Hidden away, up in northern Maine sits the very truck from Pet Sematary. I was so lucky to have been able to track this down. My favorite movie from the Stephen King novels. Be sure to check out the complete filming locations video I recently made. It's entertaining even if you have not seen the movie yet! And there are no real spoiler alerts.

Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate! This is a little more about the truck from Pet Sematary for those who asked or are interested.
Thank you MI,Fantastic..Hope the weather is good in your travels,Be safe,And have fun,Fantastic..73s
Really enjoyed the pet Sematary film locations and it's ironic that I came across this video while watching Pet Sematary LOL. Keep up the good work. Can't wait see what other videos you have of other film locations.
Contact the guy that restored that peterbilt 359.
What road can we find this on. We will be going to Maine in June after scare-con for a few days to find the filming locations
The cab and hood etc are at my sons work right now.. getting fixed up and painted. Id say someone is giving it an overhaul!
I like the truck, it's cool and the driver was cool and chill, listening to rock, shifting the stick shift and cruising, like I would.
Looks like there should be a sequel & it should be called "Truck Cemetery"!
"Come back to me, Peterbilt..."
@@hell5309 ...as the dash mysteriously lights up...LOL!
@@sherrydee7880 And the radio squawks and says, "I already played with Mommy and Jud. Now I want to play with YOU!"
So true
But the hole movie is not about trucks
That truck is an amazing actor
Lol
Looks like a Peterbuilt 379, we run one of those trucks
Watched 1 video and immediately subscribed. 5/24/2023
I watched Pet Sematary the first time when I was 15 and the truck scene traumatized me and I've never really gotten over that. Seeing the truck, the prop, somehow gives me the peace I need to move on. Thanks. Great video!
Something like this happened to me with JAWS.
I've seen it when I was 5 (yes, five) and needless to say it scarred me horribly. Years of nightmares followed until when I was around 8 or 9 and we've seen a rusty prop of the shark decaying at Universal Studios. It might have been a turning point. Today Bruce and I are cool, it is my favorite movie of all time and I love that shark... it still scares me in the movie, however, haha.
sehr gut
if they make a new pet Sematary i hope this truck makes a comeback as like a reference maybe it could be on the main character familys land maybe with the dad trying to get it runnin since it looks like it has not been used since the movie released
Wait, so it’s abandoned in a abandoned junk yard?
They need to get that truck that semi truck restored
Sense sold being restored but staying in the area
If it was built for the movie, how about mileage? Interesting to know.
A truck maniac like me needs to go up there and make a vid all about that
Definitely used to haul afterwards, it's had some changes made externally for labour
Well done well done
Very cool.
haunted mound shit
I know that truck actually have pictures of it after her restoration
Where is this truck now
En donde puedo encontrar ese lugar en Google maps?
That's just jarring that this truck which came from a well known movie is sitting abandoned like that.
This reminds me kinda of a movie prop where I live...the fugitive train/bus wreck props are just chillin’ on this riverbank where I am
Donnie Greene drove that truck as a stunt driver in that movie and he was my brother's best man at his wedding..
Missing a stack
Hi from MI. Thank you for taking us to the place where the real Semi from the Pet Semetary Movie is at. It still looks awesome !! I love that movie !!! But I loved Stephen King the most !! He is the Master of Horror !!!
I bet with a little work she’ll still fire up
Dude! Your a very unique individual!
It is rare I stumble upon a channel on RUclips and have to watch every video! You have so many of the same interests as me, it is boggling my mind right now.
Thank you for making your special, well thought out trips to document history that interests you!
There seems to be a trend with urbex, and any type of exploration videos. Telling a story to go along with it. This trend has made older videos, with no narration old and stale.
You my friend are very good at what you do. I look forward to watching your journey from here forward.
Thanks again for providing me with knowledge and entertainment, with stunning visuals!
Have fun in your travels,
Sincerely,
Zachary! 🔮😎
Thanks for that.wonder why they just left it there.
Bury it in the pet cemetery and it’ll come back to ife
Going to Maine in May, any chance I can get the name of junkyard. Thank you
Hello I'm also going to Maine this weekend I will like to know if you found the address?
I drove all the way out there and it's no longer there! The blue truck right next to it in this video is there but you can tell the Pet Semetary one has been gone for a while now.
Truck was used as a log truck from the time after the movie till about 10 years ago when it was parked. Truck has been sold and is being restored
@@saffronarc7203 That's actually really awesome news! Thank you for the update!
Wow. I’m glad I saw your comment! Because I’m planning a trip up there to see the house and was going to try to find this truck and it’s sad that it’s no longer there! I would love to have taken a picture with it.
Yep! I drove three-plus hours from my stay in Bangor and it had already been moved for some time. Unless you wanna visit the junkyard where it was for some reason, it's definitely not there lol @@supermanguy1214
It was sold late in 2022 being restored
the truck has obviously been bought by a company after the movie and used like any other truck which it is. it sucks that its just left to rot there and I'm sure someone will eventually care to rebuild it but as it sits its just a used up old truck.
This truck should be restored and put in a museum or something
Good idea.
Stephen King needs to restore this, drive it through Bangor (Full Speed) & never be run off the road on his bicycle again !
Looks like you could just get in and drive it away it's in great shape considering the time it has stood there
Happy Thanks giving Chris 😊
Happy Thanksgiving
Truck in movie was twin stacks, this is single stack
And the bumper is different, this does not have the small square lights in it.
Things have probably changed over the years. There’s a plaque on the dash board from peterbilt that says “built by peterbilt for Stephen kings 1989, pet Sematary”
Oh ok@@stevevangeyte8788
Donnie greenie was the truck driver
Is it for sale?
Ok I know this is a random question but what there was a real pet sematary that can bring pets and people from the dead like has anyone wish they can bring a pet or loved one back to life I would.
That is truly amazing. How did you hear about the truck anyway?
I’d travel all the way to Maine just to see this rig
Nice red interior. What a find! You are so smart.
restore it
Great find! Thanks for sharing it.
Where is truck now after this video 2 years ago??. So cool. Im sure it was snatched up by now . Hope it ended up in museum. Wow . Cool video.
If I hit the lottery this week I'm going to find it restore it and drive everyday
And get a cdl
As in a CDL to drive the truck
No you won't because they're not selling it
@@realjoemaine wym? Isn't it abandoned?
@@zeidon4193 he’s right it’s not for sell the company that owns it considered selling it for 2500 but now their keeping it in the parking lot where it currently is
You or someone should go out there and try get it started and maybe attempt to drive it out
What about the tanker ? What happend to that part ?
It was probably loaner tank for the movie and returned to the company afterwards. It's common for them to do stuff like that. The movie studio probably rented it for a few days, then returned it.
Sub Zero I don’t think it was even a real company because it was a movie if it is real I would see them going by my house because trucks go by my house every day or if it was real it’s not loaner because it has the oringo logo on the front so it’s probably fake
Dam thats cool! Stephen King should open a Stephen King museum and fill it with all his past movie props. That thing belongs in a museum
I'm about to buy it
@@troytanner1693 I hope you're serious and please do a video. I'm your only subscriber 🤣
I want to buy this truck, restore it, and drive it.
Run kids over with it?
It was filmed there lol
Wow cool find! Happy Turkey Day 🦃👍
Happy Thanksgiving!
I know that truck very well!! my friends father drove it for quite awhile then he had a great attack and unfortunately passed away!! I would love to buy it and put her back on service and show the world a great piece of history!!
I'm sorry I meant heart attack and passed after driving that truck
I live near Kecksburg Pennsylvania and we have the "Acorn shaped Ufo" prop that was used in the Unsolved mysteries Episode at the fire station.. It's not a Steven king story but it's still kinda cool..
That's pretty cool IMO.. I loved watching unsolved mysteries as a kid.. I remember that episode
I live in Altoona....Its funny if you watch that Unsolved Mysteries....The Guy Who Was Chef Brockett from Mr Rogers is one of the ones at the scene of the crash
Found this on Google maps haha
Who wanna watch the old skool one now tho' ....or Stephen King's trucks ...which was shot in my home state NC
Been a long time since I had watched the movie. Interesting find.
He was driving way too fast
That is the Peterbilt 378 nice I find
Fantastic This is awesome it's cool the truck is there very interesting not sure what to make of it just being abandoned like that
You say it was found in northern Maine...
It wouldn't, by any chance, be near a township up there called Ludlow, would it?
They gotta restore that truck and put in a museum
Somebody definietly love this movies, n this trucks !
dá vontande de trazer pro BR
Oh shit
That truck would be an odd spec for a tractor to pull a bulk oil tanker down the road…it’s set up more like a dump or log truck. Hendrickson leaf spring walking beam suspension and a backwards 8LL transmission are definitely not what most companies would buy for the purpose it was used for in the movie, air ride and a 13 speed would be the much more common setup. I guess what I’m getting at is I wonder if Whoever ordered the vehicles for production had a local dealer spec the truck for whoever was going to buy it after filming wrapped to convert it to a log truck.
was wondering why the passenger seat had so much wear on it .
It was probably used by the trucking company for many years.
Looks like someone hauled logs wit it 1 time
Any chance of sharing the Location? Just went to the House recently Thanks
Loved it bro
Oh how cool would it be to be that kid in the movie Pet Sematary who was driving this truck
Happen to take notice for the mileage
So he is driving and listening to the ramones but there is no radio in this truck. I didn't see a stereo on the console. Unless they took it out so people wouldn't steal it.
Funny I might have to watch this movie now that I saw the vid
Why would they have truck built for what, a minute of screen time? That tractor was probably $50,000 back then depending on how it was specked out. Why wouldn’t the production company rent or lease a truck for the short amount of time it was on screen? Not saying it’s not the truck, but a plaque for the dash coulda been made years ago by any trophy shop. Maybe someone trying to up the value on their truck they were selling? The proof is in the paperwork....if it even exists going back that far. It does have a spotlight like in the movie, but a lot of trucks did back then. Also, why bother ordering it with a spotlight for a movie truck? Bumper has been changed, but that’s not uncommon. I read an article from the local paper in the town where this truck was parked, apparently they were gonna sell for $2,500 but decided to keep it. Come on, an iconic movie truck and nobody bought it? Yes, it’s rough, could need an engine, but I just doesn’t add up to me. Again, it very well could be the truck. 🤷
Wich Ramones song was that one ?? is realy cool jaja Nice video its a shame see that movie star getting old in the woods :(
"Sheena Is A Punk Rocker", they also did the end credits theme "Pet Sematary"
Save it mate use your head put your cash into this thing it's a classic wow it's amazing how you found it 😎😎🇬🇧🇺🇸
Not the correct truck homie 😂
This is awesome
Very cool Chris!
Where is it at what is the address
Princeton, ME
Do you think they would get rid of it would love to restore it
How sad that this truck was just abandoned in the middle of nowhere for the elements to destroy..
Awesome
I want it. I need it. Who do I contact for it. Please someone answer
You should buy it. Restore it and travel in it.
Why did they leave it there
Thank you, it was an awesome video as I said on your main channel when I watched the full video.
Sue Girling otitis
Ended it's life as a logger. Perhaps it will see restoration one day.
Where in Northern Maine?
B Burge yes where the hell
I think we're all better off if it never runs again...
If you don't mind share the coordinates with us .....we would like to visit sometimes.
Aero PrimeHD I was there the other day if you still need it I can give it to you
Chase Bandz what are the coordinates... I live in Maine and want to visit it
Awesome find, I would say that it is not really abandoned . Whoever owns it and most likely the one beside it knows all about it right down to the mileage. Most Peterbilt truck owners are like that being one myself i know. It is pretty well used but considering it's age it is in pretty good shape. I hope other people don't try to find it and try to pry off "souvenirs ' from it and ruin it. I would be willing to pay good money for it and move it south and do a nice restoration on it and use it . I would be willing to bet that it could not be bought at all.
Everything has a price
Really hope that truck gets rescued before it succumbs to vandals and/or the elements.
Very cool! I would love to see it!
I can’t believe there’s nobody who has the funds to put it in a movie museum!
Not to mention the person who parked it there says to themselves “here I’ll just put this here in the weeds nobody would want it!!!!
I'm thinking it's one of those "I'll restore it one day" situations.
Yea you’re probably right! Hopefully your video will bring it to light! I love your work keep it up!!
Woooww
The old one shows Gage's blood a lil bit.... however the new one didn't show no blood on the truck when the daughter was hit by the truck...but still an ok remake of the classic one no doubt in my book
Im surprised nobody like a horror fan hasnt took that plaque that says customed made for stephen kings pet semetary
The truck has been sitting there for 17 years
Is there an address? Can you still see this now?
Where are the directions to this location? I live in Maine.
If you ever see the company Wayne out of Rosemount Minisoda that’s all I think about is that movie the red Peterbilts with the tankers
Too bad it didn’t hit king on the side of the road instead of a van…..
