- On a BUDGET to save money!!! FRP or PVC panels are very important in a Food Truck/Trailers. Installation takes time and not a whole lot of money. Not to many tools are needed, but are a must. Clean, Hard, Washable, Smooth surface is needed to PASS INSPECTIONS. I will show and explain in detail everything and more. This is Part 5, How to build a Food Truck/Trailer with The Seamster.

Thank you so much for these videos. My buddy and I are fixing up an old camper trailer and your videos are lifesaving! We are currently placing the FRP on the walls, and you make it look so easy man haha
Nate Teahan Right On Nate! I will have more videos very soon. The SEAMSTER
I've watched several of your videos, but I NEEDED this video today. I just installed my first window and will attempt the second this weekend. FRP coming up soon. It feels pretty overwhelming so THANK YOU FOR THE PEP TALK!
Awesome and I have new videos up for you now :)
Thank you for sharing! I love the all white over the stainless steel look. It looks cleaner.
I do agree. The stainless steel does pull light and does not reflect like the bright white FRP. Much cleaner look to it :)
Best lineup of “how to” videos on food trucks on all of youtube!!! Im planning on starting to build a food truck by this time next year!
My friend this is great news. If I could make a suggestion now for you. Please get started on your application to build. This will take a few months to get approved. Most people just start build and don't get approval to build and then fail their 1st inspection. Start Drawing up your design and come up with a solid line up of foods to serve that will make easy fast $$$. Stay tuned for more great videos to come!
Thank you so much sir. You not only showed me so much but your words and soul you shared will be appreciated. Me and my buddies are really excited about our truck we're just trying to make it work
I've been searching for some instruction on installing FRP boards and specifically how to handle the different types of trim (end, inside corner, outside corner, etc..). I'm working on a bar not a food truck, but this was the most helpful video I found so far on installing FRP and dealing with the corners.
Thank you!
How did it go for you?
Oh Mate !! Loved all the food truck videos, gonna be a big help, I’m just starting a food trailer in London, great energy!!! Very positive!! Many Thanks 🙏 Spud
Hello to London! The SEAMSTER
Thank you I’m doing a shaved Ice trailer and gonna use FRP I learned so much watching you I’m gonna save money and make money doing this!!
Best FRP “how to” video I’ve seen, by far, and I’ve seen many. Great job, excellent and clear detail. Thanks for posting!
Thanks and some people don’t like me explaining it in detail so much.
What a great contribution you are making ,teaching people to become self sufficient! Thank you for your videos, I am learning a lot while I build my RV trailer.
How did it go for you?
@@TheSeamster I ended up using a material called Ultrabond so it eliminated a lot of sanding & filling while still staying light. Since mine is for Summer use only, I think it is quite suitable but not solid enough for year round use.
Very Good and don’t stop.
I appreciate you man giving us the down low. been wanting to do a food truck trailer for the longest time without knowledge it's kind of hard I recently came to the conclusion that I can sub some of the workout that I'm not able to do. you're awesome thank you!
Word Up! Thanks

Great tips thank you. Never installed FRP before.
Thank you for your very detailed and informative video. 🙌🏽 You’ve given me courage to retrofit my own trailer myself. I just need the most simplest food trailer so I may be able to do this. 🤞🏼
Great and I have new videos up now :)
Nice tutorial/inspiration Video. I'm about to do FRP in my new Gym's bathroom and this us by far the best FRP video I have seen yet. Thanks for the help.

Thanks and times have been very interesting indeed. The SEAMSTER
I got an smoker built and I really want to do a food trailer... you’re a great mentor thanks man
My Friend, the longer you wait, the more someone else takes your idea and does it. Trust me, easy money and fun, if it's the right foods!!! Start buying things slowly now.
I'm in Delaware. Just bought a flat 20' car hauler, new. Going to extend the width (3') and add 6' to the end. My project....to build a 10'x26' BBQ kitchen. Good luck with your project! The sooner the better.
My late grandma told me if your not going to be rich enough to pay someone to do it then you will have to learn how to do it. I learned a lot using that mindset. Seems like you also have
Same here. My grandma never lived to tell me. I just learned that the hard way.
Great advise
Very good video! I'm getting started on my trailer and was wondering how to do it the right way!! Thank you.
The trucking channel Excellent my friend and good luck. The SEAMSTER
Good work! Can’t wait to see more and more videos

Hype girl videos? What? Waiting...
We have since finished our truck while awaiting your videos to be posted but we really only needed to know the information from the first few videos. Look forward to more videos.
This is great news. I and others would like to see a finished product of the truck. Can you please post a video of it on your youtube? Thanks for the comment my friend and stay tuned for much more videos to come!
Thanks for all the information. Keep up the gate work
Thanks and new videos up for you :)
this is pure amazing! Thank you for sharing!
What's up brother, great job I get a lot of info from your work,I got me a truck and I am planning to turn it in a food truck and I don't have a lot of money to do it so I will try the cheapest way but looking great, thanks I'll keep on watching.
How did it go?
What a fantasticly informative video. Love your tips and tricks. SUBSCRIBED! It seems to me that you could use the construction adhesive to glue a metal fender washer on the backside of your sliding FRP doors and drill a pocket for a 1/2"round rare earth magnets (like are in packages at Hobby Lobby or some such) into the FRP on the cabinet side and hold your doors in place (but magnetic seal easily breakable with a little finger pressure in your cabinet door holes.
Yes that is a good idea. We dont open the doors to often, only in the beginning or end of day. So we really didnt put to much thought into it. Just based it off an older food trailer we had. Thanks The SEAMSTER
Excellent information and a thumbs up 👍
Thanks 👍The SEAMSTER
You're definitely making my dream come true. Bless you 🙏 ♥
Keep on pushing and get it done!
I cut all my FRP by clamping some flat bar down run my knife along 4 to 5 times putting a little pressure while cutting into the back side of the FRP then put pressure working it up and down a few times until it breaks away use a flat file to smooth off any sharp edges the install my FRP
Thanks
Great video very motivated. Yes we can.. gracias
Great video, thank you for sharing!
Thanks and you can do it!
I'm doing my basement shower tomorrow. I really appreciate this. I wish the panels were still only $25 a piece! haha! #pandemicprices! :P I paid $36+tax (per sheet). I got a 2-3 gallon bucket of glue for $22. However, the man helping me at Lowes did tiling for about 30 years and said that the liquid nails will eventually show through the FRP (maybe the PH level or something). Have you seen that happen yet?
Well anyhow, I love what you've done here. Thank you so much for blessing so many people with the effort.
God bless,
Christine
Nope it still looks like new and good job :)
@@TheSeamster thank you. :)

I found your channel because I wanted to see how to work with frp in my automotive repair shop. I subscribed because I like how you explain everything and you have a great positive attitude. I am sure this channel is going to get big! Best of luck to you and I will be watching.
Ball Zach Thank You my friend for the great comment. The SEAMSTER

Right On! Thanks
Thank you so much, you explain everything with small details
Amazing 👍
Thanks You my Friend for the comment. Part 6 will be very interesting if you have or building a Food Truck. I will show you how to have an extended bumper to set your propane tank or generator on.
Perfect, yes I’m planning to build one sooner 😊
@@fuadodeh6369 Yes, there are many trucks out there for a good price. But make sure you get one that has the double doors in the back and not a roll up door. When you open it, dirt and stuff falls all over the place. YOU CAN DO IT!!!!
Appreciate your advice 😊
@@TheSeamster Thanks for the video. I was wondering do you have or plan on doing a video for floor installation?
You are the best , men with gold hands
These hands are getting very tired lately! Thanks The SEAMSTER
I just subscribed to your channel. My dream is to have a food truck. I am doing research now. Thanks for the videos
You can do it. Get the truck and get movin!
Thanks you so much! I love your videos, it’s refreshing to have a regular guy explaining stuff & realizing some of us are trying hard as hell but still can’t afford wall to wall stainless or buying an expensive item vs making it
I do have a question tho.. (I’m converting a short bus-so none of the wall channels)
When you attached the wire shelf over the window what are you attaching to? It’s not an option to drill in the metal & have stuff sticking outside everywhere but I couldn’t tell what your attaching to other than the metal channels your box has. (I really don’t have anything to attach studs to other than the actual wall)
Thanks again! 😊
Hmmmmmm, I understand and thanks for the comment. The upper shelves will most def need to be held with screws and I dont recommend an super strong adhesive, because it could break away. Without some sort of channel to screw into, I just cant recommend. Unless you have legs come up from the counter and then use adhesive to hold the clips against the wall? Then the Adhesive would not be holding the weight, but more just stabilizing your shelf. The SEAMSTER
Excellent video
Thanks Again!
Dude you are awesome. I just bought a food truck gave it to a guy who does Venthood and it needed some extra work he charged me 10k and didn’t finished the job . I didn’t want to fight it wasn’t worth it so I let it go
Bravo, nice job... Salute from Croatia
Awesome and thanks all the way to Croatia!! The SEAMSTER
Thank you for your insights. I'm searching for a truck or bus to convert for my hot dog business. My husband is just like you....jack of all trades and master of most. I've been on Facebook and found a couple of options. But I didn't feel they were the right one. I'm still looking. Never giving up! I have subscribed to your channel and look forward to watching it grow 💚
Very good! Yes marketplace is the best option. My opinion but stay away from diesel unless he can fix injectors when they clog up. I had to drive 4 hours to buy our truck and was worth it. Good Luck and get to it!
@@TheSeamster 💚🙂
gracias mi hermano por la instruccion

Can I get away with a stand up A.C.?
Was thinking about venting it out the rear
@@RH-qk5od We had one in our PAST Concession Trailer. There was never a complaint from the Inspector as long as it don't block your path when making or selling food. Yes, it does get very hot, even with all the windows open.
Hey buddy enjoy your trip to the haunted house or the Ghost Ship I have a real quick question I know you did mention it in one of your videos about which model hot water heater you will be using I'm only asking Advanced I know you mentioned that it would be in your number 6 video however I'm just trying to accumulate all my stuff before I start putting together so my question is again what hot water heater are you using thank you in advance enjoy your Halloween and I'm waiting patiently for number 6 God bless
LOL one more question where did you pick up those sinks can't find them online guide me in the right path
I think you saved my life. N95 will be worn after seeing that xray!

This is great video. I am building a BBQ competition trailer and I am at the point of covering my walls. I had decided on FRP and was doing some research when your channel popped up. I bought my FRP board and trim today so the install will start next week. Thanks for the video, you answered a lot of questions. LIKED and SUBSCRIBED!
Thank You my friend for the great comment and subscribing. There will much more to show in the upcoming months.
You can use electric metal cutting sheers to cut frp panels. Works great and no dust.
Looking great. Love the tips. I'm using this stuff in my school bus conversion in the shower :)
Love the positivity also! :)
Thanks
Hi awesome job. Love what you're doing I have been following you and just wondering if there is going to be a part 6 for the food truck build and thank you for keeping things inexpensive it really has been helping myself out building a food trailer.

Am impressed
Thanks for the comment. The SEAMSTER
Looks great 👍
Just a tip from my days as an apartment maintenance man, keep a small cup of warm water nearby and dip your finger before wiping the silicon. It will give you a smoother finish and also keep your finger cleaner.
Sounds like a great tip Johnny! I'll try it when I install my frp
Thank You my Friend. It is coming along nicely. Part 6 is in the works.
You are the man i starting my food truck now but i waiting for 6 not only to find out where you get your heater your grey water tank and the rest .I at a stand still so when can a expect 6?
Ebay is good for water tanks
I really enjoy your videos buddy, thank you very much ‼️ question: what about the ceiling?
I didnt do the ceiling it already had a nice one in it. If you do decide to do frp, it must have a bend upward to hold the shape and against gravity.
Man you totally rock!!
Thanks
Thank you so much for sharing, God bless you, I just suscribe, gracias amigo 👍
This is great news and please stay tuned for more videos on Food Trucks in the future. THE SEAMSTER
Well I live in Michigan also and plan on building one I just don't know yet if it's a truck or a trailer but you have a hot dog cart that I've been doing hot dogs on and doing pretty good with that just wanted to do something that I can get by in the Winter time that's what I want to do
That’s great most people don’t realize how much money can be made just from hot dogs!
great videos
Thank You John, I am just trying to make it easy for everyone to understand. That they can do this, it just takes a little push from someone. THE SEAMSTER
Hay Brother , I enjoy your videos . [food truck ] We learned a lot. Is there a part six ? would also like to see the back bumper [ platform ] you were making.
Looked you up on face book but could not find you. God bless stay safe.
John Lindsey Yes much more to come on food truck. A lot of businesses closed at this time. The SEAMSTER
Good looking thanks👍
Kashif Wright Thanks for the nice comment. I hope you start your own food truck and work for yourself. The SEAMSTER
Thank you so much
You can do it!
Excellent video. Having worked in food trucks a lot as a kid I might add that any overhead shelves
like the ones around the 35 min mark need tall people head bump cushion or guards. Some thing to cushion the
inevitable impact of foreheads and skulls hard at work. Just saying.
You are so right and the foam ones they sell in the summer for a dollar would work. The Seamster
You may have said it in the video, but they do sell frp glue you put on with a notched trowel. That way takes longer. But you’ll get better adhesion. Your final product does look good though.
Thanks and it’s still holding strong.
a man thanks for all this videos by the way i live in Michigan to
Awesome!!
My buddy and I are going to(start) flip a stepvan I have in to a gelato truck in the next couple of weeks. Would it be okay to email with ya back and forth a bit with any questions? Love the details you put in to every aspect!
Yes, you are making a great investment. Remember, take your time and appearance is very important to the people buying food from you! Get started on submitting your application plans to your health department now. That will take a few months to get approved. Take pics and videos as you go.
How did you secure the sinks into the counter tops? Did you use liquid nails to adhere the sinks to the frp then finish with silicone?
Great videos!!! I have a question about insulation, what kind should I use on the walls?
You can use r14 rolled or the 1 1/2 foam board but that stuff is very expensive. More videos are up and running :)
I've been wanting to do a food truck for some time period these videos are awesome and I have taught me a lot. Thank you.
Why do you have 4 sinks?
Remember you must have a wash hands sink. Also, your sink must be able fit the largest item to be cleaned. I will explain i future video. Thanks for the comment my friend.
in Michigan you need 4 sinks 1 is for wash 1 is for rinse and one is for sanitize and the last one is for hand wish you cant wash your hands were you wash your dishes
I have a dodge dakota with an ARE commercial topper on it. I want to convert it to a catering or sandwich truck to feed the homeless. Can you suggest any website, video etc. That could help me with the planning and construction. By the way I think your videos are encouraging, detailed and very precise. I am a handyman of 25 years looking to transition. You Rock
Paul Hamer my friend I don’t know of small truck conversions. To bad you didn’t have a van or trade truck for one. The SEAMSTER
Hi I’m building my food trailer my own and your videos are very helpful. I been looking if you have a video about the vent hood exhaust bc I purchased comercial one but didn’t fit on my trailer. Is to big I’m wondering if I can used one from Home Depot? Bc I don’t know if they require specifically one regarding to pass the inspection.
I will be using a home one also. Depends on your state, call and make sure. Some require fire suppression systems.
