yea bro. that is the best informative srt4 video u took yet. I also have a pwerks stage 3 transmission. I don't remember if I got the modified fork. it's been great so far tho. only thing is I get a lot of clutch chatter and it may be because of my throw out bearing. I have a ACT HDSS clutch. great work tho.
With that broken fork, did you hear rattling when you push the clutch in? If not, what noise or symptoms did you have that let you know it was a broken fork? I'm experiencing a rattle noise only when I push my clutch to the floor.
+hellraizer06 I want to build more on the supra, unfortunately I'm not even living at my own house right now due to the evacuation and forest fire stuff. I do plan on taking it to the 1/4 mile this Friday if you're interested in that ;)
hay cool video but you def should include the section of removing the vacuum plumbing from the solenoids alot of ppl dont give that enough credit but its so critical
lucky people make these awesome parts to fix these faulty parts Dodge did....I love my neons but the srt trans just suck stock ...I'm happy dcr makes replacement parts for it but I still rather use 1st Gen trans with a lsd tho nice video tho
thought id send a post to you on here seen as your in my town and might know someone interested in the car im selling... i have a 2004 srt4 neon with a list on mods i can send you if interested...it runs around 350whp on a stage 3 set up...the name is ramsay and my number is 7809720286 text me if you can thanks...awesome videos by the way
Does that explain a grinding noise when I shift from second to third gear? I read that it may be a syncro and inout shaft issue but I am not really sure. Perhaps a Fork issue too but who knows? Can anyone who knows or had this problem help me fix it?
I'm having an issue where I can't go into reverse at the shift knob or at the selector I got it in once at the selector but it's really tough any idea? thanks
Iam Moetic hey man I don't know if you are having the same issue I did but when that happened to me I would have to put it into 1st gear and then go back in reverse. Sometimes I would have to blip the gas. The big problem with this transmission is that there are several weak components inside that will break if you shift hard. I only had mine for 30k miles then sold it and I can say I never ever shifted it hard. Nothing was broken but from the day I bought the car new reverse was problematic. Also these cars have an issue where the transmission will have major issues if your clutch isn't completely disengaging. I'd recommend that you jack the car up and put it in gear push the clutch in and rev it up. Do that for the first 3 gears. You don't need to floor it. If the wheels start spinning you may have an issue. Except the 03 these transmissions can handle plenty of power. The power isn't what breaks them typically. It's launching and hard shifting. You don't go that much faster from shifting hard. Also I recommend a short throw because it reduces the leverage you have on the transmission but I DO NOT recommend replacing all the shift bushings. Maybe just do one side. Leaving the shift bushings alone will suck up some of the impact from you shifting. I put 30,000 miles of hard driving on mine and never had an issue. My friend put 100k on his w/ just shy of 400whp on 91 and never had an issue with the trans. His was an 04. I knew several kids who's parents bought these cars for them and one guy destroyed his trans and had it warrantied and then messed it up again. His car had no major upgrades... It all came down to hard shifting, launching hard, hard 2nd gear changes (purposely spinning the tires again at 2nd gear). Some of the cars had an issue with 3rd from the factory that made issues worse. To fix that issue you need a special part that goes inside the transmission. Anyways... Start with jacking your car up to make sure the wheels don't move with the clutch pedal pushed down. Try the trick I told you with going back to 1st and then back to reverse. Mine seemed to act up most if the car was cold.
+Martez Johnson I wouldn't mind getting a bunch made and just shipping them out for free, you guys have been loyal to the channel and I'd like to give back :)
Dont blame you for not putting it in by yourself lol my wifes mini stock race car needed a new transmission and it took me and 3 friends to hold it, line it up, start a bolt.. Their a bitch lol
Boosted Lifestyle I thought pwerks upgraded the clutch forks as well just sucks it broke but everything is golden now. I can't wait to finish watching the rest of the Srt videos.
Boosted Lifestyle noooooo. Damn these cars are literally a hit or miss. I've had shitty luck with my srt-4s. This is the second one I've owned. I've never even had stock power to enjoy for awhile lmfao. I've always ended up with a boost leak that I can never find and a ton of "friends" that say they will help me fix it and never do smh.

+Jimmy T - SRT4 it's actually a stout setup. It's just bad engineering on dodges part 😂
Man I’ve been watching you for a while. Little did I know when I was looking for a video how to fix my trans baby Kyle would come up!!! 😂😂😂😂
😂😂 hope it helps
ahhhh the mysterious inner workings of a transmission...alas the secrets have been revealed! :)
+GoodeZilla the real secret is I actually got it in place by myself ;)
Boosted Lifestyle haha, awesome! probably did it with one hand too...what a monster :)
+GoodeZilla I had to use a ratchet strap...
Boosted Lifestyle Hey man, whatever it takes...you still did it by yourself! Nice job!
Awesome content man, keep up the good work. Can't wait to see parto two =P
I'm gonna take it for a nice dirty launch ;)
With that broken fork, did you hear rattling when you push the clutch in? If not, what noise or symptoms did you have that let you know it was a broken fork?
I'm experiencing a rattle noise only when I push my clutch to the floor.
Great video once again!!
Nice job dude!
+NinjaxBart thanks ninja man :)
You actually don't have to remove the entire transmission to remove the gearset. Can remove them from the drivers side with the guts exposed
+Erik Alvarado it's totally easier to do it outside the car though unless you have a lift
thank u for this I will need this soon
more supra build stuff 👍👍👍
+hellraizer06 I want to build more on the supra, unfortunately I'm not even living at my own house right now due to the evacuation and forest fire stuff. I do plan on taking it to the 1/4 mile this Friday if you're interested in that ;)
This neon better run 11s when I'm done !
+mloky sq probably
hay cool video but you def should include the section of removing the vacuum plumbing from the solenoids alot of ppl dont give that enough credit but its so critical
+Good_Evening_ Im_Tom_Tucker this particular car didn't use any of those solenoid valves thy are all deleted
Nice work. Did you guys upgrade the fork while you were at it or is it just a used OEM fork you threw in?
+Ben C we just put another oem fork in it, as it was available pretty local to get the car back 👍🏻
lucky people make these awesome parts to fix these faulty parts Dodge did....I love my neons but the srt trans just suck stock ...I'm happy dcr makes replacement parts for it but I still rather use 1st Gen trans with a lsd tho nice video tho
+that neon channel yeah, it wasn't designed the best. Even the input shaft is the stupidest design I've ever seen

What's the name of the piece in the minute ... where did you say "Broken Pieze" Thanks
where did you get those wheels?
I'm having an issue where I can't go into reverse at the shift knob or at the selector I got it in once at the selector but it's really tough any idea? thanks

You know you can replace a shift fork without removing the transmission right? You can pull the gears right out the drivers wheel well lol
Where can we get those "Boosted Lifestyle" hoodies?? Id buy one of those in a heartbeat
+Joey Augustus I didn't make them yet, I'm working on a logo :) I haven't had the interest in making apparel because there wasn't a lot of interest
What wheel specs are those esr's?
Hola! como se llama la pieza que cambiaste en el minuto 14:17 ?? Broken Pieze... gracias
Saladomix7 ese es el shift fork
Srt4 front wheel drive.. just saying it says remove rear axels. Just letting ya know. I broke my input shaft working on taking mine out now. 😢
do you have stickers
+Martez Johnson no I wish I knew how to make stickers, it's something I want to try and do soon, I have a sticker idea, I just suck at photoshop
When you do can i get one first
+Martez Johnson yeah =D for sure I'll post them in a video and just remind me :)
+Martez Johnson I wouldn't mind getting a bunch made and just shipping them out for free, you guys have been loyal to the channel and I'd like to give back :)

Ironically i did end up putting it in myself. I used a ratchet strap to hold it up and i basically bench pressed it into place lol
+Boosted Lifestyle damn you savage bruh! I got a question.. Do you even lift!? Haha 😂
+Cody MacRae sometimes 😂😂
I hope you got the broken tooth out of the transmission if it wasnt turned to dust.
+ReinyHighRoller I did! I have a picture of it I'm gonna put on my Instagram ;) supra_williams
Hi Adam!! :D
+HELLOXD7 hello! Hello!
I'm shocked the pwerks stage 3 didn't hold up!
+Kwezzy it was a stick shift fork apparently
Boosted Lifestyle I thought pwerks upgraded the clutch forks as well just sucks it broke but everything is golden now. I can't wait to finish watching the rest of the Srt videos.
+Kwezzy ahaha unfortunately it spun a bearing. He had the worse luck with this car
Boosted Lifestyle noooooo. Damn these cars are literally a hit or miss. I've had shitty luck with my srt-4s. This is the second one I've owned.
