Sup guys, in this video I will be doing a quick review of the Zowie G-SR vs the Steelseries QCK+ mousepad. Comparing both mousepads and checking the differences between them.

clean it, get it all the way wet and let it dry on a flat surface.
Probably bc you have a high sens and your mouse never reaches the sides.
Steel series definitely makes the best mouse pads hands down.

I feel like going for a qck is worth it but once it wears down then you can go for an artisan. But there is one problem. Its like trying to get a gpu.
@@gorillaglue5958 QCK is so cheap so it's not like that's really a big issue. Cost to performance ratio, the SteelSeries QCK is amazing. Not hard to see why they sell the most
As someone who owns a Qck heavy and the newer GS-R (Black). I honestly think the Qck heavy is better for fps games. I dunno how to describe the feel of the G-SR other than it feels like you are dragging your mouse through mud. It's always fighting against you when you are trying to make mirco adjustments. Which is the last thing you want when sniping.
I still swap it in from time to time but overall the QCK is superior & a safer choice especially for first time mousepad buyers.
How long you been using Qck heavy, is it still in good condition? I heard Qck+ don't last...

I’ve had my steel series mouse pad for about two years now and it’s held up great to see the least. There’s no tearing or lifting around the corners the only problem is it’s gotten dirty. The reason I watch this video is because I wanted to compare the two to see if the extra $15 for the Zowie is worth it
Try washing it when it gets dirty if you don't do that already. I just slap mine in the shower and wash it with soap and a soft sponge, then rinse clean and let it dry over night and it works great after. I'm thinking of buying a g-sr as well, it seems to be a bit slower pad and offer more control.

I just cleaned my qck and I guess it feels the same. I haven't even had it that long but it just doesn't feel right, it might be because its summer and it gets hot and humid around my way. I think I might go to the store and pick up the gsr. Or I might switch back to my old icemat glass mousepad that I used in cs 1.6 but the only thing I I don't like about it is its loud and smaller than the qck+. Decisions, decisions.

Have you tried washing the QcK? Dead skin and dirt can cause the pad to feel a bit rougher and gunked up.
Hi bro, good tip ! I washed mine twice and it does help but the sides lift up quicker after washing
If the zowie mouse pad doesn't require washing, then I'd prefer the gsr :)

I bought a cheap 7$ 80x30 cm mouse pad a year ago and pretty used to it and liked it so much. But the mousepad was short for playing csgo and had to buy a taller mousepad. Then i bought the gsr and oh boy it feels so smooth and good the first time i put my hand on it. But the problem is the gsr is TOO smooth. I have trouble aiming, spraying, and doing flicks. I'm so used to the cheap rougher pad that transitioning to this pad is a complete nightmare. I'm not saying i don't like it but the time it's gonna take to get use to the gsr is ughhh. Hopefully this problem will go away soon.

I'm having the same problem. I actually stole a mouse pad from my school (it's like a 10$ mouse pad) very very rough and Im worried that the gsr will be to smooth. But I'm wondering did you end up getting used to it and if you did do you like it?
I finally changed my pad to a qck+ xxl and I love it! Its not as smooth as the gsr, i feel like I have more control on my aim, and I don’t get that slight sliding/waving aim I get from the gsr. 👍
They're both control pads though imho. The Zowie is just an extreme example of a *real* control pad. That's why it's loved so much. Speed pads can't be anything slower than say an MP510 from CM imho. I'd consider AMP500 and of course pads like the Helios to be real speed pads (and there's at least 4 miles of difference between those two as well). The difference between a QCK and an AMP500 for instance is immense, especially if you use PTFE mouse feet. Good video btw man! What are you currently using?
AMP500 is one of the best pads I ever used, especially with ceramic feet. It’s almost hard to go back to anything cloth for me
I saw the first clip of the mouse pad and I wondered why so low sub count then I heard how dull the commentary was. I mean. It's difficult on a unboxing but still...

PS2: i'm not that interrested in the qck+ because it is too smooth because im a low sens guy too, im playing csgo with 400dpi and 1.3 sens 3/11 windows

I have also replaced my QCK+ with the G-SR. Unfortunately after a couple of months the annoying curl is still present, even after placing heavy books on it to flatten it out.
Yes agree with you on that one, have had it sitting for a few 2 weeks now and still curls. I'm going to try to put some books it on for a while
I heard you can put some fabric, like a sheet or towel over it, and iron on low without steam. I just ordered one and was worried about this as well

I was using Goliathus Control like 2 years and bought a new g sr and ec2-b mouse few days ago.
For me, speed was kinda the same on both mousepads. But on my flicks, when i flick with zowie g sr, i feel like i cannot stop the mouse at the exact point where i wanted to stop. G-SR was soooooo smooth and flexy, i mean it was really pretty and easy to do movements but i felt like the mousepad was stretching on my every flick. when i flick with my awp, i always over flicked.
Gone back to my Goliathus Control, and instantly felt that, i can stop my mouse movement exactly at the point where i wanted to stop and do very sharp movements which i felt like i am in control. Couldn't get used to play with G-SR and i just returned it back.
Any of you guys felt that you cannot control exactly and overflick on G-SR?
Would you say the G-SR has lower friction overall so it glides easier with less "strength" needed or it has just less stopping power while moving the mouse quickly? I am curious because in the video he said the QCK is quicker / faster than the G-SR. I am also using the EC2-B and i mine has a bit of coilwhine, do you have the same problem?

@@iwantum No easier glides, just less stopping power. i think glide speed is kinda same, maybe g-sr is lil bit faster. no i dont have coil whine ec2-b, but using s2 now.

it depends of your mouse and desktop, but for my experience in general i prefer the qck heavy

How are you likin the gsr so far?
Mixed feelings, currently trying to get used to the pad. After using the qck for so long this pad is different in many ways. I will upload a detailed review after getting used to the pad some more.
