I was in high school when Kath died and for a long time it wasnt the band I loved as a kid. But now I cherish every time I can see them. Even though no Bill. No Danny. Or Jason. It doesn't matter. What's important is someone is keeping the music alive whether it's this lineage or the wonderful musicians of Leonid & Friends. Every artist that has helped along the way deserves our respect. Enjoy the music while you still can. Sure, its not exactly the lineup you might want but this is true of the last 40yrs but its live performances of songs you love.

Jason has a good voice when he doesn't try to go beyond his obvious vocal range. If you listen to Chicago's first album with Jason, Chicago 18, and then 19, his voice was good. Unfortunately, it was David Foster who encouraged him to sing and sound more like Peter. Problem was Jason just never had the vocal range like Peter. Jason's voice at times sounded forced, and he had to cut notes short as he couldn't hold them long like Peter. I always wondered why on the song, 'Call on Me', they would always cut it one line short. Rarely would they have Jason sing the entire song. He just didn't have the singing chops like Peter. Had David Foster just left him alone, and let him sing within his vocal talent and range, I think Jason would have been a lot better and happier. It was bad enough the enormous shoes he was having to fill. But, to be a 2nd Peter, was just not reasonable to ask of anyone coming into that position.
