Fyi if you ever want to free rev it, while driving, very few people know this trick with the PDK. Pull on both paddles at the same time. And that puts it in neutral. You can free rev it, like when you are cruising under an overpass, or in a tunnel, make it sound cool then pull either paddle to put it back in gear.
Unfortunately this only works on the gt cars eg. Gts, gt4… this doesn’t work on my car annoyingly😥

This is a REALLY good exhaust setup, as it sounds (like you mention) like a GT3 kind of tone but with a classy texture similar to a stock sports exhaust, very nice 👍

I'm from across the big pond in Florida. Excellent choice on the Fabspeed headers, as I have them on my 2010 2nd gen Cayman S also. Don't know if Remus offers a race cat-back system for the 981 or not, but if they do you may want to consider the system. I have this system on my 987.2 and it's a 3 into 1 split system (not tied together); bank 1 & bank 2 center exit dual tips. Intake side 82 mm TB (GT3), IPD plenum along with BMC air filters = 370 +flywheel HP. Your car is sounding good. The GT3 engine is in the same engine family as 2nd gen Cayman, 981 & 911's just built a bit more.

The Fabspeed kit is very good, but if you’re “shopping” recommend you strongly consider the SOUL Performance competition headers with two way valved exhaust. Comparable sound, perfect fit installation, good value. Plus full life time warranty for street and track use.

Nice car, the exhaust is a bit too loud for me if it sounds like this without a switchable button to tone it down. I don’t know where you live but there seems to be good stretch of roads. I recently bought a Cayman 981 after extensive testing driving of 3.4 PDK and manual, I settled for the manual as I felt more engaged swapping gears of one of the best cogs. As an urbanite with 20 mph speed limit and loads of speed cameras, I settled for the 2.7 which can be a license looser if you’re not careful. Finally your exhaust sounds epic especially in an isolated road, in a built up area perhaps not pleasing.
