I owned a 1957 100-6 Austin Healy in 1973. It was my 11 grade Sumer project. I had it sandblasted and cleaned up rust. New rocker panels and paint . It had the six with dual carbs and 4 speed with electric overdrive. It had splined wire wheels which I sandblasted and repainted them. Very fun car to drive and sold in winter of 1973 for $1,200 .👍😀
Dennis, Thank you for making a video without the use of F Bombs and a constant beer commercial. I still watch some of Richard's videos when I'm alone, but never with my grandkids, he sends out the wrong message. That man is a gem. He has talent on loan from God. His car is a work of art. First time I’ve ever seen remote control windows. OUTSTANDING!!! This video is great.
I have been following this channel for over a year now and Dennis is really that great of a guy. Human of course, but a heart of gold it appears. (FYI- Many cars in the last 20 years come standard with remote windows on the factory key fob. I have had many Honda Accords , Nissan Rogue, Jaguar S Type but many are not aware. Just hold down the windows button and even the sunroof will open. Hold the up window button and all windows and roof will close. They just don't really advertise it on most cars.)
Don't feel bad guys, I got our Dodge dually with our gooseneck 15 yard roll off on it, buried in 2 feet of snow on Monday morning at 9k feet in elevationin SouthernColorado. I spent 4+ hours out there before I got out. Id take stuck in the mud. Lol
Goldie is literally a factory 1 off priceless piece of historical art work , don't think I've ever heard of any other auto makers building anything like er , outstanding doesn't do this episode justice ,
Back in the day even up to the 90s English and Japanese sometimes Italian car companies used to build these one of one car's only for shows like Earls court, some would end up in private hand's some would stay with in the company's own collection and other got crushed afterwards. My friend owned a one of one Toyota supra mk3 it had a total different dash and full adaptive airo body kit one off wheels. He got ran into from behind the insurance took over three year's to pay out because their was no money value on the car as no other one like it existed. It's amazing what car companies used to do just to show what they could do all for a show.
I have said it once I'll say it again Dennis is a Class Act always optimistic enjoys life and always positive doesn't let stupid stuff bring him down wish there was more people in the world like Dennis
What a car and with absolutely extraordinary provenance. I'm betting "Goldie" won Best of Show or Best Restoration... or both! Dennis' answers to the judges' questions were truly fascinating. I wonder if he will exhibit it at Pebble Beach or Amelia Island? Thanks Dennis for this bona fide automotive gem; it is an international-treasure.
I have been watching you boys for a fair while and as a mechanic and as a British man in his best years ( 50s) I love the fact dennis is a fan of our classic cars I am a member of Brooklands museum were they hold a lot of special days devoted to special makes and marks of all wheeled forms of transport and I love what you guys do to keep all these vehicles alive.

BMC made a prototype Austn Healey "4000" that was a widened 3000, the mga reminded me of an article I read about it probably 30 years ago. Another great episode Dennis
What a treat. A fellow Healey guy! I had the pleasure back in the late '60s to own a brace of them, a BN-6 and a BN-7. The 7 had a driver's side roll bar and triple SUs which in true tradition were a beeyotch to tune but when done right, she moved right quick. She had obviously been raced but I got no provenance with it, just cash on the barrel head. BR Green and tan seats, of course. The ivory Healey is...interesting. They wanted to build an eye-catcher and it worked. Mr. Doherty's V-8 MG with all the trimmings is just a mind-bender and probably unique. Congratulations to him for a beautiful piece of work/art. Fun fact: 1958 Oldsmobile station wagon wheels will bolt right on and they fit best if they are installed reversed. Of course I did it and man did it take the chatter out of the rear end! The much increased track made all the difference in the world. Much more stable in the corners, especially on rough dirt roads. 500+ Healeys! I stand in awe, Dennis. Cheers from Ottawa, ON. P.S.: Subscribed on the spot, white bell and all thumbs up henceforth. Dennis is a class act.
My Father had a Healey 3000, then an XK120 FHC then a series 1 E Type 4.2, He and my Mother worked next door to Jaguar at Browns lane GEC and saw the very first prototype E type rolled out of the back of the factory around 1957/58.
As many times as you have battery issues with the winch batteries, there is a way you can avoid this. Run a charge port on your 7 way plug. Once trailer is plugged in it will keep batteries charged. Always love watching these videos, and how Dennis always involves clients when going to lunch.
Many years ago I had the Healey 100/4. It was a beast, fast, 120 mph with some power left, and with brilliant road holding, 3 speed with overdrive.. The most beautiful car I ever owned.
My grandfather had a 3000 with front disk brakes, a 4 speed with electric overdrive, 2 seats (just a carpeted shelf in the back) and 3 single barrel side draft carbs. He did semi restore on British cars and this one was in his backyard for a very long time. Every time I visited, I would go out and look at it and dream about fixing it up. He did all the mechanical work on the car and the body work, then ran an ad in the paper to sell it. The new owner was able to pick the materials for the inside and the paint color. She ended up with Tobacco leather and candy apple red paint. The car was beautiful when it was done. Total price was $14,000 it was sold to her about 1997 in the SF bay area.
Love watching this channel, to see the real america and it,s people ( not the borrox we get on the news ) as much as the cars , and dennis is a true ambassador with the great team he has built !.......... Get you some of that !
I sold my 1962 AH BT7 last week, and they just came and picked it up today...so this is twice in the past three hours that I've seen a Healey loaded onto a trailer. One item of note, this is an earlier '62 due to the fact that it is a "side shift," mine was a center shift. These are wonderful cars to both work on and drive. I'll desperately miss her, but she's going to a good home and I already have my eye on a couple of E-Type Coupes. Congratulations on the find and can't wait for the reveal!
There's a reason the video was so early. Shawn just got back to the hotel around Ten pm Kentucky time, showed off the mud up to the elbows and said no way am I getting up in s few hours to upload. Doing right now. Don't blame him one bit.
@@WildHorsesOfCourse cool, thanks for that. I remember seeing this episode with the amazing Porsche collection, but not award ceremony, probably because I didn't know the background of the car back then. Now it all makes sense.
Goldie is a true one of one car and has a real no money value if you understand what I mean. There's collectors out there who are willing to pay any some of money for it, a collector in London offered Dennis three million dollars for it and Dennis declined the offer, I know of other private collectors who have offered him money when Dennis was in England and Dennis refused them all. I can definitely say Dennis love for this car out way's any money value put on it, the car has been valued why it's been in Dennis hand's and he never revealed it. What is it worth nothing because Dennis will never sell it. A car guy who truly love's car's
WOW! Appreciated that,Dennis. You’ve sure been at it for a while. Thank you for your story. How gutting “Goldie” didn’t get an award (it seems) Can’t believe what goes into the judging of these vehicles. Thanks very much for your efforts and your knowledge too. Regards, David.
The way in which that judge in Dubai touched, leaned on, rested his sunglasses on… and visibly wiped his sweaty hands on Goldie would have driven me nuts!! Kudos to DC for staying cool in the heat!
I love this show, and all the folks in the making of it, and I wait all week for a new episode. I just wanted to point out that a few weeks ago Dennis said that he didn't think that they have ever re-shot anything, but two or three video cuts in they had to reshoot the scene of leaving the Louisville Airport! Lol. This must be a first! I really love you guys and gals and will subscribe and watch forever!
Dennis, back in the early 60’s, I had a MGA, and just loved it. A friend ordered an Austin Healy 3000, and I was with. Him when he took delivery, Dennis, it was absolutely gorgeous. But I still liked my MGA.

The hard part about getting the trailer out is trying not to wreck the gentleman's yard. They could get it out with a small Cat or maybe even a large rubber tracked Kaboda or something but they would just rip that field to shreds every time they turned a bit.
Double Wow!! I haven’t seen Dennis since the gas monkey days, and he is an absolute national treasure!! His respect for everyone around him is stunning in this day and age! The word Refreshing comes to mind. Thank you so much for this way cool video.💥👍👍🤙
Dennis Collins I have noticed quite often you have flat batteries on your trailers. The perfect solution is to fit a dual battery system off your truck. You could power the winch two ways. Run an Anderson plug to rear mounted near your trailer plug and directly to the winch or topping up your battery on the trailer. Owning a 4wd accessory store, I’m surprised if you don’t fit these every day.
Back in the 60s, I had a neighbor that had a 100-6 that had an overdrive transmission. I think he took me for one ride in the neighborhood, which cemented my love for the big Healeys.
That old tractor brings back memories. my family grew apple's and pole beans with 3 machines. A Ford 3000 Ford 4600. And a A Farmall cub cultivator. They were sold yrs ago but I know the owners, and all 3 still run.
Even with the current dip in the market I'm still glad can smile back at my portfolio of $32,500 built from my weekly trade, all thanks to my advisor fergus Waylen
I have also been trading with him and the profits are secured and over a 100% return on investment directly sent to your wallet. Lack of trade discipline is the primary reason for in day trade losses. It is estimated that nearly 80-85% of day traders end up losing money in the stock market
Hi, Dennis; There is something commercially available that is better and cheaper than a winch if you find yourself stuck in soft muck, sand or snow. It's a device that fits over the bolt holes on your wheel/s that is a druml which holds up to 100' of line. When stuck you insert the end of the line into the drum, tie the other end onto the base of a tree, truck, or a 5' rod you pound into the ground, then put the truck in gear and spool yourself out. If you have 4 wheel drive and lockers, or two wheel drive with a limited slip differential, only one rope and drum is required. If you have only two wheel drive it will require two ropes. One around each spool drum, and away you go. It worked well on my 33' schoolie bus if I got stuck in Mexico, Guatemala, or parts of our country whenever I got stuck One of these mounted on a front wheel of your ram should do the job. I enjoy your fine videos, and the great interaction you have with your crew. Michael Rzewuski
Loving this from the England. We used to see quite a few Austin Healeys in the Sixties and early 70s. Nothing quite compares does it, especially in the right colour or colour combo. A real man's car.
Even with the current dip in cryptocurrency, I’m still glad I can smile 😊 back at my portfolio of $105,850 built from my weekly trade, I’m having my fourth withdrawal in 10 business days.
Outstanding!!! A Coffee Walk episode featuring two iconic British Cars. Putting a V8 in an MGA is a feat of engineering and fabrication. However, the power windows in that MGA are pure sorcery 😅
They don’t make men like that old timer anymore. What he did to that car is amazing !! Those small cars like that are not for me but i can definitely admire it for what it is. ❤
In 1965 my father and I installed a 327 cu inch chevy in an 1957 Austin Healy 1500, and we didn't own a garage or paved driveway. The Austin Healy's driveshaft fit inside the chevy driveshaft in a tight fit and just welded it up.

With everything going on right now, the best decision to be on any creative man's heart is having a profitable investment strategy.
Even with the current dip in the market I'm still glad can smile back at my portfolio of $32,500 built from my weekly trade, all thanks to my advisor fergus Waylen
@Jo se I definitely agree this current DIP is a huge opportunity to buy the DIP and also high volatility to yield more profit for day traders
I wanted to trade crypto but got confused by the fluctuations in price
I have also been trading with him and the profits are secured and over a 100% return on investment directly sent to your wallet.
Lack of trade discipline is the primary reason for in day trade losses. It is estimated that nearly 80-85% of day traders end up losing money in the stock market
Same here, started with $3,000 now earning $28,300 bi-weekly profits with his trading program.
Hi, Dennis;
There is something commercially available that is better and cheaper than a winch if you find yourself stuck in soft muck, sand or snow.
It worked well on my 33' schoolie bus if I got stuck in Mexico, Guatemala, or parts of our country whenever I got stuck
One of these mounted on a front wheel of your ram should do the job.
I enjoy your fine videos, and the great interaction you have with your crew.

Shawn if you take your other hand out of your pocket you can work harder!!! Lol
Thank you. And,if he gets a burr from that wench cable jammed in his hand...he won't be embarrassed to wear gloves. Or any type of work clothes.
Great video. In that last segment Dennis looks like he's straight out of Miami Vice! Same classy guy, then and now.
Alex would have just backed down the driveway and not got stuck.
Loving this from the England. We used to see quite a few Austin Healeys in the Sixties and early 70s. Nothing quite compares does it, especially in the right colour or colour combo. A real man's car.
I think I am blessed because I couldn’t have met someone who is as spectacular as expert Mr Richard, I’ve made a lot of profits in the past few days
I'm now a Bitcoin millionaire🤑
Even with the current dip in cryptocurrency, I’m still glad I can smile 😊 back at my portfolio of $105,850 built from my weekly trade, I’m having my fourth withdrawal in 10 business days.
You are right 😊, just bought a house after invested $10,000 and am now making $30,000 every 14days. It's been a life changing experience.
@@kelvinsmith7138 How?
Is there a coach/mentor, please am interested in getting to know how it all works !!
I had a '64 3000.
Best sportscar for airflow protection in the cockpit.
Great for very tall drivers. I'm 6' 4".
Love the Overdrive switch.
Rule #1 for professional truck driver. Always back-in!
Dennis is so knowledgeable when it comes to the old cars he’s probably forgot more than most people know in a lifetime
I think we sent most of these to the USA in the 50's - beautiful MGA with a V8 - and man you have great garages to store your cars in ..
Outstanding!!! A Coffee Walk episode featuring two iconic British Cars.
Putting a V8 in an MGA is a feat of engineering and fabrication. However, the power windows in that MGA are pure sorcery 😅
Nice town, beautiful homes, lovely weather in the summer, and fun people
A Coffee Walk before noon on Friday. My day complete.
I love how knowledgeable Dennis is on all makes and models of cars. I don’t think there is anyone else in the world that compares to his knowledge.
To coin a phrase, OUTSTANDING! Thanks for sharing your story of Goldie.
They don’t make men like that old timer anymore. What he did to that car is amazing !! Those small cars like that are not for me but i can definitely admire it for what it is. ❤
OUTSTANDING
this mans knowledge of history never ceases to amaze me. he is a true curator and enthusiast!
In 1965 my father and I installed a 327 cu inch chevy in an 1957 Austin Healy 1500, and we didn't own a garage or paved driveway. The Austin Healy's driveshaft fit inside the chevy driveshaft in a tight fit and just welded it up.
My first car at 15 yrs old was a 59 MGA. And as of today still my favorite car ever owned.
I went nuts over the MGA! My Dad had one for years and he’s a Ford man. So I had to forward this to him!
Dennis and Kim looked amazing driving Goldie on that parade! Very good work!
