Yeah I seen this vid multiple times ,i actually learned in this vid how to do it 4 or so years ago lol , thanks man , I had forgotten about this vid lol , I had followed you a quiet some time now , awesome 😎.
I've been wondering if my car already has one of these. I have a Mopar STS and poly bushings on both ends of the cables. my 3rd gear engages super smoothly. my car is basically stock also. 92k miles. Ive had this one for a month now. my 2nd srt-4
I would say check the bushings, cables and shifter, for ware and replace as necessary, I've seen cars that owners drove with bad shifter bushings, cables, damaged shifters all that stuff causes poor gear engagement and damage the transmission. If all this is fine and you have 3rd gear pop out on the down shift and you want to try a cheep fix to get a little more use out of the transmission a gear extender is an option but it is not a fix the damage already done and may need internal repair.
Arriba_Tijuas 21 save that one for last. use an open ended wrench and loosen it a little and work the shift plate up and work the bolt out a little till it's all the way out and then you can remove the whole shift plate.

Matt Mustang only.thing my trans does it lock me out of 1st until I'm doing like 5mph or less. does yours do that?
as a guess could be cable out of adjustment, worn blocking rings in transmission, or a shifter issue
Been trying to tap the bottom pin out and it won't move very much in comparison to the top which came out easily
2ser_srt2 heat her up
How did you remove the bolt that’s under?
