Bethany, I’m so sorry you had to go thru all that mess with your parents. I think these creatures know a child’s sorrow, I’ve listened to so many stories of these creatures being kind to lost children, children that were orphaned, and so many more. A mother is a mother, some are good some are not. I hope you are well and doing great. Thank you so much for sharing your incredible encounter stories with us.

About 15 yrs back, my husband and his good friend were fishing a small, deep pond in a remote wooded area in a small John boat in Northeast Georgia when he noticed what he initially thought was a black lab, going along the far bank of the pond.
Rather quickly, he noticed that it was exhibiting odd, cat-like body language and the “black lab” had a *very* long tail and long fur growing along the length of the back of all its legs. He realized it was a (very) large black panther. He said he was thunderstruck and his blood ran cold... a feeling my husband wasn’t used to, as his entire life he has spent every moment possible in the woods. My husband is a large man, at 6’ 4” and isn’t afraid of much in this world but that day, he and his friend became too afraid to stay, even though they were in a boat, in the middle of the pond. They watched the big cat until it skulked back into the woods and they quickly got to the opposite bank, loaded the little boat and got out of there. My husband has never returned to that particular honey hole. God as my witness, this is the truth.

As a chain business owner in Arizona. I know what it takes to be successful in any type of business and the hardships it can entail. Every time there is a new video, story, podcast I get excited and anxious to hear the topic and of course the story itself. I want to say thanks for everything you do and I really appreciate your works. They are extreme valuable to individuals for their enjoyment which directly leads to their well being. Remember this, you increase the quality of people’s lives with the amazing gifted work, yes it’s a gift that you perform on a regular basis. God bless you sir and please continue putting smiles on people faces.

Thanks Mark. I appreciate that. Like you, I am self employed. I have been on my own payroll for 30 years now. If a man enjoys what he does it doesn't seem like work does it?

@@DixieCryptid I wholeheartedly agree with the work statement. They say you’re truly successful when you enjoy what you do for a living. So very true, like when food tastes better when someone that cooks it loves to cook and puts their heart into it. I believe words/stories sound better when someone puts their heart into them. You’re great proof of that!

He had shoot the biggest black cat I had ever seem. I actually got to touch it. This was in 1980 at Moffetts Groceries.

Hey Cam- I’m an IT professional and it’s not that we’re having trouble typing in the website into the browser. The problem appears to be with your SSL certificate that your hosting company y is using for the website. The ssl does not appear to be configured correctly. Sometimes this can be solved by republishing your website or you may need to rekey the certificate or issue a new csr off the server. Again it sounds like you use a template based website so I’d call their IT support and check with them because working on the ssl may not be possible for you to do personally. Just a heads up when I try going to your website both my browser and ISP say your website is not safe. Could have malware on it or just be the ssl issue I mentioned. Anyways good luck with it and keep the awesome stories coming thanks sir. God bless

My Wife saw a Cougar there too...wasn't long after we were married... which I'd say 48 yrs. ago. Those cats were around then... I'd bet they are still around today.

Cam , I have seen big cats here in Oklahoma several times . A couple of those were jet black . I worked in the oilfield for 35 years and was out on back country roads a lot . The Fish and Game people here claim there are no black cats here but I know what I saw. To top it off , several years back around 20 , we were having a wet season and the Cimarron River was spilling out of it's banks and running hard . There was an old abandoned farm house that the river kept getting closer to everyday so a local news station had their helicopter guy fly over and video it everyday to try and catch when the river swept it away. In the process of videoing the river they caught a big ole black panther walking down a trail next to the river. I saw it on two replays, then they removed it from the series they would replay daily to show the river getting closer and closer to the old farm house . I'm thinking some one asked or told them to not show it again ! Ya mentioned , no one ever sees two at the same time, ha, most never see one . I've seen cougars several times and lots of bobcats but never more than one at the time. Just my two cents ! Loved the stories tonight . . . . as always !

Cam, I sold an 80 acre parcel of land to another family that lives in the area. I was the executor of my mothers estate at the time. I believe it might be exactly the same piece of property we sold. We had a small camp next to a small lake way back next to the Bayou and use to use it all the time. It had a mile and a half limestone private road and our property bordered a full mile on the road. It sure sounds like the same ground where I had to defend myself against that big black booger a long time ago. It is described just like I remember the property and the road turns into an old logging road at the end. I know there are many wild things in that woods along the bayou and have seen them first hand. I never warned anybody about that property or that area and I hope nobody has an encounter like I did back there.

I’ve listened to and liked your podcasts. Wanted to tell you that the fictional story of a cryptid hunter is really well written and compelling.

    I really liked Bethany’s story
My hope is if I ever meet a Squatch that it will be a nice one, or the very least, a nonviolent one.

Me too. I do know that we have a gentle one. He lives on/ near my cousins home and she's seen him. He keeps predators off the property. She's home alone a lot with her baby girl. My cousin may be all kinds of crazy, but she is not a liar.

We definitely have bobcat in Mississippi. I hit one with my car a couple years ago out in the boonies in Tate county. I felt terrible! It ran out in front of my car and there was nothing I could do. Poor thing. 😔

I live in the boonies of Tate county and our neighbor shot two that were running straight at him in his backyard..it happened just a few months ago. We definitely have bobcats in Mississippi.

Bobcat vs panther. There are acknowled bobcats everywhere. I'm so sorry you hit one. 😥 That must have been traumatic.

@@andiiam8145 It was just a shock at first and then very sad. I don't think the poor thing suffered, though. It happened so fast I doubt it had time to really feel fear

Hi Cam, I heard a story years ago from a Native American and he stated in the narrative that there are good Sasquatch and bad ones, just like people, so that could be why some stories are as Bethany's and others are sharing encounters of a threatening sort. Best wishes on the new podcast. I'm a listener from your first couple of Dixie Cryptid videos and I've enjoyed them all.

Great stories thanks for that. I have seen a cougar here in Minnesota at 3:30 am trotting along the county road. They try to tell us they are not really here. As far as Bigfoot is concerned, they can't handle the truth. Take care.
