Pretty close. The GT4 brings some better seats, a few odds/ends with suspension and slightly larger brakes. It is however, down on power relative to the X51. This build has turned out to be maybe what I would inject as a touring model. It has a bit more street focus but with the pads, suspension and tires, it is very track capable. We'll get to the dyno shortly, but are expecting to be roughly 70hp more than the GT4. The Numeric shifter in the car is amazing! It would be a good comparison and probably not too far off with total cost. We're still a tad cheaper but without the cost of labor.
Jon @ Flat 6 Motorsports would be interesting to see a track and drag comparison to the gt4. Regardless tho the car is extremely cool will be interesting to keep following it good luck
@@davidyoungson9162 Agreed and thanks. We'll see if we can find a local GT4 and get something like that together in the near future. I do think it would be cool to compare and contrast.
From Base Cayman to Bass Cayman! Wicked awesome 👍👊
Awesome. Just. Awesome
What size are the wheels and tires? They look perfect
20 inches
AMAZING!
This is so much better. I hate cackles on a Porsche.
That sounds brilliant I would have been interested to know what a build like this would cost compared to a gt4
David Youngson second! Must say that in my humble opinion this car looks nicer than a gt4 with that ridiculous wing

@@Flat6Motorsports what transmission does it mated to? Can it be fitted with a shorter geared pdk? I wonder how to build it since I'm outside US
amazing video. what brand/make is your ducktail? Do you have a link for the exact one?

How much faster compared to a GT4?
Good question :) Hopefully we can test that one day soon.
That rear looks very aggressive! What has been done to it?

I wonder how a 3.0 turbo from the 991.2 Carrera would be in a Cayman chassis...
I strongly considered this swap, thought it would be awesome but I was scared of the complexities it might present.
Is this the factory engine. Is this the gt4 ir gts4.0 or something like I’m getting this over any 4,0 liter flat 6 sounds do Ferrari like
This is a 3.8L X51 engine, it's pulled from a 991.1 GTS (2015) 911.
What diffuser???

@@Flat6Motorsports thanks!
Great job!
I always wanted to have GT4/Boxster Spyder with PDK.
Any Boxster with PDK and engine swap would be work you think?
Can the headers pass emision?
