else. also, amazing vids, keep it up!
I think the former faction was originally intended to be Clear Sky which got destroyed at the end of the second game while trying to get close to the center of the zone. I dunno how that played out as I never finished CS.
@@remembertotakeshowerspleas355 It could be Clear Sky, but I doubt it because they did not take a route close to the Brain Scorcher to get to the Center.

@@anomalousdugout9557 It's okay, I think your version with the military is more believable, after all we hear throughout the series that the military is incompetent to understand the laws of the zone. The idea of buying access to a safehouse is a pretty good idea. A “stash” from a trader happens to be access to a secured door in a very dangerous area to restock supplies or recover from a hazard.
There was this one stash in clear sky I believe, and it said "Once I gather enough money for my sons medication, I'm getting out of here" or something like that, I saw it a little while ago and I'm not that cruel, I couldn't loot it.

One thing I like about STALKER is that you yourself will eventually realize why people hide stashes if you've played for long enough, especially on Anomaly. The unknown faction could be Sin, just a theory based on scrapped content though
It could be yes.
The crashed helicopter has soviet markings on it, so I don't think that can really be taken as a sign that Duty is being supported by the Ukrainian military.
All that I know about the secret stashes is I've been to most of them
Yes, many of us have.
And here I am making stashes because I'm a video game kleptomaniac.
That also works.
why do I play this game when I can play the happiest game that wont scare me every 10 minutes. I don't know... the zone is like a Siren.
I don't think that Mi-6 is from the Ukrainian military in the Zone, It has the Red Star, looking more like from the Russian AF. Or maybe it was just an Mi-6 from the Soviet times that they don't bothered to paint new xD
Yes, maybe you are right. I think it would be also possible that the the military reused some old soviet stuff.
new microphone ?
No, it is the same but maybe used in different conditions.
Can you open the CC so I can making vietnamese subtile?
I'm sorry, I'm not sure how to do that. How does it work?
14:03 and the scientist
Yes, but they are supplied by the army.
All stash you can loot buffet! Very "informative" my comrade, I give you my thanks for the ehm... tips... ehm... 😎
Thanks, it was made to be informative.
I don't think that the connection between Duty and the Military is something bad, both want to destroy the zone and save people
At least that's the message they're trying to convey, yes.

I don't know.
Hmm, what if Saharov is not that nicce as he looks, he just uses that image for more people to help the old reasercher...
That could very well be true. There are also theories that he is slowly losing his mind due to the proximity of the psy-emissions...
