    whats the difference between bones animation and fbf. I mean, yeah with fbf you can do it all, but for something simple or for a photoshop character the bones are the way to do it right?. what do you think? thank you😊😊😊😊😊😊😊

    • @JayBlackCult
      @JayBlackCult  Год назад

      Hi amazing Mia!! how are ya!!.
      So, yes, it's exactly as you said.
      For simple things you can use the bone system, and dynamic bones. Even for complex things. Or you can even use both, it depends on the scene you are creating.
      If you want to go professional, like, you will see the examples of the movies made in Moho, and there you will see that the characters are created in FBF, which gives you more freedom when it comes to animating. But yes, it is more difficult. If you want to animate something simpler, which can also be very professional, you can do it with bones.
      Look south park. You can use bones and create something amazing like that. As long as you do it with your heart, everything will be fine. Both ways are ok, depending on what you have in mind. try to use something simple using both techniques and you will see what it feels like. Let me know if you have questions!.

    • @JayBlackCult
      @JayBlackCult  Год назад

      Hey Naruto!!! how are you! :). thanks a lot!. and yeah, let see if I can help you right now. If you are working with a character made inside Moho, check this out, I think this will help you. ruclips.net/video/um_xZQy3L9k/видео.html. and if you are working with a character made in Photoshop, check this out ruclips.net/video/YjzXeOAHWHY/видео.html The next video is about how to prepare and add bones to more complex characters made in Photoshop. Now, about changing the bones, that´s a good one. I mention how to change them sometimes, but not how to use the same one with another character. I´m gonna take note of that one, and I will make a video answering questions. thanks a lot for that one, it´s a really good question!!. But the fast answer is... Let´s imagine that you have a Full character all done and rigged. just make a right click over the bone folder and click on Duplicate layer.

    Hey Jay I really love you tutorial and think you should develop a full series. A question though can most of what you have done in this Timon tutorial be done in Moho Debut. I do not have the budget for the Pro version right now. What about purchasing older versions like 12.5 pro which can be purchased at a discount?
    Anyway you are producing some great tutorials on Moho.

    • @JayBlackCult
      @JayBlackCult  6 месяцев назад

      Hi there Kgouvia nice to meet you!!. first, thanks for your words bro! 😃and second, I think that Moho Debut is awesome to learn.
      I think you should try the 30 free trial days
      If you are really interested and want to continue creating more complex animations, you won't get very far with the debut version.
      I think, for example, the dynamic bones are not included in the debut version.
      In my case, I have version 12.4 Pro. It is a bit old, but it has all the tools that you can see in my videos. It even served to create very good movies, look at the ones from cartoon studio.
      I think with that version you will definitely be able to do a lot.
      I'm still waiting for the drawing brushes to improve a little, but version 14 seems very interesting.
      Version 13 only, in my opinion, has the option to control the wind as a great feature.
      But it is always recommended that you can do the trial period to clear up any doubts.
      Check the Moho website to see the differences. And let me know if you have more questions.

    Hi I want thank you for explaining animating techniques I didnt exactly understood the concept or the differences between spacing until you explained it for a long time I used to doubt myself and ask myself why did everyone understood this and I was the only one who couldn't understand the fundamentals I used to feel like I either wasn't good enough or talented enough to create impressive stuff

    • @JayBlackCult
      @JayBlackCult  Месяц назад

      Hi Karla!! How are you today?.
      Oh, believe me I understand you perfectly. It happened to me too and for real, there's a lot to explain about how to animate, the number of frames, etc.
      Japan uses certain techniques, in USA its different, (depending on the studio), Disney usually invests a lot in its productions because of the high level of definition that the movements have on their characters.
      Actually, I'm planning a video explaining all this because it's very important.
      You know that, if you watch for example Gravity Falls, the Simpsons, old Disney movies, Hanna Barbera or Tex Avery series, and you compare them with animated series from other countries you can realize how they work. (I mean about their techniques)
      If you're working with Moho, you can watch the Cartoon Saloon movies, I talked about some of them on my video "5 things about Moho", there you can see the great potential of this software. But don't stop, keep investigating, if you really like drawing and animation, keep investigating and experimenting, you are gonna love it!!!!.
      Big hugs!!

    Yo, here’s an idea: I’d love to do a voiceover for one of your videos sometime, if you’re interested! Could be a fun collaboration! Do you use actual voice, or is it strictly voice-to-text? I’d happily do one to be a part of a Jay Black video! 😅
    Keep kicking ass, my man! Your stuff is so fun to watch!

      Dude!! I was watching your compilation video, LOL, you are Epic haha. Man thanks a lot for your support and your words!. and yeah sure that could be a nice collaboration, I´m planning to talk about the basic of Moho first, and then more about the gaming part. Cos besides the movies made in Moho, I know that it could be used to create games. so, It would be nice to have that mix when I get to that point. Maybe as a 3D modeler, we can talk about that too. Games + 3D and all that. A friend of mine worked for years creating characters and stuff for league of legends, I´m not sure if he still have his YT channel, but maybe we can do something with him too. gonna ask. and keep kicking ass bro!! I´m waiting for your new video hehe.

    Jay great technique and nice tutorial 👌
    I really appreciate your work and tutorials.
    Please i will like to ask, if this technique can work with rigged characters inside the frame by frame layer or having different characters in a group folder as one and inserting it inside the frame by frame layer?
    I await for your respond
    Cheers

    • @JayBlackCult
      @JayBlackCult  Год назад

      Hi there Ahem, Omg, sorry for the delay to respond.
      Soon I am going to post new videos with more information, I am moving these days and that takes time.
      To answer your question,
      Yes, you can use rigged characters and do frame by frame animation at the same time.
      Yes, you can use several characters at the same time. and it is perfect that you want to have each character in a folder, that’s the perfect way to have an organized project.
      You can even have organic and inorganic objects in other folders, like a background, a tree, or a cloud. Everything is part of the same frame by frame animation.
      When you create a scene, the best thing you can do is.
      Separate each character with folders.
      separates in a folder everything that is static,
      and in another folder everything that is animated background (leaves, clouds, etc).
      that way you will be able to work the animations in an organized way.
      Soon I´ll post a video answering these kind of questions.
      Again, sorry for the delay!!!.
      Anything you need please let me know and I´ll answer when I can.

      In this video you will see the basic tools to get started. Get a paper and pencil to write down everything you consider important.
      Then you can start with this ruclips.net/video/Dc6m9BFMt3A/видео.html
      To practice.
      And then go for the Stitch video ruclips.net/video/um_xZQy3L9k/видео.html
      Here you can practice how to create different expressions.
      First just practice how to draw. Then how to use the bones.
