I love the way Dennis always includes Zach, even though he is on the camera and can't answer back. A lot of productions would just ignore the camera guy, but not Dennis; Dennis appreciates anyone who works their ass off and helps make the team a success. Zach certainly fits the bill on that account.
Watched the show Today and afterword headed straight to Pucket's which is 5 minutes from my home and for the first time in my life ordered the meatloaf as until now thought nobody could outdue my wifes it's her birthday by the way told her we'd go wherever she wanted as long as it was Puckets LOL anyway it was Outstanding!
Shaun P is about as enthusiastic as a wallflower on this episode. Dennis if you're interested I know of a antiquated junkyard in Arizona that you might want to take a look at
Finding the old cars, meeting the owners and finding the local places to eat is awesome. Thanks for bringing it to us each week every time I take the old cars out or go part hunting I always make the most of it. Look forward to seeing more
Shawn P not awake today early. Looks like he been driven all night, at least after a good meal, he,s back to the old SP. great find Dennis. Another one rescued.
Like always I will put on your show each week or so, and the world around me melts away for that half an hour. Its almost like coming along with you guys and then having to go back home at the end. Other shows are good but I usually do not ride shotgun with them. Thanks for bringing me along.
shawn is right , you don't want to load a car with no brakes going downhill .... you can control its movement with the winch going uphill , if it's going down it could roll towards the front of the trailer with no control
Shawn annoys me for some reason. He just has a bad attitude sometimes. If he could walk a mile in someone else's shoes for about a year he'd realize what an amazing opportunity it is to work for a guy like Dennis.
This shout out is for Zach , his work truly outshines all the big you tubers big boys. Gas Monkey has a bunch of people, so does Diesel Dave, Fantomworks, etc. Zach’s quality outshines them all.👍

Back in 1972, I was working for my Dad at his body shop....his mechanic brought in a 68 Cougar that had a 427 4 speed....I got to drive it.....man that rig would $HIT AND GET!
That three on the tree takes me back to the F100 Sport Custom, three on the tree 302 learned to drive on…kids today have no idea “the fun” that was to experience…thank you for what you all do! All the cars of our (my) youth get to see again!

I really wish I would have known about Dennis when I sold my collection of 55, 56, 57 T-Birds a few years ago. I had several show winners. All original and unrestored. I had a California born 56 with factory air 14k original miles. Anyhow, I love watching these rescues.
Like your C10, I just found a purchased a 1955 Chevy Bel Air 2 door one owner, parked inside since 1978. 4 barrel, dual exhaust and overdrive. 100% stock. The tubes in the tires held air long enough for us to put it on the trailer and unload it. It's was a dream find in the middle of nowhere Kansas. McDonald Kansas to be exact. Now it's with me in Denver
Oh this brought back so many memories. As a late teen I had a 68 Cougar XR7 Gt. 390 with an auto. Had the overhead console. Red on Red. Crazy fast car. Had it 3 or 4 years and sold it. That guy lost control and destroyed it into a tree. Wow to have it to do over lol
I love this episode. I use to live in Nashville, tn. I remember back in 1976 my brother just started driving for the first time and was looking for a car to buy and we found a 1969 cougar eliminator that had a big block 428 cu. Inch engine from the factory. The car was at Jim Reed Chevrolet dealership in Nashville. It was red with black strips on the side and a flat black hood with a cast iron hood scoop. It came that way from the factory. I remember when he started It up. The whole car shook and was pretty loud. Needless to say he didn't buy it. He ended up buying a 1972 Cuda 340 cu. with the pistol grip four speed instead. Imagine what these cars would be worth now. Good memories.
Shawn P was in rare form that day lol , it all works out with the best boss in the world. Always loved the Cougar and that's a very rare one , a great find . I sure hope it gets a complete restoration, it truly deserves it with the rarity of it.
So funny! I am 51. I've never seen this body style growing up. There are 2 on different farms within a mile from me. My Dad and i have been talking about them for a month.
I had several Mustangs and I enjoyed them all until I bought a 1970 XR7 Cougar with 351 Windsor gold exterior black interior and fell in Love ! It fit me like a glove. She was fast up to around 75, I moved up north and found another 70 gold XR7 in a junkyard when dating my future wife for $150, needed points. Same everything as first but had a cleveland 351. This really hauled the mail. At 61 I can only dream of all the cool cars I had because in '79 the second gas crunch came and cars like them were a dime a dozen...
Reminds me of my brother, in 1979 he bought a 1969 cougar with the same motor, convertible. I always like the 1970 hood change, and then they went to crap from 1971 on.
Great video . Car and truck are great . Truck is a lot nicer than an old beat up but dependable truck my dad had . He always said every man needs a nice truck and a dependable " go to hell truck " . That is defined as dependable but beat so you could take trash or any other of a thousand possibilities and not worry about denting , scratching , or getting dirty your good old go to hell truck . I miss my dad .
Cool truck , Your learning to drive in an old Ford truck brought me to a story of a letter I found of my fathers , this written to his mother back as a young boy visiting his Uncles Texas Farm . The visit included his learning to drive a 32 Ford , afterwards he was awarded trips into town for supply’s through the summertime . It was pure gold to find my fathers first driving experience , best gift .
I'm diggin that 80s Dodge Ram & that Duster in the garage! I also love that '71 Chevy with the 3 on the tree, I learned how to drive in a '70 Ford Ranger 302 3 on the tree! ✌💖☮
I started watching Dennis about 2 weeks ago. I was only aware of him from his dealings with Rawlings. Dennis is 180 degrees from Rawlings. I have been binge watching now to catch up. Dennis is THE best guy to come visit you and Buy things. Obviously respects his employees and the owners he is dealing with. Can't wait to be able to say...I've seen All his Videos. Billy
Dennis…………………you and your crew nail it every time! Great cars, great sellers, great restaurants, what more could you ask for? 60 is the new 40, don’t I wish.
I love how Shawn is like kk let’s load this thing and hit the road. Let me do my thing lol love it. Dennis has a ton of knowledge but I know exactly how Shawn is feeling. I’m sure he’d be just as excited if he owned it.
My mother had a 1970 Cougar when i first got my license and that's what I learned to drive in. I put many, many, miles cruising that baby around. It had a 351 Cleveland with automatic transmission. It would bark 2nd gear every time if you got into it. Lots of memories in that thing and I wish I still had it.
My friend had a 1968 GTE with a 427. This car was crazy fast. I was with him when he blew the doors off a Dodge that had 440 with a six pack racing light to light in North Grants Pass Oregon . Oh to be young again.😎
I remember back in the day, seeing "full color ads" for a Cougar Eliminator! I grew up in SW Ontario & I never ever seen a real one on the road here. Of course I wanted the 428CJ version, as I was 16 at the time.🤩
I learned to drive on my dads '69 Chevy pick up, 3-on-the-tree. 1st new vehicle he ever bought. That truck never did quit. When he sold it in the '80s, the bed had rotted out, but that engine was still going.
My dad had a 1967 Chevy custom 10. 8 ft Fleetside bed , Straight 6, three on the tree. He bought it brand new in 1967. I was 12 years old in 1978 when he taught me how to drive standard transmission in that truck. I miss them both very much!
Wow beautiful truck. Dad bought a 72 same colour, transmission was toast. Someone put loud cheap exhaust on it and slicksters on the rear end. 350 V8 automatic. Had the truck painted inside and out jet black, clear coat. Recovered the seat in black. Tinted the windows. New wood in the box. New transmission, Rally Wheels and a proper exhaust. And the Heartbeat of America decal (even if was GMC). No positrack no four barrel. "Baby". Sold it to a friend from work cash money.
Great show! Love the rare Cougar Big block with a stick, my kind of car. We had a 69 Cougar, actual grandma car from Florida. Our Grandma bought it new. She gave it to my brother and he built the car with a 428 SCJ, LeMans Rods, Holly Dominator, C-6 trans 9" rear 411 Detroit locker. Was a beast. Would love to build something a bit tamer, this car would be a great start...
One of my top 5 American Muscle Cars, This car, and a 1967 Camaro Z/28 RS/SS, 1963 Buick Riviera, 1970 Z/28 RS/SS 4-Speed, 1969 Firebird Trans Am convertible 4-speed... I hope we get to see the Cougar when the restoration is complete!!
A friends dad had a 70 rs/ss split bumper camaro. Factory 402ci 4 speed car. black exterior/interior with gold strips. Chin splitter with the spoiler on the trunk. The car was imaculant. There wasn't a tear anywhere in the inside or a scratch outside. So he got drug by a 2v cleveland powered maverick. He didn't want any from the 72 torino sport 429 bbf. He made the mistake of trying the cleveland. Anyway my friends mom passed away from cancer, so his dad went off on a drug binge. He would constantly pawn the car and get it back. That went on for a while. Eventually he sold it pretty cheap for drug money. The guy that bought it borrowed the money from his dad. He Had his son say grandpa molested him, which was a lie. While the grandpa was in jail his son told him he was keeping the car and not paying back a dime that was loaned to him to buy it. So when they locked up the son, his father took a torch and cut the drivetrain out of the car 402/ m22 4 speed/ 12 bolt. My uncle paid $500 for all the drivetrain just to replace a rod knocking 454 in his dually. The guy took the car to the salvage yard and watched them crush it.
Yea well Richard likes to have people to call and kick tires..... let's say he paid $7,500 for the truck and everybody knows and now he wants $15,500 each and every person is going to bad mouth him and get into the I know you only paid xxx for it and then it turns into a shit show....... doesn't matter what he paid for it or anything.....you don't realize he has employees, trucks, trailers, fuel, air fair, car rental gets it back they go through it brakes, shocks, tires, exhaust system, fuel tank sending unit and lines, battery time and materials aren't free. He's in business to make money not break even...you can do what he does go out look around look in back yards, barns, farms ect. Do the research... back in the early 80s I was buying stuff like that truck and cougar out of back yards for anywhere from $200-$500 bucks....but now with the big wallet guys you can't get a father son project for under $15k and that's needing total resto rough but not scrap but really close to beyond repair..... and whoever started the patina thing spraying clear over the Rusty dented panels should be slapped...... you ran out of money or patience or both and got lazy.old cars and trucks are big business now they buy them restore them and put them in a garage where no one can appreciate them......the next time you see it it's on the auction at Barrett Jackson being bid up by someone with more money than brains..... sorry for the rant but I have watched the hobby go down hill for a long time now....see them at local car shows not knowing what end of a screw driver to use owning some beautiful machines....great show as always Dennis keep doing your thing 👍👌✌️🇺🇸🇺🇲
@@ronaldmoparornocar9590 100%% agree with everything you said...that being said, i respect richard that much more because he just doesnt give a fuck. he found the deal and we didnt, he sets his price and im sure he isnt dealing with ANY tire kicking. come buy it or get lost lol he isnt some marketplace ad

I learned to drive a three on the tree in a 69 Chev pickup owned by my old girlfriend’s grandfather. He was a farmer and used it all the time, that was back in 75 when it was still not too old.
I had two 1968 Cougar XR7 GTs both 4sps one had head rests both 100% original right down to the shift knobs and both 3:25 rears, if I had only known the way things were going to go AND just a few miles away a 68 XR7 GTE (427) was pulled out of a guys garage after many years of sitting.
Nice, I had a 69 XR7 390 black leather high back buckets with headrest. Black vinyl roof Silver with eliminator decals and hood scoop. Craigars,,air shocks, TA 50's and the ol traction bars. 'The 390 was factory replacement when engine caught fire. My parents car 1980 in High School. We had the cars back then. The average bad ass car was around 2 grand Max. Now they are worth 20-50 grand. I'm glad my buddies were into cars. Those were the days.
Hey. Dennis, if your ever in a situation where you're driving a car with no brakes, you can use the emergency brake , just hold the handle together so it can't lock up !
I love this episode. It reminded me of my 1967 Mercury Cougar GT 4 speed (1st year of the Cougar) I had in high school. Same color except mine had a black vinyl top. Wish I could have held onto it but made the mistake of have a friend overhaul it in a college auto mechanics class. Trusted my friend but there were “other” hands on it too. The car was the same after that.
Yeah Shawn was laboring in this one, looked a little stiff and sore. That wonderful food you had picked him up :D Great stuff as always Dennis, keep 'em coming!
Dennis saying "I haven't done a Cougar in awhile" is priceless .
Yeah, I caught that too....😎
@12:05 "you're gonna have another beautiful load sean".........that one hit the cringe meter a little too lol
Haha...right?
And Sean stating that, it's not about the size🤣

That truck is freaking awesome! Sounds very healthy and badass 💯👍👍
Love it when Shawn is in a pissy mood and talks back to the Boss. Legend !!
Nice car. I have a 67 Highland Green 289 factory 4 speed XR7 with swing away wheel , four piston front disc brakes and styled steel wheels. It is NFS.
Much adoration to King Dennis and his courtiers. Best regards from New Zealand
That’s what I learned to drive in. It was my brother’s truck!! Sooo much fun to drive. 👍👍♥️🇺🇸
Thanks for not muting the prices! would love to see pricing on cars in the condition they're picked up in.
if only he would do that with the vehicles like richard
Do the research... back in the early 80s I was buying stuff like that truck and cougar out of back yards for anywhere from $200-$500 bucks....but now with the big wallet guys you can't get a father son project for under $15k and that's needing total resto rough but not scrap but really close to beyond repair..... and whoever started the patina thing spraying clear over the Rusty dented panels should be slapped...... you ran out of money or patience or both and got lazy.old cars and trucks are big business now they buy them restore them and put them in a garage where no one can appreciate them......the next time you see it it's on the auction at Barrett Jackson being bid up by someone with more money than brains..... sorry for the rant but I have watched the hobby go down hill for a long time now....see them at local car shows not knowing what end of a screw driver to use owning some beautiful machines....great show as always Dennis keep doing your thing
👍👌✌️🇺🇸🇺🇲
@@ronaldmoparornocar9590 100%% agree with everything you said...that being said, i respect richard that much more because he just doesnt give a fuck. he found the deal and we didnt, he sets his price and im sure he isnt dealing with ANY tire kicking. come buy it or get lost lol he isnt some marketplace ad
@@jdoy70 you are correct Sir.... unfortunately that's what has to be done sometimes..... becoming more frequent with the people who have never done it before but know you are doing it wrong crowd......it can get interesting when they think they know but have not a clue......I am too old a cat to be fucked by kittens....if you know what I mean 😉
I learned to drive a three on the tree in a 69 Chev pickup owned by my old girlfriend’s grandfather. He was a farmer and used it all the time, that was back in 75 when it was still not too old.
Beauty work y'all, love them cougars, coolest taillights, headlights, rare air indeed!...and the food, wow, I love meatloaf!

Ok, that meatloaf looked incredible : )
Loved the show !
I have been redoing my wife's 67 cardinal red cougar for the last two years. Just got it painted Nov. 2022, needs interor and bumpers to finsh.
I had a '67 Cougar, 289 car. Love that FE, 4-speed.
That was a happy ,positive ,delightful episode ..Thank you Dennis and your superb Team !😎👍🏻
Man! That 3 on the tree brings back some serious childhood memories. What an awesome truck!👍👍
Cool video. Food Looked Amazing. Meatloaf Looks Amazing!! G
outstanding dennis
Hey. Dennis, if your ever in a situation where you're driving a car with no brakes, you can use the emergency brake , just hold the handle together so it can't lock up !
Dennis the 🐐when it comes to cars an food in one channel👍✌️
I love this episode. It reminded me of my 1967 Mercury Cougar GT 4 speed (1st year of the Cougar) I had in high school. Same color except mine had a black vinyl top. Wish I could have held onto it but made the mistake of have a friend overhaul it in a college auto mechanics class. Trusted my friend but there were “other” hands on it too. The car was the same after that.
Yeah Shawn was laboring in this one, looked a little stiff and sore. That wonderful food you had picked him up :D Great stuff as always Dennis, keep 'em coming!
That cougar is basically my dream car.
